CHAPTER ONE

David jumped out of bed and looked around for his pants.
Shit!
They were still in the kitchen, where Andrea had pulled them off earlier. As he ran to grab them, he tried to gather his wits about him and figure out what to do about the biker guy pounding on Andrea's front door. He guessed that Danny considered Andrea his woman, even if Andrea didn't return the sentiment.

It was probably only minutes, maybe seconds, until the tattooed muscle-bound dude David caught a glimpse of the night before was pounding on David's head instead of the front door.

David grabbed his cell phone from his jeans pocket and dialed his father.

"David, where are you? Your mother was frantic when you didn't come home last night."

"Dad, no time to explain now. I spent the night at Andrea's house. Listen, do you guys still have that Neighborhood Watch hotline thing?"

"The one for emergency help in the neighborhood? Sure."

"Great. Call it now and then the police. There's someone trying to break into Andrea's house, and he appears to be one mean son of a bitch."

"OK, son. Done. Be careful!"

David returned to check on Andrea, who had her head peeking through the door of her closet. "Stay put. I'll take care of this," he said.

As David passed the family room on the way to the front door, he spied Andrea's son's baseball bat propped up against the bookcase. He stashed it next to the front door and stepped outside.

Before he had a chance to speak, Danny got in his face.

"You little punk. What the fuck are you doing here? Where's that cheating little bitch?"

"Better get going, Danny. In a few minutes, the police and the neighborhood watch will be here, and you won't get a cordial reception," David said, not flinching.

Danny took the first swing, which David blocked with his forearm. He was ready for the undercut he knew was coming next and got a blow into Danny's middle first. The larger man took the blow easily and lunged forward. David stepped aside, caught Danny's arm under the elbow, and twisted the arm up and and behind Danny, forcing him to his knees.

David heard the sound of fast footsteps on the street and knew the reinforcements were beginning to arrive. He leaned in and growled in Danny's ear.

"Like I said, Danny Boy, better leave before the troops get here."

Danny turned his head and saw three men coming up the driveway. He nodded to David. "All right, all right. Let me up. I'll go."

David released his grip and gave Danny a light shove in the direction of the motorcycle that was pulled up almost to the front door of the house.

"This is just a small sampling of what you can expect if you ever show up here again. Got it?"

Danny hopped on the bike, revved the engine, and spat on the ground. He drove the bike up to where David stood.

"This isn't over, kid," he said before turning the bike around and roaring off past the crowd of neighbors who were gathered and the police car that just arrived.

The cop jumped out of his vehicle and yelled, "Should I pursue him?"

David shook his head. "No. I think it's all right now."

"Well, I'm going to have to come in and get some information so I can file a report on the complaint we received."

David nodded. "I'll get Mrs. Whitney and let her know you're here."

David found Andrea still cowering in the closet. He took her in his arms. "He's gone. The neighborhood posse showed up as well as a policeman, who wants to come in and talk to you so he can file a report."

He held her out at arm's length and smiled. "Better put some clothes on first, though! I'll go out and wait with him until you're ready."

It was only a few minutes until Andrea joined David, his father, and the cop in the family room. The officer stood up when Andrea entered the room.

"Good morning, Ma'am. I'm Officer Jim Struthers. I need to get some information from you about the man who tried to break into your house. I've been told the man's name is Danny Sullivan. Is that correct?"

Andrea nodded and sat on the couch next to David.

She answered the routine questions about Danny and their relationship before the policeman delved into the events of the day.

"Did he threaten you in any way today?"

"No. I was afraid to answer the door, so David went out."

"Why were you afraid?"

"Danny has a terrible temper. He's jealous, and the way he was leaning on the bell and pounding the door scared me."

"Has he ever been physically abusive to you?"

Andrea looked at her hands and turned away from David. The officer repeated his question.

"Yes, he's been physical with me."

"Have you reported the incidents?"

Andrea sighed. "No. But I ended the relationship several weeks ago, and I thought I'd seen the last of him until yesterday. He saw me at a club with David and grabbed me. David and the security guard at the bar intervened."

"Mrs. Whitney, are you fearful that he'll return?"

David interrupted. "Officer, you should know that when Danny was taking off on his bike, he told me, 'This isn't over.' Those were his exact words."

Andrea's eyes widened.

David turned to Andrea. "I'm sorry. I haven't had a moment yet to tell you that."

The officer reviewed his notes and verified times.

"Mrs. Whitney, there's little I can do about what happened here today, except report it as a disturbance."

He turned to David. "Would you like to file a report about the assault?"

David shook his head. "No, but what can you do about protecting her from further incidents?"

The officer closed his book. "The only real recourse you have, Mrs. Whitney, is to file an injunction if you believe you're in danger of becoming the victim of abuse."

"How does that work?"

"You get the forms from the clerk of the circuit court. There's no fee to file. If you ask, you can be notified within twelve hours of when the restraining order is served."

"I don't know," Andrea said. "That might make him madder."

"Violation of the injunction is punishable by up to one year in prison and/or a fine of up to one thousand dollars. Mr. Sullivan will be advised of the consequences, Ma'am."

Andrea nodded as she walked him to the door. "I guess I can do that on Monday. Thanks, Officer."

David turned to his father. "Dad, thanks for making those calls this morning. I'm not sure Danny would have left if it was just me he was dealing with."

Mark shook his head. "Taking him on alone was a brave, but stupid, thing to do, David. I'm glad it all worked out, but I'm concerned about the comment Danny made before leaving. Now it seems he could be after you as well as Andrea."

"Don't worry, Dad. I can take care of myself—and Andrea."

David didn't want to mention it in front of his father or Andrea, but he felt confident of handling Danny and any friends he might bring along. He had karate training, and while he was no black belt, he could fight off a pack of losers like Danny and friends.

He turned to Andrea. "Listen. I'm going to stay with you, for at least the rest of my break. What about your kids, though? Are they safe?"

Andrea's hand flew to her mouth, and David saw worry spring into her eyes.

"I don't want to chance it until I know," she said. "I can ask my parents to keep them for a few more days. They've wanted to take them up to the Orlando theme parks for a while. This might be a perfect time, right before school starts again."

David caught his father's eye. "I'm not going to back down from this, so I'm counting on you to spell this all out for Mom. Can you do that for me?"

Mark sighed. "I'll handle your mom, but I think you and Andrea might want to stay away from Club Secrets for a while."

He reached over and took Andrea's hand. "He may come looking for you there."

Andrea nodded. "It's not a problem. There are other places we can go."

Mark stood up. "Good. David, stop by our house for a few minutes later today and talk to your mother. I know she'd appreciate that from you."

David hesitated. "Yeah, all right. Thanks again for everything."

David walked his father to the door, wondering why he was more apprehensive about talking to his mother than meeting a lout like Danny full on.

CHAPTER TWO

Not finding Andrea on the couch when he returned to the family room, David followed the smell of coffee brewing to the kitchen. Andrea was at the sink, washing fresh fruit.

David smiled, remembering how finding her in the kitchen earlier in the morning with only her skimpy bathing suit had set off the best fucking he had ever had. His cock expanded in his pants, just thinking about it.

Even in the cutoff shorts and tee shirt that Andrea had put on for her visit with the police officer, she looked sexy as hell. But then, she'd look sexy in a burlap sack! David came up behind her, put his arms around her waist, and buried his face in her neck.

"Now I remember," he whispered in her ear. "You were making breakfast, and I had the best meal of my life."

Andrea took a deep breath and turned to him. "David, I appreciate what you did before. It meant everything to me. But please don't feel that you have to stay here until you go back to school. You deserve some time off to have fun."

"Really? And what do you think would be more fun than the time I spent with you this morning?"

She smiled. "I enjoyed it, too. But I don't want to be a burden to you, and I certainly would never forgive myself if you got hurt."

"Don't even give that another thought. I'm certain I can handle anything that comes up, and unless you tell that you don't want me here, I'm staying with you."

Andrea put her arms around his neck and kissed him, pressing close against him.

David's bulge stabbed her abdomen, and she pulled away with a big grin on her face.

"Listen, I'm starving, and I know you must be. Your mother tells legendary stories about your capacity for food. So, let's eat before this progresses any further."

"On one condition."

"What's that?"

"You don't bring up my mother—or my father, for that matter—again."

Andrea laughed and nodded. "Done. Now let me finish making the fruit salad and warm up the bacon and eggs that are cold by now. Go sit at the table."

David did as he was told. Andrea brought him a heaping plate, and he wasted no time shoveling down the contents.

"You're right," he said, and grinned at Andrea, who was seated across from him with a portion one-tenth the size of his. "I didn't realize how hungry I was."

He quickly drank the glass of orange juice. By the time he set the glass back on the table, he noticed that she was finishing her last bite.

David pushed away from the table and was at her side in two quick steps. He reached into the elastic waistband of the tiny shorts she was wearing and yanked down.

Andrea lifted up and let him remove her shorts and panties. She sat back in the chair and spread her legs apart.

"Do you want dessert?"

"You bet, and you seem to know exactly what I want."

David fell to his knees, positioning himself between her legs. He spread her folds apart and ran his fingers up and down her slit, lubricating his fingertips with her juices.

Bringing his wet fingers to his mouth, he closed his eyes and savored the taste. "You have the best tasting pussy in South Florida, I bet. Maybe the world."
