“Hey, boss. About time you dragged your ass in here.”

“Shut up. I just got the files Bobby sent me. Did you warn Bert that he was going to be getting a set of them as well?”

“Yes, sir. He was happy to hear it. At least, it’ll give the authorities a starting point.”

Gray tapped his fingers on the edge of the folder, thinking. “I’m going to a private dinner party at the White House tonight with Aaron.”

“No shit? Must be nice fucking the President’s personal aide,” Kaplan joked.

“I think Douglas invited me more to tweak his V.P.’s tail, than for any real desire to be nice to me.” And he didn’t have any problem with that. Anything that would upset the pious son-of-a-bitch was fine with him.

“I can tell you’re really upset about that.” Kaplan laughed.

“I’ll have Ruth make copies of the files when I’m done reading them. I want you and Tina to go over them as well. The three of us need to be on top of this thing from the very beginning. The police and the Bureau will be coming at it from a different angle. Their hands are tied concerning certain things, while we have a little bit more freedom.”

“Gotcha.” Silence reigned over the phone line for a second.

“So you ask Tina out yet?”

“You’re the one who said not to mix business with pleasure.” Kaplan sounded irritated.

Gray grinned. “Now that’s just my own personal rule. I don’t care what you all do.”

“Fuck off. Did you and golden boy have fun last night?” Looked like Kaplan wanted to try to take the spotlight off his insecurities.

Remembering the fun they’d had at the Capitals game the night before, he chuckled.

“Yes, we did. I took him to a hockey game, and then we went out dancing.”

“You dancing? I’d pay to see that.”

“Get back to work, man, though I have to ask. What the hell are you doing here on a Saturday? Don’t you have anything better to do with your weekends?”

Kaplan snorted. “Hey pot, meet kettle. I had a report to write up for one of my other cases. I was finishing it when you got here. I plan on heading out and doing some hiking in Rock Creek Park.”

“I haven’t been there in ages. Maybe I can convince Aaron to go out with me for a hike and a picnic.” He thought for a second. “Have a good weekend, and I’ll see you on Monday.”

“You too, boss.”

He hit the end button and settled back in his chair, studying the folders in front of him.

Reluctance to read what was in them hit him. He started to push to his feet, but stopped himself and dropped back down. Avoiding unpleasant things was yet another issue he’d been dealing with during his recovery. He’d run away from so many problems because he didn’t want to face them, which was why he had ended up at West Point instead of the Naval Academy.

Shuffling through the files, he set the photographs to the side. Those would be the last things he looked at. From what Bobby told him, the crime scene photos would be rough going.

Flipping open the first case file, he sipped his coffee and read, reminding himself every few seconds that the men who had done these crimes were dead. They couldn’t hurt anyone ever again, but the knowledge that there were more like them out in society set his teeth on edge. Also, knowing one of the bastards resided in Washington, D.C. and was killing innocent men made his blood boil.

Gray read through all the reports, highlighting information he thought would be important to their case. He stood, stretched, and made a cup of tea before starting in on the photographs.

Bobby had been right. The deaths had been gruesome with throats torn out and blood all over the place. Death had been violent and terrible for the victims. He never got used to the horrible things humans did to each other.

Stuffing the pictures back in their folders, he left a note on the whole pile for Ruth to make copies and get them to Kaplan and Tina. He checked his watch and called Aaron as he headed out of the office to his car.

“Hey, stud,” Aaron answered.

He laughed and lit a cigarette. “Hey yourself, honey. I was just making sure we’re still good for me picking you up and taking you home to change before the dinner.”

“Yeah. I’ve got everything organised and ready, so Rick won’t mind if I leave.”

“Great. I’m going to grab some clothes from my place, play with the pups for a little while, then I’ll be outside the gates to pick you up in two hours. That work for you?”

“I’ll be waiting.”

He hung up and climbed into his car. The next two hours had better speed by because he couldn’t wait to hold Aaron in his arms again.

Aaron slipped into the car and Gray didn’t give him a chance to say anything. He slid his hand around the back of Aaron’s head and drew their lips together. He nibbled along ANARCHY IN BLOOD

Aaron’s bottom lip, his tongue diving in when Aaron gasped. Aaron gripped Gray’s upper arms tightly, allowing him to take control and demand whatever he wanted from him.

A honking horn finally broke them apart, and Aaron slumped in his seat, panting. Gray adjusted his erection before putting the car in drive and entering the flow of traffic.

“Shit, will you be greeting me like that every time you pick me up from work?”

Gray shot a wink over at Aaron. “It certainly has possibilities, doesn’t it? How much time do we have before we have to be back?”

“Two hours or so. Why?”

“Just wondering how much time I have to melt you into a puddle of happy goo.”

Aaron’s eyes widened. “Oh, I think we can be a little late.”

Shaking his head, Gray pointed out, “One doesn’t keep the President waiting, not even his personal aide.”

“If I let Rick know why we’re late, he’ll understand.”

“Oh no. You’re not discussing our sex life with him. I don’t care that you’ve known him for years or that he’s privy to some of the most classified secrets in the government. He doesn’t need to know about what we do in bed.” Gray pinned Aaron with a sharp glance and reached for his cigarettes. “I don’t kiss and tell.”

“Gotcha. No kissing and telling.” Aaron wiggled his eyebrows. “Not even any of the juicy parts that might make him jealous.”

They made small talk as they drove to Aaron’s apartment. After parking, Gray grabbed a garment bag out of the back seat and motioned for Aaron to head upstairs.

Aaron unlocked the door. They were barely inside when Gray’s control broke and he dropped his bag to the floor before reaching for Aaron. He grabbed his lover by the arms, whirling him around so his back hit the door.

“Stay,” he ordered and dropped to his knees.

It didn’t take him long to get Aaron’s pants open and his cock bare to his gaze. Gray licked his lips, eager to learn how Aaron tasted. He’d never been interested in sucking a guy’s cock which might sound weird for a gay guy, but it just wasn’t something he enjoyed.

Yet the need to feel Aaron’s dick in his mouth, and Aaron’s salty bitterness on his tongue overwhelmed him. He wrapped his hand around the base of the hard flesh and leant forward.

“Gray?” Aaron sounded unsure.

“Don’t worry, honey. This is where I melt you into a happy pile of satisfied man.”

With a wink, he slipped his lips around the bulbous head of Aaron’s cock and lapped up some of the pre-cum pooling in the slit.

“Oh God.” The back of Aaron’s head hit the door.

He teased Aaron, taking his length in as far as he could before applying suction as he pulled off. Aaron’s body trembled under Gray’s hands as he fought the urge to move. When he thought he was ready, he tapped Aaron’s side, letting him know he could move.

Gray closed his eyes as Aaron’s fingers caressed his head and held him in place. He relaxed, gave over control, and let Aaron fuck his mouth. He slid his own hand down to fondle Aaron’s balls.

Aaron moaned as he thrust in and out of Gray’s mouth. Remembering something one of his old lovers had done to him, Gray slid his finger inside along with Aaron’s prick, getting it wet with saliva. When he decided it was slick enough, he moved it to Aaron’s hole and on his next retreat, Gray plunged his finger in.

“Oh my fucking God,” Aaron shouted.

Just that one touch and Aaron shot cum down Gray’s throat, flooding his mouth with hot sticky liquid. Gray kept sucking until Aaron’s cock went soft. After licking him clean, he eased back on his heels and allowed Aaron to sink to the floor in front of him.

He batted away Aaron’s hands as the younger man reached for his belt.

“But you haven’t come yet,” Aaron protested.

“No, but I like the anticipation of having you all to myself tonight when we get back to my place. I’m fine with waiting.” He struggled to his feet and held his hand out to help Aaron to his.

He wrapped his arm around Aaron’s waist, helping the wobbly guy down the hall to the bathroom. It was going to be one hell of a night.

He licked at the small slit he’d made to the base of Craig’s cock.

The sweet blood coated his tongue, making him feel stronger than ever. “Fuck, you taste good.”

Tied securely to the bed, Craig barely issued a protest through the gag strapped around his head. After sneaking to his pleasure hole the previous evening, he’d been able to take his time with his youngest lover. He already had feelers out for more, younger boys to play with.

To bring the Knights to their peak, he knew his former playmates were getting too old.

Young flesh brought him that much closer to God. If he were to lead the country into a new era of sexual and religious fulfilment, he’d need God’s favour. The only way to obtain that would be through the flesh of innocents.

At the ripe old age of eighteen, Craig was past his prime. Too bad. The boy had been an excellent playmate while it had lasted. Unlike the stupid assholes in New York, he knew how to control himself. It only took a small shot of the mind-altering wine to have the desired effect. Craving blood didn’t come naturally to him, but after a couple of sips from the bottle, his mouth watered at the mere thought of the sweet, thick fluid.

He pulled his mouth away from the cut and looked at his beautiful boy. Craig’s body was littered with short slashes, each of them providing moments of joy. He knew he’d have to finish Craig off and dispose of the body but he simply needed a few more hours of play and prayer.

Soon he would be in the position to change the direction of the United States government. He would bring the Knights of Paiderastia out of the darkness and into the light.

True to his word, Rick had smoothed the way for Gray’s entrance into the White House.

“So good to see you again, Gray,” Rick greeted Aaron’s date.

Aaron glanced around the Yellow Oval Room. He spotted Senator Nathan Griggs and his wife, Jillian talking to Cameron by the Truman Balcony doors. “Broomfield’s not here yet?”

Rick shook his head. “He sent a message saying he’d be late, but would make it in time for dinner.”

“Figures.” Aaron rolled his eyes and shook his head. “Why does everything turn into a power play with him?”

Rick laughed. “He’s a politician. I think it’s something we’re born with.”

Gray’s hand landed on the small of Aaron’s back. “Can I get you something to drink?”

What Aaron wanted and what he ended up asking for were two different things.

“Something diet would be fine.”

“I’m sure it would be, but it isn’t what you truly want. Now, what can I get you?” Gray asked.

“Would it bother you if I had a white wine?”

“No.” Gray brushed his lips over Aaron’s. “But don’t be surprised if I kiss you a little more often this evening.”

Aaron smiled. The taste of wine on Aaron’s tongue would likely have the same effect that nicotine on Gray’s tongue had. “In that case, bring me two.”

Gray chuckled and strode towards the small bar set up. Aaron watched him leave, a goofy grin on his face.

“You really like him,” Rick observed.

“More than I ever thought possible. Every second with that man is a joy.” God, did he sound sappy or what?

“I’m happy for you. By the way, as long as he doesn’t announce it, tell Gray he’s free to smoke on the balcony. I put a small ashtray out there for him earlier.”

The White House was smoke free, so Rick’s thoughtfulness was duly noted. “Thank you.”

“So, before Broomfield gets here, do you have any more news for me?” Rick asked.

“The Vice President corrected me earlier when I purposely got Jeremy’s last name wrong. He definitely seemed to know who he was,” Aaron answered, taking the glass of wine from Gray. “Thanks.”

Rick nodded. He glanced towards the small group standing on the other side of the room. “Cam and I came out to Nathan and Jillian earlier.”

Aaron was shocked. “Are you kidding me?”

Rick shrugged. “Nathan’s been a friend for a very long time so he’s suspected. I guess you could say I just made it official.”

“And Jillian?” Gray asked.

“I trust her. Nathan’s never been an angel and Jillian knows it, but she’s never given anyone even a hint of his extracurricular activities,” Rick explained. “So, with that, I’m going to pull Cam away for a few moments before Daniel and Stella arrive.”

Aaron nodded, sliding an arm around Gray’s waist. As soon as Rick stepped away, Aaron brushed a kiss across Gray’s lips. “Rick said he put an ashtray out on the balcony.”

“Really?”

“Told you he liked you. Care if I join you?” Aaron asked.

“I insist on it. You keep drinking that wine, and I’ll get all nice and smoky for you.”

Aaron was further pleased to see Rick had ordered the shades drawn down, shielding the balcony from prying eyes. “Perfect.”
