“Thank you.”

He kissed the palm of her hand.

“You never have to thank me for giving you
pleasure, mate. It is my duty and my pleasure to fuck you with my
talented mouth, my dexterous fingers, and my
extremely
large
cock.”

She laughed at his unexpected comment and he
smiled, enjoying her laughter. He was as big as any other male in
his pack and was supremely confident he could pleasure his mate. He
would let her rest then love her again, just in case she forgot
just how good he was in bed. He planned on reminding her several
times a day.

Chapter 6

When she woke up from her nap, Delia found
herself sprawled across her mate, half covering him. Her head
rested on his chest and he stroked her naked back. She loved the
feel of his hand as he rubbed her back. Occasionally his hand moved
lower, gently squeezing her bottom. His thigh was nestled
comfortably between her legs, and she felt his hardening cock on
her outer thigh.

“I don’t want to let you out of our bed,
Delia, but we have to get your clothes. The sooner you end ties
with him, the better.” Delia tensed, her fear instant. She pressed
her head further into his shoulder.

“I really don’t want to see him again.
Ever.”

“I don’t want any reminders of your past,
either. If you are not opposed to it, how about if we buy
everything new?” Surprised, she nodded then frowned.

“It would be too expensive.” Nicolai shook
his head and chuckled.

“Money is no object, Little One. Buy whatever
you need.”

They showered and dressed. She wore the dress
from the night before, with a pair of his boxers underneath. She
enjoyed shopping with him. Delia purchased dresses, jeans, pants,
shorts, skirts, blouses, tee shirts, underwear and several pairs of
shoes. Nicolai doted on her and carried every package, enjoying the
ability to provide for his mate. Once the trunk and back seat were
full, they decided to have dinner before returning home.

Walking hand in hand, they headed to Billy
Rae’s. Wrapped up in each other, neither noticed the wolf standing
in the shadows, eyes narrowed in hatred. Shortly after they entered
Billy Rae’s, the male entered as well.

Delia and Nicolai enjoyed their dinner at
Billy Rae’s. Halfway through dessert, two of her female Lost Souls
pack mates came up to the table. They were surprised to see Delia
happy and smiling. Even more so, they noted the way her male smiled
lovingly at his mate. The females approached the table with great
care, fearing he might strike out at them for interrupting his meal
with his mate.

Nicolai greeted them warmly and invited them
to join their table. Speechless, they sat down on either side of
Delia.

“Sue Ann, Mila, this is Nicolai, my mate,”
Delia introduced him proudly.

“I’m guessing you want to check up on my
mate. Why don’t you order dessert and spend some time together?”
Turning to Delia, “I will finish my dessert in the back. I need to
make a few calls anyway. You will be safe here. Do not leave Billy
Rae’s without me. If you need me, I will be in the office. You can
ask any of the waitresses and they will bring you to me. Why don’t
you invite your friends for a visit tomorrow? They can keep you
company while I run a few errands.” She nodded, grateful for the
chance to visit with her friends. She kissed him when he leaned
over and watched him walk to the back of the restaurant.

“You smell of him. He forced you?” Delia
turned back to her friends and shook her head. Leaning towards
them, she spoke softly.

“I
wanted
him to touch me, practically
begged him. He was gentle and loving. He gave me an orgasm. It was
so incredible. I never knew sex could be like that. I
enjoy
it.”

“He
didn’t
hurt you?”

“No. In fact, last night he didn’t even want
me to….He gave me pleasure and expected nothing in return. We
didn’t have sex until this morning, only because I wanted to.” Her
friends were speechless.

“Then today he took me shopping. Bought me so
many clothes! More clothing than I’ve ever had before in my
life
!” Her friends exchanged worried glances.

“And what will he expect in return?”

“Nothing. He wants to provide for me. It
makes him happy.”

“Are you sure? Has he given you to the Alpha
yet?”

Delia paled. Suddenly she was uncertain. So
far this pack had been different. But males were males. She was
sure the Alpha would demand sex from his females, as Murdock had.
She knew things had been too good to be true. There was
always
a price to pay. Unable to finish her dessert, Delia
made plans to see her friends the next day and asked a waitress to
take her to Nicolai.

Delia’s former male sat at the table, still
angry at Delia and Nicolai. He watched as the soldier doted on his
female, spoke kindly to her, made her laugh. Delia was relaxed
instead of tense with fear. Her mate left her with her friends and
shortly after, she went after him. She couldn’t stand to be apart
from him? His jealousy fueled his anger and he gripped his glass,
crushing it into tiny pieces. Shards of glass sliced into his
fingers and palm. Hastily, he wrapped it in a napkin and left. Once
outside, he took out his cell phone and called Theo. They arranged
to meet across the street from Nicolai’s house.

Nicolai glanced up and smiled when his mate
entered the small office. She stood by the door, and he waved her
in. She closed the door and waited for him to finish his call. He
spoke a few words then hung up.

“That was the Alpha. He wishes to see us
tomorrow evening.”

Delia held her breath, fear returning. She
knew it was too good to be true, that she would be free of pain and
humiliation.

“What’s the matter, Little One?”

Concerned at the suddenly intense scent of
pain, Nicolai rose and pulled his mate into his arms. She cried
softly.

“I don’t want him to hurt me when he has sex
with me.”

“WHAT?”

“The Alpha. That’s why you are taking me
there tomorrow, isn’t it? He is asking for his turn with me.”

Nicolai stared at his mate in horror. He
cursed, wishing he could have killed Murdock himself.

“No male will
ever
touch you but me. I
will
kill
anyone that does. Understand?” She nodded, wiping
away her tears.

“Murdock was a real bastard. If Zane hadn’t
already killed him, I’d do it myself. Lucien isn’t like him at all.
He is honorable. He would never demand to touch you. Besides that,
he loves his mate. And you don’t know Lanie. If he even
thought
of touching another, she would probably castrate
him.”

“But she’s a human. He’s much stronger than
she is.” Nicolai chuckled.

“If I’ve learned anything, it’s to
never
underestimate a female, especially one deeply in love.
It’s not really an issue because mated males find the touch of
another repulsive. You will begin to feel that way yourself. Know
this, Little One, I will
never
touch another female.
You
are the only one I want. You’re the
only one
that
can satisfy me.”

Believing him, her fear abated.

“Then why does he want to see us?”

“Actually, I think that Lanie wants us to
join them for dinner. I guess she wants to make sure you’re happy
and that I am spoiling you enough. Lucien is a good Alpha, but he
would rather be fucking his mate than sharing a meal with us.”
Satisfied he had eased her worries, he kissed her and took her
home.

Nicolai parked their car on the street in
front of their home and got out. He walked around to Delia’s side
and opened the door for her. Delia smiled, still unaccustomed to
being treated as a lady.

Nicolai escorted her to their front door and
let her in.

“I’ll start unloading the car. Why don’t you
get the lights?” Delia nodded at the suggestion and went inside.
Nicolai returned to the car, opening the trunk with the car remote.
He pocketed the remote and began gathering her packages.

Arms full, he walked towards his home. He
took a few steps and caught the scents of three unfamiliar wolves.
He dropped the packages and spun around to face three Lost Souls
wolves. He recognized Delia’s male and growled a warning. The three
former Lost Souls wolves growled low in response, moved to surround
him, then attacked.

Theo jumped on Nicolai’s back, pushing him
slightly forward as Delia’s male swung his fist. He connected with
Nicolai’s jaw the same time Jacob punched Nicolai in his side.

Nicolai grunted from the pain in his side and
jaw. He growled and snapped his head backward, breaking the nose of
the wolf on his back.

Theo saw stars as the back of Nicolai’s head
connected with his face. He heard a crunch as his nose broke and
felt sticky wetness on his face. He released Nicolai, dropping on
the ground behind him. He held his nose, momentarily dazed,
growling in pain.

Nicolai’s wolf eyes flashed as he swung at
Delia’s male. His claws extended and he slashed deep into the
male’s chest.

“Ahh!” he screamed in pain, clutching his
chest as tiny rivers of blood ran down his shirt. Before he could
blink, Nicolai spun around and leaped on Jacob. They fell to the
ground and Nicolai punched him several times in the face and chest
before slicing his neck with a sharp claw. Blood spurted out of the
severed jugular and Jacob clasped his neck in a futile attempt to
stem the blood flow. Knowing the wolf would be dead in minutes
since he severed his jugular, Nicolai rose and turned to Theo.

Theo’s shock wore off and he shifted into his
wolf. He growled loudly, baring his fangs. As Nicolai turned, he
pounced, jaw clamping tightly onto Nicolai’s left arm. The momentum
knocked Nicolai onto his back, Theo-wolf still clamped securely on
his forearm. Nicolai growled and slashed Theo-wolf’s eyes. Blinded,
his eyes stinging with pain, Theo-wolf released Nicolai’s arm as he
struggled to stand. At once, Nicolai grabbed his jaw with his left
hand, the fur on the top of his head with his right hand and
twisted in a clock wise motion. The loud snap of Theo-wolf’s neck
breaking echoed loudly in the silent night. His body went limp and
Nicolai tossed it aside as he stood.

Nicolai turned, seeking Delia’s male, elated
he finally had a chance to punish him for the years of pain he
inflicted on Delia. He howled in frustration. Delia’s male was
gone.

Hearing his howl, Delia rushed outside. She
saw Nicolai, covered in blood, howling. On the ground near him were
Jacob and Theo, two of her Lost Souls pack mates. The stench of
death was thick in the air. She rushed to Nicolai’s side.

“Nicolai?”

“I’m fine, Little One. Merely scratches.
Let’s go inside, you don’t need to see this.” Nicolai took Delia’s
hand and led her into the house. He closed the door softly behind
them and reached for his cell phone. Nicolai called Lucien,
informing him about the Lost Souls’ wolves attack.

Lucien frowned as he listened to Nicolai
describe his attack by former Lost Souls werewolves. They had been
foolish to attack his soldier and paid for it with their lives. He
would send Kane and Harley to dispose of their bodies.

“I’ll have Zane hunt and kill Delia’s
male.”

“Lucien, please let me handle this. He
deserves to die by my hand.”

Understanding Nicolai’s need to kill the
male, he agreed to let him handle it.

Satisfied he would be the one to kill Delia’s
male, he hung up and allowed Delia to tend to his wounds. The cut
on his lip had already begun to heal. She took off his bloody
shirt, searching him for wounds. She found a large bruise on his
side. Aside from his arm, there were no wounds on the rest of his
body. She cleaned the deep bite marks on his forearm and applied
bandages to the area. By morning, they should be completely
healed.

Delia wiped away a tear. Seeing Nicolai’s
shirt covered in blood had terrified her. She was relieved that
most of the blood on his shirt belonged to the dead wolves and her
former mate.

Nicolai held her face, wiped away her tears
with his thumbs.

“Don’t waste your tears on me, Little One.
I’m fine,” he said softly.

She nodded but the tears kept flowing.
Nicolai pulled her gently against his chest and stroked her
hair.

“You forget I’m a soldier. I could have
killed those three wolves in my sleep. It was hardly a fair fight.
They should have brought more wolves.”

“Nicolai! You could have been....” She
refused to say it.

“There was never any danger of that, Little
One.”

He continued to hold her, stroking her hair
and back.

“He won’t come back here, Delia. Not unless
he’s suicidal.” He kissed the top of her head and continued, “I
will hunt him down and kill him Delia. He attacked me and his life
is now forfeit.

“I still have to bring in your packages. I’d
better get started or it will take me all night,” Nicolai said with
a smile.

Tipping her head up, he leaned down and
kissed her. Her wolf eyes flashed and he scented her arousal.

“I’ll help you.”

Nicolai nodded. The sooner they finished, the
sooner he could fuck his mate.

Chapter 7

Having washed some of her new clothes
earlier, she sorted through and picked out a comfy pair of shorts
to wear when her friends came to visit. She decided to take the
sheets off the bed and wash them. She smiled as she thought about
how Nicolai had made love to her last night and again early that
morning. Currently he was out running some errands. He had ordered
some food from Billy Rae’s and it would be delivered around lunch
time.

The door bell rang and excitedly, she ran to
her front door. Just before opening it, she hesitated. What if it
was
him
? Nicolai had assured her
he
would not dare
return to their home. Cautiously, she peeked through the peep hole
and saw her friends. Feeling silly, she opened the door.
