Piper took a deep breath.  When she was just a little bit younger, she actually enjoyed going to weddings.  They were a good excuse to party with some of her friends and drink a little bit too much.  Now that she was past the mid-point of her 20’s, weddings were beginning to feel more like an opportunity for the whole town to ask her the same dreaded question, “When’s
your
turn?!”  Piper didn’t like the pressure, and she didn’t like being put on display in a pink taffeta dress either.  At least there was still the bar.  Donny’s horn blared again, more insistently this time.

“Hold your freaking horses, I’m coming!” Piper shouted before grabbing her purse from the top of her dresser.  Moving through the house, she picked up a wrapped wedding gift from the kitchen table and headed out the door.
