Convinced she looked flawless as always
, Sylvia put away her compact, entered the hotel, and headed straight for the bar. The bar was rather empty because it was a week night and she found her client right away. She bristled when she saw another woman flirting with him. As a succubus she was not prone to jealousy, since men were only vessels that gave her the energy she needed to satiate her Hunger, but she couldn’t have this other woman shutting down her business for the evening. The boss would be most displeased if she lost the transaction with this client. More troubling to her than the prospect of upsetting her boss was the identity of the woman throwing herself at her prospective client. While she looked like an average good-looking young lady, Sylvia could tell she was not. She was a succubus too.

Chapter 2

Sylvia was well aware
that she wasn’t the only succubus in town. Boston was full of succubi, and their partners, the incubi. Lilith, the original succubus from which every other was created, had put into place a system to keep the peace among them. Each succubus was assigned a hunting territory, and the other succubi were welcome to pass through it, but they were not allowed to hunt outside of their own territories. The only exception to the rule was for the escorts. Succubi who were hired by a client were allowed to drain them on that occasion when in someone else’s territory. The system kept everyone fed and content, and kept the escort company doing brisk business. No one dared risk Lilith’s ire by ignoring her rules.

This
succubus was new in town, she was sure of it. She was also stealing away her client. Her eyes narrowed as she watched the new succubus giggling at something the client said while placing her palm against his chest. Sylvia knew that move well; she was going in to seal the deal and get this man to bed so she could feed from him. Time to intervene and reclaim what was hers.

Both the client and the new succubus looked up from their banter when they heard Sylvia’s stilettos clicking across the
polished floor towards them. The client gave her a panicked look before he tried to weasel his way out of the situation.

“Hi, Sylvia, this is
Elora,” he introduced her. “Elora, this is Sylvia, someone I work with.” Clearly he planned on ditching his date with Sylvia to hook up with this attractive young lady who had made it clear he wouldn’t have to pay to sleep with her.

“Hello,
Elora, so nice to meet you.” Her tone was friendly and warm but inside she was seething as she sized up her competition. Elora was dark haired and petite with a fuller figure than her own statuesque, willowy frame. Her plumpness was in all the right places to draw a man’s attention. There was something playful in her eyes, promises of a long night of unrestrained play in the bedroom. Despite the jagged scar above her right eye, Sylvia could begrudgingly see why men fell for the new succubus’ charms.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you as well,”
Elora responded with an equally warm smile. Sylvia knew that despite her friendliness, she was sizing her up too. This wasn’t just two women competing for the same man’s attention, this was two succubi looking to stake their claim on a feed. Both women instinctively knew what the other was without being told. Succubi and incubi could sense each other; it was part of what they were.

“I know we had plans for tonight,” the client began apologetically, “but could I just see you at work tomorrow?
I just met Elora and we’re having a great time, I’d love to get to know her better.” His eyes begged Sylvia not to expose his lies and it was all Sylvia could do to keep from snickering. What a fool, thinking he could pull one over on either her or Elora. Did he really think Elora would believe Sylvia was a co-worker, or that he just wanted to ‘get to know her better’ as he claimed? The man didn’t have a clue who he was dealing with.

“I was really looking forward to hanging out with you tonight,
so why don’t we all spend some time together?” Sylvia suggested brightly, as if she too was interested in getting to know Elora. She relished the slight tick of tension that passed across her client’s face when he realized she wasn’t going to go away as easily as he had hoped. Who did he think he was, dismissing her for a free lay? She would never let him have her services again, Lilith’s anger be damned. And who did the succubus think she was? Sylvia didn’t know who she was or where she came from, but she knew for a fact that the hotel they were in was within another succubus’ territory.

“That’d be great,”
Elora purred. She gave Sylvia a ‘game on’ look over the man’s shoulder.

“So, who wants
a drink?” the client asked the ladies awkwardly. It was clear he felt he was in over his head with this. He had hired an escort, met a foxy girl who seemed like she’d give it up for free, and now he couldn’t ditch the escort. It was not turning out as he had planned.

“I’d love a gin and tonic,” Sylvia replied sweetly.

“I’ll have another of the same,” Elora motioned to her empty glass already on the counter.

Sylvia smiled as the client ordered up another round of drinks. She could tell his plan
was rapidly changing. He was going to try to turn this snafu into a stroke of luck for himself. Visions of a threesome were dancing in his head now and he wanted to make that dream a reality. He probably figured if he liquored them both up enough he could have a wilder evening than he had originally hoped for with just one of them. Fat chance, Sylvia thought to herself. There would be no threesome with her, she didn’t work that way, but she was happy to let him hope for one and looked forward to bursting his bubble later.

Just as her drink arrived Sylvia’s cell phone rang with a call from the escort service. “Will you excuse me please?” She
excused herself from the bar and walked into the hotel lobby to answer it.

“You will not belie
ve what’s going on here,” she began without even greeting Lilith.

“I already know, in fact that’s why I’m calling,” her boss cut her off, “
He text the service a little while ago, cancelling you for the evening, saying he had met someone else. Of course we’re charging him for the evening anyway, but you can go now.”

“Do you know who the ‘someone else’
is?” Sylvia asked irritably.

“No, do you? Why does it matter? I thought you’d be happy about this. No tip of course, but you’ll still
get your cut even though he doesn’t require your services after all.”

“The other woman, Lilith, is one of us, one I don’t recognize.” Sylvia was careful not to mention the
word succubus but Lilith picked up what she was telling her immediately.

For once she was momentarily silenced, too stunned to reply right away. “I haven’t heard of anyone new in town,” she replied after a beat. “I want you to get her number and get out of there. We can recruit her for the service.”

“Can’t I just go now? My evening’s been wasted by that jerk and I don’t feel like playing recruiter for you tonight.”

“You’ll get her number or you’
ll sit there all night trying. Just get me those digits,” Lilith snapped, her steely demeanor recovered once again.

Without replying Sylvia
hung up. She was livid that her night had so quickly gone to hell. Instead of having another decent feed and earning her tip she was now Lilith’s errand girl. At least she’d get her pay for the job if not her tip.

She took a moment to compose herself and sauntered back into the bar
.

“I’m so sorry, that was work, I have to be going,” she apologized to the client.
Elora’s face lit up at the news until Sylvia turned to address her. “Elora, I’d love to get together sometime. Might I get your number?”

“Oh, I’m so busy right now, it’s hard for me to find a night to get out,” she answered cool
ly.

“What a shame. I was thinking we could go out for drinks with my friend Lilith. She’
d really like you,” Sylvia said pointedly as she tucked her cell phone back into her purse and prepared to leave. Dropping Lilith’s name had the effect she desired. It didn’t matter who the succubus was or where she was from. Everyone knew who Lilith was.

That does sound like a good time.” Elora pulled a little notebook and pen out of her purse and scribbled down her phone number as she spoke. “I’d love to get together with you and Lilith, I’m sure some time will free up for me soon.”

Sylvia took the paper and said her
goodbyes. Out in the cool night air she text Elora’s number back to the office. Let Lilith deal with the new succubus; she could sort her out. While the succubi of Boston ran into each other from time to time and were cordial to each other, none were what could be considered friends. They were solitary creatures by nature and friendship held little appeal for them. Sylvia had no intention of meeting up with Elora, and she knew she understood that and had no interest in a friendship either. Her invitation to join her and Lilith out for drinks was simply a ruse to get her number in front of the client. Sylvia decided to put Elora, and her ruined date, out of her mind.

She opted
to take the subway back to her apartment. Though the hour was late and the T wasn’t always a safe option for a young lady alone late at night she knew she had little to fear. Succubi were incredibly strong and she could easily overpower anyone who gave her any trouble. While her unexpected date had been an aborted effort, perhaps she could find a victim on her ride home.

As she paid her fare and waited on the platform for the next train to arrive, she spotted him. There, across the way, just getting off an arriving train was an Innocent.
Her breath caught in her throat as she watched him hurry away. He was somewhere in his thirties, with brown hair and a nice build. He hurried out of sight as Sylvia cursed her luck. The first Innocent she had seen in a long time, and there she was, on the wrong side of the platform. She considered racing up to the street level to see if she could find him but just then her train pulled up. She realized she had no idea which direction he was headed in anyway. By the time she got up to the street level he would probably be long gone.

With a sigh of defeat she entered the subway car and chose a seat near a well-groomed man in his fifties. He was well-dressed
with mid-grade energy. She offered him a sultry smile when he looked her way and he smiled back. The game was on. He was a far cry from an Innocent, but she figured after the night she just had, she could do worse than a second mid-grade feed.

~~~
Sylvia could tell he was an attentive lover. He put on a good show of drawing out the foreplay, obviously trying to impress her with his experience, but she knew it was time to move things along. She couldn’t feed from foreplay and she was weary of pretending the experience was pleasurable for her.
“I want you now,” she demanded as she threw him down on his back and mounted
him, “I can’t wait any longer. I need it now.”
He hissed with pleasure as she slid onto his stiff member
and enveloped all of him. She closed her eyes and tried to block out the man’s frantic moans beneath her as she rode him and fed. Waves of ecstasy washed over her as the man’s energy drained from him and pulsed into her. She felt so alive, so free, so powerful. He sensed her excitement, and thinking it was the lovemaking exciting her, pumped frantically beneath her, determined to fill every bit of her as he played with her nipples in an effort to help her reach her climax. Just as Sylvia felt his energy waning he climaxed with a roar and a sharp kick of his hips. He lay beneath her, spent and out of breath, while she climbed off him and headed for the bathroom.
When she came back to get dressed again he was propped up on one elbow watching her. Sylvia made no comment as she dressed as quickly as she could. She couldn’t wait to get home and go to bed. Two mid-grades in one night had left her feeling satiated and pleasantly tired.
“I’d love to take you to the ballet,” the man told her. “Perhaps I could get tickets for next Friday? Are you free then?”
Sylvia shook her head as she put on her bustier. “I’m afraid not.”
“The next weekend, then? The Museum of Fine Arts has a gala coming up that weekend. I could take you shopping for something to wear to it, buy you anything you like. We could hit Newbury Street,” he offered.
Sylvia
pushed herself to move faster to get herself back together. She knew this game well too. It was the older-prey-trying-to-be-a-sugar-daddy routine. He figured if he flashed enough money she’d stick around. She’d played that game before and it always left her wanting. Sugar Daddies were great for the wallet but not much else. They were in some ways worse than the escort clients as they didn’t just want sex, they wanted a piece of arm candy to tote all around town. No thanks. She had gone that route before and from it had come her ‘one feeding only’ rule. Too messy for her tastes, easier to do one night stands to feed. No strings attached that way, and no time for the prey to become emotionally attached to her.
“I’m sorry, I have to go.” The man’s crestfallen face softened her up just a little bit.
He had been a gentleman and she didn’t want to hurt him, only feed from him. “It was great, it really was, but I have a boyfriend,” she lied. “I really shouldn’t have done this, and I can’t see you again, but thanks for everything.” She left without another word, leaving the bewildered but flattered older gentleman alone in bed with nothing but the memories of the hot blonde half his age he had just slept with.
