Chapter Six

Her scream tore from her lips as Grey fucked her.
Sarah dug her fingers into his powerful shoulders as he continued
to pump his hips. She lay on the dresser in the room, naked, as he
stood over her.

She opened her eyes and found him watching her. His
stare intense and bordering on feral. He dipped his head, and she
moaned with pleasure as he took her nipple in his mouth, rolling it
between his teeth and nipping it lightly.

She flexed her muscles around him and got a growl in
return. He’d not said much since they’d gotten back to the room,
but she didn’t need words. His touch. His kisses. His cock. He
pulled back and gripped her hips, lifting her higher, so the angle
altered.

Shit!
Body thrumming with passion, she wasn’t
sure how much more she could take of this.

He took her hand and put it on her clit. She didn’t
need more instruction and worked it as he continued stroking deep
inside her. Her toes curled, and warmth began to spread throughout
her body.

“Come on my cock,” he ordered, voice deep with
passion. Her body complied even when she wasn’t sure she could.

She’d not finished when he shot his cum inside her.
Thick ropes filled her, and she turned her head to the side, lower
lip captured in her teeth as she moaned yet again. Without pulling
out, he lifted her and carried her over to their bed and placed her
on the mattress.

“I want your cock,” she said.

“You’re getting it.”

“No. In my mouth. I want to suck you, Grey.” God,
her nipples drew tight just thinking about him filling her mouth as
she worked his length. Her pussy clenched, and she jerked a bit
against him.

He pulled out, and she pointed to the bed.

He climbed on, and she crawled up between his spread
legs. His cock, still hard, jutted up from the nest of black hair.
She could see their combined juices on him, making him slick.
Dragging her tongue along her lips, she moved closer. He watched
her, his aquamarine gaze burning into her. She focused on the cock
before her.

Flicking out her tongue, she lapped up the length
before reaching the crown. Their mixed flavors coated her taste
buds. His was an addictive taste she’d never get enough of. Again
and again, she licked, focusing on his shaft, leaving the head
alone until she’d cleaned off everything else. Pushing up slightly,
she opened her mouth and took him in. Circling the large mushroom
head, she began bobbing her head, taking more and more of him until
he hit the back of her throat. Even then, she didn’t stop; she kept
going.

Playing with his sac, she ran her nails lightly
along it. His shudder was what she’d been after. She wanted him to
lose control. Wanted to feel his cum shooting into her. She’d
learned how to get what she wanted, and soon, her wish had come,
and she swallowed everything he released.

“My turn,” he said, turning her so her pussy covered
his face.

“We need to leave,” she said, trailing her hand down
his chest, his hair tickling her palm.

“Why, exactly?” His voice rolled off his tongue and
straight to her synapses, kicking them up, again, with the deep,
slow, unhurried drawl.

She curved closer to him, soaking up every moment
she could have with him. Nothing so fanciful in her mind, like a
happily ever after.
I don’t know why he would want me.
Her
thought wasn’t a self-deprecating one or because she didn’t think
she had anything to offer; she just wasn’t a believer in forevers.
Yet I’ve been married to him for nearly eleven years.

“You promised we would go to their party.” She
patted his torso, taking the time to appreciate the rippled muscles
beneath her fingertips. “I’ll meet you down there.”

“Meet me?” He looked down at her.

She rolled away and climbed off the bed. “Yes, meet
you. I’m capable of making my way down alone.” She needed some time
to regroup.

He rose up on his elbows, the white sheet a stark
difference to his tanned—and chiseled—torso. “How long?”

She arched a brow and turned away. “Don’t start.”
Sarah moaned as her body protested the slightest moment.

“Sore, baby?” His question rang softly in her
ear.

“Stop smirking.” She walked—more like shuffled—off
to her bag and dug out a clean outfit. “Go. Mingle.”

He robbed her of any breath with his kiss. Her legs
remained weak, even after he took a quick shower and left her
alone. She went and took her own shower, body relishing the heated
massage working its magic on her sore muscles.

She leisurely dried off with a large, fluffy towel
before dressing. Barefoot, she padded out on the balcony, phone in
hand, sat on a chaise, and waited for her call to be answered.

“Hello, Captain.”

She smirked, her strain instantly lessened.
“Captain.”

“Where are you?” Shea’s voice was soft and totally
unlike the person she portrayed in uniform—the no-nonsense Marine
Captain pilot.

“Malaysia.” She stared at her fingernails, short and
unpolished.

“You’re OCONUS? Where’d the Admiral take you this
time and how long are you there for?”

She closed her eyes. “I’m not with him.”

Shea hmmed. “Well, you go home to Georgia when you
have leave, so why is my best friend hanging in Maylasia? And why
am I not there soaking up the sun with you?”

“I’m”—she crossed her ankles—“not alone. I’m on
Tioman Island.”

“You’re not— Are you shittin’ me? Oh my God! Wait
one.” A door slammed, and silence descended. The sound of a drink
being opened hit her eardrums. “Okay, I’m ready now. I needed
liquid fortification for this. Fill me in.”

She rolled her eyes. “Remember the guy I mentioned,”
she began.

“You mean the one you’ve been pining over since we
got our first frock?”

Longer is more like it, but yes, we’re going to
go with that. But I digress.
“That’s the one.”

“I so need more deets than that. So, how did you
re-meet him, and what the hell did he do to get you to head off to
an island near Malaysia with him for however long you’re there
for?”

She opened her eyes and narrowed them. “What makes
you think I didn’t come here on my own?”

“Please,” she scoffed. “Do we need to revisit the
fact you go home? That’s it, no trips or anything of the sort.
Until this man. So, we’ve established he’s a rock star in bed. I’m
assuming he’s hot as fuck. And despite you saying you’re not alone,
you don’t usually pick men up while at a place.”

“I’m not sure how you get to these assumptions.”

“Because you were on a self-imposed drought for two
years. Two years!”

“You say it like that makes it all clear.”

“For me, it does, Mallery. For him to be the one you
break that with says everything to me. We’re around plenty of men.
You could have your pick, not to mention when you’re out
globetrotting, I’m sure you’re meeting some hot guys. You don’t
take them up on it. So, that brings us back to this guy. Who is
he?”

She pushed up from the lounge and went to the
railing. Leaning on the cool wood, she stared out over the
expansive grounds of the resort. “He’s my husband.”

Dead silence met her assertion. She drew the phone
away from her ear and checked to make sure the call hadn’t
dropped.

“Shea? You there?”

“Husband?”

“Yes.” Even if she wasn’t sure for how much longer
that was the case.

“I’m going to go out on a limb here and be the
bigger person over the fact you never told me you were married, or
the fact I’ve never met him. Have I?”

“I haven’t told anyone. Other than him, you’re the
only one who knows. Well, the preacher who married us.”

“Are you ashamed of him?”

She raked a hand through her hair. “No, but I’m not
the right woman for him.”

“Not the right woman.” Shea spoke slowly as if Sarah
didn’t speak English, and she was trying to talk to her.
Enunciating each word.

Pacing the balcony, she filled her friend in on the
call she’d overheard and the fact she’d been after a divorce ever
since.

To her surprise, Shea laughed.

“What’s so funny?” Sarah posed the question.

“You, who are in such control, at all times, are
thrown by this man. And a man from your hometown. Hell, I think I
need to go there and check out the crop if this one has gotten to
you so much. You know you’re going to have to tell your
mother.”

She groaned. “Not wanting to do that in the least
amount. Can’t I go back through boot or something simple?”
Or
Recon training?

“Sounds like he wants to stay married. What’s wrong
with shacking up alongside a hot Navy SEAL?”

“You know how I feel about forevers, Shea.”

“He may be different.”

“Right, because I was just a whore he married on a
whim.”

“There’s the bitter and sarcastic bitch I was
missing. Ten years, Sarah. He’s not trying to marry someone else,
is he?”

“You don’t beat around the bush.”

“I’m too good of a friend to do that. If you wanted
sugar coating, you’d go to someone else. So, go enjoy your time
with him. Think about it, and I want to meet him. If you’re going
to stay married to him, I’d at least like to size him up before you
reach your twenty-year anniversary.”

“I’ll see what I can do about that.”

“You’d better. Don’t make me steal a chopper and
hunt your ass down.”

“Don’t do that. Because, then, we’d both be in jail,
and no one would bail us out.”

She laughed. “Why would you be in jail if I stole
the ride?”

“Because I’d be at your side when they came to
arrest you. We go down together.”

“When I see you again, I want to know why you didn’t
tell me you were married.” She cleared her throat. “I’ll talk to
you later, Sarah.” Shea was gone in the next instant.

Sarah smiled at her phone and pushed it inside her
pocket as she made her way to the door of their suite. Sandals on
her feet, she left and headed out. Following the sounds of a large
group, she found the people she sought.

“Ready?” one guy called out.

She paused and stared at Grey standing at a
makeshift home plate. He held a bat in a batting position.

“Let’s do this,” he replied.

Baseball. Leave it to the guys to turn anything into
a sport. She shook her head as she watched them play with water
balloons. Grey had his hair pulled back, and as she stared at him,
she saw the boyish side of him she didn’t normally see. When that
ended, they switched to a real baseball game.

He broke one and took off running for first then
continued onto second. She hadn’t any clue of the rules, but
whatever they were, the guys seemed content with them. She walked
to an open chair and sat, stretching out her legs.

Her eyes were drawn back to the man on second. He
watched her. His eyes may have covered by sunglasses, but she had
no doubt he was focused on her. Her body tingled in a way that only
his gaze could create in her.

She sat there while he went on to third then ran
home. After slapping high fives with some, he hurried her side and
dipped his head for a kiss.

“How are you?”

“Trying to figure out your rules. How did you know
how far you hit it? I mean, it was a water balloon.” She tapped his
wet skin with her index finger.

“You just know.” He stole another kiss. “But, now,
it’s a real game.”

“Go play. I’ll just sit here and stare at the hot,
shirtless men.”

“That’s fine, as long as that is me.”

She pointed behind him. “I think you’re up on
defense.”

He grinned, and her heart melted just a bit more.
After running his hand along her cheek, he ran to the outfield,
swiping a glove on his way.

She passed the afternoon out there, watching them
playing games and laughing. She spoke to a few of the other women
but, for the most part, sat off to the side, enjoying the sun and
taking in Grey playing. The resort staff brought out grills and
prepared food for them.

Sarah opened her eyes when a shadow blocked out the
decreasing light of day. She found Grey standing there, holding two
plates in his hand. “Hungry?”

“Thanks.” She took one and moved her legs so he
could join her on the lounge.

The burger looked delicious and was cut in half as
she was used to doing.

“I pay attention, Sarah,” he said.

Yeah, she was getting that. She popped a chip in her
mouth and reclined back, angling her head to stare out over the
water. The sun made it sparkle like diamonds had been scattered all
along the surface.

“You okay?”

“Yes,” she said. “I’m fine.” She returned her
attention to him. “You seemed to be having a lot of fun out
there.”

“I did. Didn’t used to like baseball, but one of the
guys I work with does, and he got me into the game.”

At the mention of the guys he worked with, she
sobered. Grey shook his head.

“Ten years, Sarah. Let it go, please.”

“I didn’t say anything,” she protested.

“You didn’t have to. Your face is extremely
expressive.” A slight pause. “If you know what to look for.”

“Which you do, I suppose,” she drolled.

“Yes.” He ate his burger. “I have lined up to go out
on a sailboat on Friday, and if there’s anything else you want to
do, let me know. Like a massage or anything.”

“You want to pay for someone to rub me down?” She
sucked ketchup off her thumb, loving how his eyes darkened. “I’d
rather have you do it.”

“Sarah,” he rumbled.

She blinked but didn’t drop his gaze. “I’m just
saying it’s a way to save money. But,” she said, “if you would
prefer to pay for it, so be it.”

“Fuck that.”

She smirked. “Okay. So, that’s Friday; what about
between then and now?”

His eyes flashed. “I’m keeping you to myself.”
