With him stifling her, Kathryn released everything pent up inside. The month of loneliness, the weeks of sexual solitude, and the soul-crushing desire to have this man be one with her in the most delightful of ways.

She opened her eyes in time to see Ian’s bearing down upon her, overtaking her ability to think about anything but the pleasure she was giving him in turn. When her inner walls claimed him for herself, Ian growled in appreciation and completely turned the tables on this naughty tryst in an office that belonged to neither of them.

Ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod…
Kathryn’s mind blanked out, succumbing to endless pleasure as her orgasm refused to abate. Instead she was trapped in a cyclone of unyielding desire, her body unable to come down from its high. The plateau she endured challenged her ability to stay within herself, because all she wanted was to escape to another world where nothing mattered but this pleasure and how Ian gave it to her.

For he was
taking
her there. The man had a mission for both himself and Kathryn, thrusting into her with such determination that she did not doubt for a single second that she belonged to him. This was it. This was her reason for being alive in this very moment. No matter what happened outside of this office, they would always have this moment. They may be crowded out in the house, but they found their slice of paradise in this room…

The sound exploding from Kathryn’s body brought Ian to nirvana with her.

Kathryn felt him climax before hearing it, as often was the case with making love. Yet this time it came a whole two seconds before, as if Ian couldn’t even feel it for himself at first.
That’s how good I am.
Kathryn clenched around his cock, refusing to let him go as he released every drop of his pressure into her.

And the sound he made? Kathryn nearly died from the rough, animalistic sound emanating from his throat. She felt like she was being caught and claimed by the most basic of all human desires...
Sex and love.
She would revel in both.

As his thrusts slowed, Ian released Kathryn’s mouth and leg, letting her collapse into the couch and catch her breath. Slowly, she came down from her high, her long, arduous orgasm dissipating through her body until she could function again. “Oh my God,” she whispered, opening her eyes to see Ian struggling to stay looming over her. “That was the fucking best. I haven’t come that hard in forever.”

“Forever is a long time,” Ian said, breathless, his hips struggling to pull back from her.
Where do you think you’re going?
Kathryn was greedy
and
possessive when it came to sex. Ian wasn’t going anywhere. “Unless you mean a month is forever.”

In truth, “forever” went back to two or three weeks before they were separated.
What? He can’t pitch a no-hitter every time we fuck.
Winning the game by the seventh inning stretch and smacking some home runs out of the park was enough for Kathryn. In fact, she was pretty sure she couldn’t survive coming
that
hard every time she had sex.

“I love you, Katie,” Ian said, fingers losing purchase on the back of the couch. “But I really need my cock back.”

“No you don’t.” Kathryn’s nails ran along his sweater, feeling the strength that took her to heaven and back. “It’s going to stay right here inside me forever.” The man underestimated the strength of her kegels.

“Fantastic. My girlfriend’s dick drunk.”

“Doesn’t take much these days.”

As reality settled back in, Kathryn released her hold on Ian and let him pull out of her.
The worst part.
Not just because it marked the end of their lovemaking, but because feeling his wide tip pull past her opening was uncomfortable at best. A good kind of uncomfortable, but uncomfortable nonetheless.

“That is one of the hottest things in the world.” Although as wiped out as Kathryn, Ian still managed a diabolical smile as he watched his seed spill from Kathryn’s stretched opening.
Hope James doesn’t use this couch much.
Kathryn did not give a single shit right now. Endorphins were too powerful. “You’re amazing, my love.”

He finally joined her on the couch, carefully putting himself away as he sighed against the plush leather and leaned against Kathryn’s shoulder. She gradually closed her legs and pulled her shirt back down. “That took two people to make happen.”

“Don’t I know it.”

They waited five more minutes, cuddling together on the couch, nibbling one another’s lips, and whispering the words they had wanted to say over the past month. By the time they realized how long it had been since they left the dinner table, they were rushing to put their clothes back on, Kathryn wondering where the nearest bathroom was.

“Think they missed us?’ Ian asked, when she emerged from the small water closet attached to the office. “I bet our dinners are cold.”

She linked her arm with his and snaked her fingers along his hand. “We ate dessert first anyway.”

“You didn’t eat anything.”

Kathryn kissed his cheek and whispered into his ear. “Later. In bed.”

Indeed, their dinners were quite cold when they got back to the table.

Chapter 6

Jasmine

If there was anything Jasmine Bliss did
not
understand about the world of the elite and rich, it was the parlor games they started up for a lack of anything else to do – and from too much after-dinner booze.

Henry Warren was up for the latest round of charades. Jasmine sat in the middle of the couch, between Ethan and Monica, watching in wonder and horror as the tall, blond man held up two fingers and began dancing around like an idiot.
This is the least composed I have ever seen him.
Also the drunkest.

“Singer!” Monica called.
And that’s the loudest I’ve ever heard her speak.

When Henry shook his head, everyone went back to the drawing board.

“Politician,” Ethan said. “Dancing fucking monkeys.”

Of course those two would be on the same wavelength. Jasmine had a feeling that two lovers of Monica Graham would have to think the same way. No wonder Henry and Ethan were such close pals during dinner.

After nodding, Henry commenced holding up his fist and acting like he was going to punch himself.

“Oh man,” a half-drunk Ian said into his glass of cognac. “I can’t remember their fucking names. I’m… I’m too drunk.”

“It’s on the tip of my tongue.” Kathryn slapped her boyfriend’s thigh in her excitement.

“That’s not all on the tip of her tongue.”

Kathryn smacked his flesh so hard that Ian almost dropped his glass in surprise.

“Raymond Mitchell,” Ethan said, on the verge of a yawn. “Next.”

Jasmine patted her boyfriend’s leg.
Someone’s getting sleepy.
When it came close to Ethan’s bedtime, he had a habit of growing an attitude that did not make him the life of the party. It made Jasmine feel like she had to apologize for him every five minutes. Except they were with friends – or at least Henry and Monica were friends. And Nadia, Jasmine supposed.

Nadia, who got up from the corner she was working in and approached her employer with trepidation… “What should I do about the charts due on Monday?” she whispered, kneeling next to Ethan’s seat. “Do you want them done tonight or tomorrow?”

“Tonight would be better, but don’t tax yourself.”

“I think I’ll go up to my room and work on them.” Nadia went back to the desk she worked at, gathered her things, turned down a glass of cognac from Eva standing in the corner, and left the study.

Eva put the glass down with a huff. Even though she said nothing, everyone knew what she was thinking when she crossed her arms.
Poor Nadia.
Or was that poor Eva? No, it was definitely poor Nadia, who was working herself to ragged overtime. During dinner, Nadia confessed she took on this extra work so she could buy her parents a vacation for Christmas. Sex, even with a stud like Eva, was probably the last thing on her mind.
She could probably use it.

“You’re up, Cole.” Henry tossed Ethan the bowl full of paper slips. “Time to be a thespian.”

Ethan caught the bowl, but handed it to Jasmine without a second thought. “Think I’m going to pass.” He finished his glass of cognac and turned down the fresh glass Eva still had in her hand. “I’m really tired. I’d rather turn in early and get a fresh start tomorrow.” He looked to Jasmine. “We’re going for a walk in the woods bright and early.”

Jasmine forced a smile.
Fuck you, Ethan.
Mushroom hunting. Ethan Cole wanted to go
mushroom
hunting because he was a weirdo who liked plants a little too much.

Everyone else likewise smiled politely, although Ian muttered something into his glass that made Kathryn hide a laugh in her hand. Monica intervened by saying, “Still learning about mushrooms, Ethan?”

“Naturally.” He stood, straightening out his jacket and smoothing out his trousers. “Jasmine’s become quite good at identifying the poisonous ones. Sometimes I wonder if she’s trying to get her inheritance a bit too early.”

Jasmine laughed, uneasily, and Monica was the only other person to smile. Probably because they were the only people in that room who understand Ethan’s dry humor.

“By the way, I would appreciate you coming with me for a moment.” Ethan held his hand out to Jasmine. “I need to speak with you about tomorrow. I won’t keep you from the socializing too long.” His wink was almost genuine.

Jasmine took his hand and was helped up. She sent Monica an apologetic look before joining her boyfriend in the empty – and cold – hallway.
I miss the fireplace already.
She hoped their room had one and that it was stoked already. If she saw Bernadette the maid anywhere around there, she would be sure to ask.

“Yes?” Jasmine asked, as soon as they were alone. “I thought we already had our plans solidified for tomorrow…”

Ethan took her hand and dragged her across the hall.
Uh oh.
Jasmine recognized that brute strength. Her heart leaped in her throat as Ethan made sure the coast was clear before opening a door and hauling Jasmine inside.

It looked like an office. One with a locking door, if Jasmine heard what her boyfriend was doing correctly. A single light turned on in the corner. “Ethan… what is…”

He kissed her with the strength of a man with a point to prove. Jasmine stumbled backward, against the wall, her body reacting in the only way it knew how – with instant arousal.
Fuck that!
Her brain wanted an explanation first!

“Excuse me,” she said curtly, pushing Ethan away. “Is there something I can help you with,
sir?

“Oh, right, sorry.” Ethan opened his jacket pocket and pulled out his girlfriend’s crimson collar. “I need you to put this on.”

Hold
up.” This was happening too fast, even for Ethan Cole, the man who used to pay Jasmine to be sexually available to him at all hours of the day. Now he collared her when he wanted to enact those scenarios. They weren’t a lifestyle BDSM couple – thank God – but they had the collar to clearly dictate when they were having a scene. “First, what is going on, Ethan, and second… did you go through my purse to get that? Because that’s where I last left it.”

“I plead the fifth on the second question.” Ethan cleared his throat, caught. “As for the first… well, can you
blame
me, Jasmine? We were going to have a romantic time this weekend, and here we are, trapped with two other…”

Jasmine put her hands on her hips. “Two other
what?
” Oh, she had a good idea of what he was about to say. “
Two alpha men.”
Ethan was hilarious. He was so used to being in complete control wherever they went. Jasmine was often the only person in the world – besides Monica, perhaps – who could make Ethan behave when he got too uppity for his own good. Trapped in a house for a weekend with two other men known for being Doms in the city’s kink scene? Two Doms with big reputations? With women who submitted to their desires, whether it was lifestyle or scene by scene? Ethan Cole probably had the angriest erection in the whole house. How the fuck was he going to assert himself when he couldn’t even put his hands all over his girlfriend without embarrassing the both of them?

Ethan was a man who kept his kink behind the scenes. He barely went to the kinky club The Dark Hour unless business dealings were happening there.

Yet Ethan Cole didn’t say “two alpha men.” Instead, he said, “Two very sexual couples.”

“Everyone’s been behaving themselves tonight…”

Ethan looked around the office. “You’re kidding, right? Use your senses, Jasmine.”

She put her arms down in a haughty huff. “What are you trying to…” Her deep breath caught her by surprise. In her nostrils was a heavy perfume that she thought she left behind in the study.
That’s Monica’s perfume...
