Jaeda

It was my 16th birthday and I was faded. The blunts and bottles were overflowing, and I had the time of my life hanging with my Squad. This was definitely what we lived for. We were doing numbers in the streets and as young as we were, we had plenty of times like these ahead of us. My sister and Tone had went all out to make sure that I enjoyed my day, and I couldn’t ask for anything more. Even with the fight jumping off and gunshots in the club, I still had a blast.

Tone and I had snuck off from the Squad to go do our own thing. I was in love; Tone was really everything I needed and wanted. Even though I had nobody to compare him to, in my head he was in comparison to anybody. Tone grabbed my hand and practically dragged me down the hall. I was wobbly on my feet and stumbling behind him, and I didn't even have my heels on anymore.

"Bae, where you taking me? Our room was right next door," I whined as I pulled away from him and leaned up against the hallway wall.

"I'm trying to show you something and you fucking it up, all these damn questions blood." Tone leaned into my face and kissed my lips before he stooped down in front of me with his back facing me.

"Hop on drunkee," he said as I jumped on his back. Tone carried me outside to the parking lot, and I was puzzled to what he possibly had to show me at three in the morning in the damn cold. Even though it was a pretty warm day, in the bay when night fell, the temperature would drop a lot.

"Tone its cold, what are we doing out here? We can smoke in the room babe," I complained.

Tone walked over to this all white BMW 750 with the white and platinum custom wheels.

"This shit stubby, huh babe?" Tone asked me, cheesing his ass off.

"Yea it is clean as fuck, but that doesn't explain why we are standing here staring at the next nigga car, babe!" I was starting to sober up from the brisk air and all I wanted to do was get a little freaky with my boyfriend, but he was definitely on some other shit. Tone laughed out loud, and then pulled a set of keys from his pocket and unlocked the doors to the Beemer.

"Babe this you?" I asked, catching myself getting a little excited. He sat me on the hood of the car and stood between my legs as he wrapped his arms around my waist. We just sat there in silence for a second and enjoyed each other's presence as Tone buried his nose into my neck.

"Nah lil ugly, this all you," he said as he placed the keys into my hand.

"Whaaaat!" I screamed, "You bought me a car? Like no lie?" Tone started laughing, and I was shocked. I mean yes we were getting money, and I knew Tone loved me just as much as I did him, but a whole ass car was just outrageous. I was so shocked that I just sat there staring in his face. Here I was, just turned 16, and my boyfriend had bought me a foreign whip when he could have easily just bought me some Jordan’s and I would have been happy.

"Cut that shit out bruh, if you ain't figured out yet that I will give you the world and everything else then I don't know what else to tell you. A nigga trying to show you how you supposed to be treated, so quit questioning me and let me do my thing, aite Jae Money?" Tone just poured his heart out to me, and at that moment I knew he was mine, and there was nothing anybody could do to change that. I didn't answer him because I had no words; all I could do was kiss him passionately. I hopped off the hood of the car and opened the driver side door, and looked in at the plush pecan-colored leather interior. My name was stitched into the steering wheel, and I was in awe of my whip. I loved my car and loved my dude my; birthday was for sure complete.

"You’re a little too loaded to take it for a test drive right now, so you can do all that tomorrow," Tone said as he pulled me out the car and helped me back onto his back. We walked back into the hotel, and I was anticipating what was to come next. Tone and I were wild in the bedroom; it was like we just couldn't get enough of each other. I always felt the closest to him when we were having sex; when he was inside me, I would hold him so tight because I never wanted the feeling to end.

As we entered our room, I jumped off his back and stepped out my dress, standing before him in a black Victoria’s Secret V-string with a matching push-up bra that had my C-cup titties sitting right. I walked over to the nightstand and hooked my phone up to the in-room radio as Usher and Rick Ross’s “Let Me See” filled the room. I had butterflies in my stomach, praying that I didn't wind up looking like an idiot after I finished what I had planned. I wasn't a girly girl, and I had never put on a strip tease.

I started to wind my hips and tease my fingers through my hair as I walked slowly towards my baby. I saw his eyes twinkle just looking at me, and I hoped I didn't fuck this up. I had watched a few Beyonce and Ciara videos all week, just so I could learn a few moves. I dipped low, twirling my hips and opening my legs wide as I brought it back up. I put my all into this dance, because I wanted him to feel that I was all his. As I finished up my strip tease, I began to pop my ass – one cheek, two cheeks, both cheeks – and as I went to drop it low, I lost my balance and fell forward.

"Aagh!" I yelled out; as I sat up, Tone was sitting on the bed laughing his ass off. He was laughing so hard he had tears. I was so embarrassed; I had done great until the very end.

"That's what yo lil fast ass gets trying to be sexy, where you learn that sexy shit from?" Tone asked, still laughing.

"Fuck you!" I whispered; I was embarrassed. I got up and went into the bathroom, and his childish ass was still cracking up.

"Damn Antonio, it's really not that damn funny!" I yelled out the bathroom door. I grabbed his shirt and put it on before I came out the bathroom.

When I walked out, Tone walked up to me with a silly grin on his face, and I bypassed him and jumped on the bed.

"No, you doing all that laughing, don't touch me nigga," I said, trying to keep a straight face and get away from him by scooting to the edge of the bed.

"My bad baby, you know that shit was sexy as fuck," he said in a low tone laced with lust. He climbed on the bed reaching for me, and this time I didn't move as he pulled me into his chest, biting my shoulder.

"Ouch babe, stop!" I yelled; he laughed and did the same to my other shoulder. "Ouch, nigga it hurt," I pushed him as I threw a soft punch that landed on his chin.

"Oh you want to play huh?" he asked as he threw me over his shoulder and bit down on my left ass cheek. I knew I was going to have marks all over after messing with him.

Tone and I play fought for about 10 minutes, and I was winded. I laid across the bed trying to catch my breath as Tone dipped his head between my legs and began to slurp up all my creamy sweetness. Tone brought me to an orgasm quick. I was sounding like an asthmatic – he had me so out of breath. Tone began to kiss me from my thighs up my hips, across my belly and up my chest, all the way to my lips as he let the head of his penis tease the opening of my pussy. I was so ready I began to grind into him as he slipped right in. I gasped at the feeling that came as he entered me; this is where I wanted to be.

Uncle Ken

It had been a little over six months since my nieces had been added to my team, and I swear pushing them off the porch was the best thing I ever did. My own family was making me money, but the money I had coming in from the East side blocks had me feeling like the King of the city. Yeah, those girls and their little boyfriends were out there doing their thing. Shit, they were driving whips cleaner than my daughters and Tommy. I admired their little crew, Gas Squad. They were definitely ringing bells in the streets; they had a team of assembled hustlers, shooters, and hitters. They were all trained to go, and I loved hearing stories about them in the streets. When I would go out to hang at the motorcycle clubs, I would constantly hear about Gas Squad. My profits had increased by 3 times of what I was previously bringing in having them on my blocks in the East; they hustled hard and hustled strong, and it showed.

As big as these kids were getting, I was going to have to remind them sooner rather than later who buttered their bread. I couldn’t have them thinking as though they could make it further without me – that was out. I’m the King of this city, and it is not a top if I’m not up there, so I hoped they would continue with the way we had been running things, because I would hate to have to hurt anybody. I wasn’t the type that was trying to retire and pass on my legacy through my children. Fuck no, I was a stingy bastard and I knew it.

Everybody under my roof had to kick in, but when I died, this business would die with me. No passing off the connect’s number or leaving bricks in case I didn’t make it. Nah; when I died, they would remember me and only me. They wouldn’t compare my son to me or anybody else, because I was definitely the man in this city. If my kids wanted their time to reign, they would have to start at the bottom and make their own name, just as I had.

I respected the fact that my nieces didn’t want to do this forever at first, but with the amount of money that I was making with them on the block, I couldn’t afford to lose them. Laela and Jaeda had inherited that hustler’s mentality from their parents and I was happy to be the one to bring it out of them. They had the potential to be big time in the streets; they had the drive and street wit to build an untouchable empire, but I didn’t want them to get the idea that they were going to strong arm me out of mine, or takeover what I had built. Even though their mouths said this was temporary, I knew what money and power would do to a person. It was insatiable – the more you had, the more you wanted.

I didn’t have time for anything to distract them from getting this money, and these relationships were bound to get in the way of it and I couldn’t have that. I was about to have a sit down with the Gas Squad, because money was the ultimate goal. I knew those girls were fucking, so I had Shae set them up with appointments at the Planned Parenthood so that they would use protection. I wasn’t about to be having no babies running around my damn house.

I sat at my desk smoking a blunt to the face as I waited for the Squad to arrive. I thought about the approach I would take because I may have been selfish, but I was far from stupid. I wanted them to all remain loyal to me, but there was going to definitely be some understanding.

About fifteen minutes later, I was snubbing out the doobie that was in between my fingers when Jah and Tone walked through the door.

“What’s going on youngins?” I looked up as they took seats around the table that I had in my office. My house had a family room upstairs and downstairs, so I used the downstairs room for multiple purposes. It was towards the back of the house and was closed off by double doors. I had made the room sound proof and installed weed neutralizers on two sides of the room. I had an 80-inch TV mounted on the far wall, and four La-Z-Boy recliners that were placed towards the TV. There was a large couch that sat on the wall to the right of the chairs, with a coffee table beside it. On the opposite end of the room, I had the conference table set in the middle and a small bar built in behind it. This room was cozy and perfect to come chill in, and also perfect to conduct meetings. Next walked in Rico, Brayden, and the twins, who all came in, spoke, and took a seat. I don’t know how Jaeda and Laela were the last to come in when they were sitting in the kitchen eating me out of house and home when I first came in here. It was a good thing money wasn’t an issue, because 5 teenagers were not the cheapest to feed.

After a few minutes of small talk with the guys, my nieces and Lexis walked in giggling probably, about some kind of gossip or whatever. I was ready to get this meeting done and over with because I had things to do. I was throwing a party for Tommy’s 21st birthday at one of the clubs that Shae and Quita worked, and I had a bunch of details to still iron out. The party was about business, but the celebration would be a great cover up.

The owner of the club, James, was in a great deal of debt and was about to lose the place, so I had convinced him to let me buy him out of it. He wouldn’t lose the club to the bank, but I would pay the bank and throw him a little something for the takeover, and I would own all rights to the club. With $50,000 extra and no bankruptcy, he could relocate and retire. I had already met with a contractor about the changes and was meeting up with them today. I had exactly two months to have all the remodeling and rehiring done before the party. The party was the unveiling of the new club.

I had changed the name from Purple Paradise to The Hideout. I had been working so hard to get everything together, and nobody even knew about it. I would be firing a few of the main dancers and replacing them with some that I had recruited through the other surrounding clubs, and I was hiring two more bartenders but for the most part, I would be keeping everybody else – unless they wanted to go. The week of the party, I would filter in the new employees and give the bartenders, waitresses, and security their new uniforms. The club will still be open during renovations but only at night until the party, and then we would go back to regular club hours.

“Okay, now that I got all the thugs in the room,” I said, leaning back and pouring myself another shot of Patrón. “I don’t need the numbers today because this wasn’t a scheduled meeting, but I did want you all to know that I’m very pleased with what is going on out on the blocks.” I looked around the room into the faces of my young team, nodding my head in approval. “It’s some young niggas in the 60’s that are looking to expand, and two of our blocks are under their scope. I’m going to need y’all eyes and ears open more than usual, because I heard these niggas are wild so I don’t know what to expect.”

In Oakland, or the “Town” as they called it, we didn’t bang colors. It was all about blocks out here; you had the hoods and blocks, and then you had the avenues. You also had other gangs that came up every few years, which were more so an assembly of friends that came together on some hustling or murder game shit and gave themselves a name. Just like Gas Squad. Out here in the Bay, it was nothing to go to another city and hustle, or move around the Town if you had affiliations – not that it wouldn’t be any static about it, but it was easy to do. The Bay Area bred hustlers, the kind of niggas that did it all from pimping to robbing, and grinding to white collar scams. If you came up out the Bay, you were well rounded in getting money because your mouthpiece was everything. Niggas from my era could talk your mama out her kitchen table and make her believe it was still there.

“So who these niggas fuck with?” asked Rico. He was a little trigger-happy, but not enough for me to be worried about it. Shit, he was mild compared to a lot of youngsters out here.

“The leader of their crew is a young nigga named Mess; he’s from 6-5 Ville and he wants the 60’s on lock, and you know I’m not giving up those blocks,” I replied. “6-4 to 6-9 are our money making blocks, and I’m not about to let them go to them niggas; they trying to expand out and I don’t need them trying to push up into my shit.”

Between my crews in the West and the East, plus my niggas I had on call, we could go to war with these niggas, but you can’t make money when you’re fonkin’. My crews were well trained when it came to handling those choppas; 30 rounds or better is how we came, so if this crew came I hope they were ready. I had no intentions on losing anything or anybody.

“I just found the nigga Mess on Instagram. Mmm, he an ugly black ass nigga too,” Sage said; her ass didn’t hold anything back. “I’m about to follow his ass from my fake account and see what these niggas about,” she said while scrolling through her phone.

“What you got a fake account for?” Jah asked.

“Because you niggas be shady and I be needing to see what’s really good, who they baby mama’s are and all that; plus when these new niggas pop up out nowhere, it’s easy to get to them.” What she said actually made sense, so I told her to watch them and find out everything she could about their crew. These young niggas put everything on social media nowadays and wondered why they getting caught up and knocked down.

“Alright but check this though, I need you all to be focused. Jah, Laela, Tone, and Jae – I’m not really feeling how serious things are getting with the four of y’all,” I began. “I understand that you love each other, but I don’t want that love to come between getting this money.” I could see fire dancing in Tone’s eyes as I spoke. “Matter of fact, the rest of you can leave – let me holla at these four in private.” The rest of the squad nodded and left the room. “I mean, do you really know what real love is? I know you may think you are in love, but y’all so young and haven’t experienced much else. I’m just thinking maybe y’all should cool it and focus a little more.” I lit the blunt that was sitting in front of me as I stared at the four kids in front of me. Tone was the first one to speak, I figured because he was the hothead out the bunch; he and Jaeda were definitely two peas in a pod.

“Ain’t this some shit!” Tone chuckled while shaking his head. “How the fuck are you gonna tell us to just chill? All due respect OG, but I love my girl and that’s by my standards not anybody else’s. Love ain’t never had no boundaries, so I ain’t letting anybody put none over here.” Tone leaned forward and continued speaking with a little more bass than I was feeling. “I will go to hell and back for Jae Money and I know she would do the same for me, so all that chill shit is out the window, you may pull rank with these streets but I’m the man over here homey!” he said, pointing between him and Jaeda. I nodded my head; I was heated, but I couldn’t do anything but respect the little nigga’s mind. “Aye real shit OG, I feel the same way; me and Laela in a good place and we might be young, but we not out here living reckless and shit. We focused as shit and money will always be the motive, but this here is real.” Jah grabbed Laela’s hand as he continued. “I will lay my life down to give her the world, and ain’t nobody going to come between that, nah mean?”

I chuckled and sipped my Patrón. These niggas were the truth and I couldn’t deny it. At their age, I just wanted pussy and money – all that love shit was irrelevant. It was funny because half a year ago, the girls were really quiet and it was like they evolved over night; I guess the streets did that to you. They had a way of hardening the most delicate flower. I may not have showed it, but I was proud of this bunch; they were definitely on their shit.

“You know what, you’re right,” I said “Who am I to interfere in the affairs of the heart? All I know is if this don’t work out between y’all, my money better not get stuck in the crossfire. Money is my bitch, and just like you would kill over your bitch, I will kill over mine,” I said, clenching my teeth and staring at each and every one of them.

“We got you Unc, we know what’s expected; even if we broke up, we still a squad and I’m going to always rock with my day ones no matter what,” Jaeda said while rolling a fat blunt of some cookies.

“Well now that we are all in agreement, I think this meeting is complete; just remember where you started. Don’t let the money bring up any bright ideas; I trust the four of you to keep your Squad in line because, I have no problem eliminating any problems. Feel me?”

With that, I rose up out my seat and walked out the room. I had to be at the club in 45 minutes and still had to cross the bridge to get to the City. With an extra burst of reassurance, I could breathe a little easier knowing that my team was on point.
