When the spasms eased, she collapsed onto the bed with him still deep inside her. He took his weight on his elbows, and lay gently on top of her, holding her.
“Shit. That was the most amazingly wonderful…” She ran out of breath, still panting.
His heavy breathing filled her ear. “Whoever would have thought that a simple bedroom could have excited you so much. I thought you liked it on my desk.”
“I did. I do.”
He rolled onto the bed, kissing her shoulder. “Well, since we’re banned from making love in the office, we’ll just have to continue to make each other happy here. What do you think?”
She turned her face to look at the twinkling green eyes set in his handsome face. “I think, Captain, that I could live with that.”
“Dave. Everybody calls me Dave.” He bent down and kissed her. Over the top of his shoulder, she looked through the open doorway and into the kitchen. There on the wall, was Fireman April, his emerald green eyes staring at her as she hugged tightly to the love of her life.
