Dear Reader,
Brian and Joy’s story has been floating around in my brain ever since I met the Peterson and Lovell families while writing my second Love Inspired novel. This was a book about paths. I wanted to show how two people could start out on the same path, be raised nearly side by side, need to walk a different path and yet still be perfect for one another. The Lord has plans and a path He’s chosen for each of us to take through this world. His plan in
Joy in His Heart
was that these two very different people, regardless of their rocky pasts, were meant to be together. I truly believe that though the Lord is patient, He will get our attention if we aren’t following His direction. He gave Brian and Joy twelve years before literally knocking them out of the sky so they’d have to talk to each other and follow the path He’d chosen for them.
We must always remember it’s supposed to be His plan. Give your life into His hands, and you’ll know you’re walking the right path.
