The doors opened into a room Aaron had never seen before. “Wow. What is this place?”

“The Presidential Lounge,” Rick said, leading Aaron into the room. “Every President since Hoover has enjoyed this room.” Rick put his finger to his lips. “Shhh, it’s a secret.”

“I like secrets.” Aaron’s pants got wrapped around his ankles, almost tripping him.

Laughing, he stopped and kicked them off along with his shoes. Standing naked in the middle of the opulent room, complete with a sitting area, bar and huge bed, he twirled around. “Thank you for sharing this with me. It makes me feel special.”

Rick stopped Aaron’s revolving movement and walked him towards the bed. “You
are
special.”

Rick put the flask to Aaron’s lips, but Aaron really didn’t want anything in his mouth besides someone’s cock. He turned his head and thicker than normal red wine dripped down the side of his mouth onto his nice white dress shirt. “Oh crap. Gray’s gonna know I’ve been drinking now.”

“Don’t worry about Gray. You don’t ever have to answer to him again. From now on you’re mine.” Rick began licking the wine from Aaron’s cheek and neck, stopping to bite at Aaron’s neck.

“Won’t Cameron and Gray be mad at us?” Aaron’s head was swimming further down into a deep foggy hole. He heard the words come out of his mouth but didn’t know if he’d really said them.

“Gray’s nothing, and Cameron can be dealt with easily enough.” Rick put the flask to Aaron’s mouth once more. “Drink. Feel the power of the holy wine.”

“I don’t need it,” Aaron moaned. “I already feel the power.” He ground his erection against Rick’s thigh.

“What you feel is from a mere drop of this intoxicating wine. Soon we will be as one.

You will take your rightful place at my side.” Rick pushed Aaron onto the bed and crawled on top of him.

The press of Rick’s ass felt good against Aaron’s cock, and he sighed contentedly.

“Drink.”

Aaron opened his mouth to refuse the wine but caught a good amount on his tongue.

He sputtered to swallow without choking on the thick liquid. “You’re talking crazy, Rick. I thought you were going to make Nathan your Vice President?”

“I am,” Rick said, removing Aaron’s shirt. He leant down and licked a path up Aaron’s chest. “Your rightful place is in my bed, Son.”

Aaron found Rick’s statement funny. He started to laugh and shook his head. “My dad was an alcoholic loser, nothing like you.”

“Wrong,” Rick peppered kisses across Aaron’s chest. “The man you knew as your father was merely a pawn in a long-standing agreement between your mother’s family and mine. It is my superior blood that runs through your veins.”

Aaron started to laugh again, but the serious expression on Rick’s face stopped him cold. There was simply no way Rick could be his father. Aaron pushed at Rick’s shoulder in a playful manner. “Stop fucking around. You’re starting to freak me out.”

The colours in the room started to intensify as his skin began to prickle. His lust was diminishing by the second and another emotion was taking its place. Anger. With narrowed eyes at the man rubbing all over him, Aaron let out an animalistic growl. “Get your hands off me.”

Rick glanced up from his position at Aaron’s groin and smiled. “You’re starting to feel it, aren’t you? The power? The undeniable thirst?”

Aaron broke out into a sweat. “What’s happening to me?”

Rick stood from his position between Aaron’s legs and walked over to the bar. “It’s completely natural, believe me. The holy wine is meant to make us feel the bloodlust that will bring us to our full potential.”

As Aaron watched, Rick removed a sealed bag from the refrigerator and placed it into the microwave. “What is that?”

Rick glanced over his shoulder and smiled. “What you crave.” He opened the microwave door and pulled the bag out. After snipping off the end with a sharp-looking pair of scissors, Rick poured the dark red liquid into a glass.

The smell hit Aaron first. Rick had been right. Aaron rose from the bed and stalked towards the sweet-smelling… “Is that blood?”

Rick chuckled. “Of course. My intention was to bring you over to my way of thinking in small increments, but after that fantastic display of manhood out on the lawn, I could hardly resist moving my schedule up by a few weeks. Today is the day I’ve dreamt of since the day you were born. Pity I don’t have a fresh boy for you to drain, but soon, I promise.”

With his hands shaking, Aaron reached for the glass of blood. His mind was no longer concerned with what he was about to drink, his body acted independently seeking the only thing that would satisfy his hunger.

Aaron kept his eyes on Rick as he gulped the warm thick liquid. The blood only fuelled his hunger. “More,” he demanded throwing his empty glass to the carpeted floor with a thud.

“Relax,” Rick said, holding his hands up. “There’ll be more, but first why don’t we go back to bed?”

A rage like he’d never known overtook Aaron at the placating answer from Rick. He lunged, wrapping his hands around Rick’s neck. “You did this to me, now feed me!” he screamed while using every ounce of his strength to choke the President.

Rick was scrambling, trying to pry Aaron’s hands from around his throat. “In the fridge,” he gasped.

Aaron’s gaze zeroed in on the mini-fridge behind the bar. He released the squirming body in his hands and strode towards the source of his current lust. He flung open the small door and grabbed the packets of blood, tearing it open with his teeth. The cold shocked his body at first, but the more he drank the less it mattered what temperature the blood was.

“I’m sorry, Son.”

Aaron started to turn towards the words when something slammed into the side of his head. Knocked off his feet, Aaron scrambled to gather the packets of blood, unconcerned with his own blood that ran down his neck.

Blinking to dispel the spots of flashing colour, Aaron shook his head and stared up at Rick. The man looked…different…wavy. “Are you going to kill me?”

Rick smiled. “No. You’re going to be reborn.”

Chapter Ten

He placed Aaron’s nude body on the white satin sheets and sat on the edge of the bed.

“Silly me. I should’ve known your mind and body wouldn’t be ready for a pure taste of the holy wine.”

Brushing the wisps of blond hair from Aaron’s face and neck, he bent down and began licking the blood from his son’s wound. Even unconscious, Aaron’s inner voice spoke to him.

“I know you don’t understand right now, but you will.”

Why?
Aaron seemed to ask from somewhere in the depths of his darkness.

Rick crossed the room and prepared a warm wet washcloth. Returning to his son’s side, he began to systematically clean Aaron’s body in preparation for the gown of the House of Douglas. It was the same gown he’d worn the first time his father had taken him to his bed.

“Many, many years ago our ancestors came to this country, poor but with one positive attribute on their side. They were Knights of Paiderastia, a brotherhood so secret your great, great, great grandfather had to search for years before he was able to reconnect with his like-minded brothers. And not just Knights, you were born into the strongest family of Knights.

That, my dear boy, was the beginning of the re-emergence of the House of Dracul. Although it pained them greatly, the elders were right to change the family name to Douglas.

He laughed and shook his head. “Can you imagine the American people electing a President with the surname Dracul? No, it simply wasn’t possible, so although our name had to change, our mission never wavered. If it weren’t for the financial backing and power of the conservatives of this nation, we would have had everything we desired when I was elected.

But they refused to let me choose my own running mate, instead sticking me with that religious pig, Broomfield.”

He tossed the washcloth on the table and crossed to the ornately carved armoire.

Opening the double doors, he removed the short, white silk sheath and draped it over his arm before opening the large humidor passed down from generation to generation. Silk ties in hand, he returned to the bedside and began to dress Aaron.

Sheath in place, he stared down at the serene beauty of his son in the holy garment. The crest of the Knights of Paiderastia embroidered alongside the Dracul family crest. “You take my breath away.”

Silk ties in hand, he began lovingly tying Aaron’s hands to the headboard. “These, too, were used on me as a boy. I know you’re coming to this later in life, but that doesn’t mean I desire you any less. I simply had to be sure you would trust me above all others before I brought you to my bed.”

Aaron’s head moved back and forth on the pillow as he began to wake.

With his son’s wrists tied, he went to work on his ankles. With Aaron secured, he strode to the bar to warm another packet of the blood he knew Aaron would crave once fully awake.

After pouring the blood into a glass, he added a few drops of a nice sedative. “Can’t have you thrashing about while I entertain our guests upstairs. Although I’m sure Nathan will be down to visit you. I believe he’s been as anxious as I have been to feel your nude body. But I am first, remember that. I alone have the power to initiate you into the Knights.

Usually men of our House are virgins when they’re first taken by their fathers, but we both know that is not the case with you. Still, I’m hoping you’ll act the part of the scared boy for my own personal amusement.”

He cocked his head to the side and grinned. “Will you call me Daddy when you come?”

His grin grew to a full smile. “Yes, I would like that.”

He plucked a straw from the container on the bar and stuck it into the glass of blood.

“Here. Look what Daddy made for you.”

He placed the straw at Aaron’s lips. Like an infant searching for its mother’s tit for the first time, Aaron’s mouth closed around the straw and began draining the glass.

“So you’re awake. I had a feeling you might be. Open your eyes.”

Aaron’s eyes remained tightly closed as he finished the contents of the glass.

“Are you going to be stubborn?” He smoothed a hand down Aaron’s body, feeling the hard muscles under the silk sheath. “Please don’t be angry with me. I’ve done all of this for you. Just like you’ll do it for your son someday.”

He sighed when Aaron still didn’t react. “Very well. I’ll leave you here to think about all the joyous occasions ahead.”

Standing, he leant over and placed a soft kiss on Aaron’s lips. “I’ll be back later. I must call the other Officers. Our first union must be witnessed, but after that, I’ll have you all to myself for our honeymoon period.”

Gray slammed his car into park and bolted, not caring if he left the door open or not.

He had to get to Aaron. Something was wrong and his gut wasn’t screaming just because of the strange phone call he’d gotten from his lover. He hoped Rick would be able to find Aaron and bring him inside before he did something crazy.

He raced up to the security gate and tried to get through. Two guards grabbed him.

“Wait a minute, sir. Where do you think you’re going?”

“I have to see Aaron Baker, the President’s personal assistant. I’m his boyfriend.”

One of the guards shook his head. “I don’t care if you’re the President himself, I have to make sure you’re on the list. What’s your name?”

Fuck.
There wasn’t any way he could get in. His name had to be on the black list or something like that.

“I’m Grayson Mills.” He broke free from the guard’s grip and tugged out his wallet, handing his driver’s license over to them. “If you can’t get a hold of Mr. Baker, call Cameron James, the Chief of Staff. He’ll clear me.”

Taking his wallet, the guard just raised his eyebrows, but didn’t say anything more as he walked to the gatehouse. The other guard crossed his arms and stared Gray down. Gray paced in front of the gate, hands clenched tight. All of this was taking time and he wasn’t sure Aaron had any time left.
Shit.
Why did he think Aaron was in danger? It could have been just that Aaron was drunk.

But Aaron didn’t drink much and he wasn’t answering his phone. Rick had promised to go out and look for him. Wouldn’t he have called to let Gray know Aaron was fine?

“Okay, Mr. Mills. Mr. James has cleared you through. He’ll meet you at the door.”

Nodding his thanks, Gray snatched his wallet out of the guy’s hand and ran up the walk to where he saw Cameron standing in the doorway. The Chief of Staff stared at Gray as he barrelled through the door.

“Where’s Aaron?”

Something flickered in Cameron’s eyes, but disappeared before Gray could name it.

“I don’t know. He slipped out into the Rose Garden to call you, and then he never came back. I take it you didn’t pick him up, huh?”

Again the tone of Cameron’s voice grated on Gray’s nerves.

“No, I didn’t. I called Rick and asked him to look for Aaron.”

Cameron led the way to the study off the Oval Office where Nathan Griggs sat, glass in hand, reading a newspaper.

“Nathan, have you seen Aaron or Rick?”

The Senate Majority leader looked up, his eyes widening at the sight of Gray. “No, I haven’t seen either of them since Aaron stepped out to call you.”

Gray dashed out into the Rose Garden. Where the hell was Aaron? It wasn’t like his lover to just leave without telling him. He searched through the flower beds and behind trees. Nothing. Stopping for a moment, he ran his hands through his hair and tried to think.

Where would Aaron go? He strolled over to the agents standing on the veranda.
