Nikki paused and then slowly nodded. “Okay, then I’m going inside. This weather is terrible.”
Lewis and Raven followed her, but Justin hesitated. Raven turned to wait for Justin. “Come on,” she whispered. “Rex and Grant will take care of Alexei and Boris. They won’t get away. Nikki and Lewis will ask too many questions if we don’t go with them. Besides, it’s almost time to meet up with Lewis’ mom and go to dinner.”
Grant stepped up and placed his hand on Justin’s shoulder. “Justin, we’ll make sure we get them both back to Bellingham. You can go with Raven.”
Justin glanced down at Alexei knocked out on the tarmac. Alexei wasn’t a threat anymore. But Justin knew that he needed to find and stop whoever was behind Alexei. Otherwise, Henry would never be safe out in the open again.
“Justin?” Raven gently called bringing him out of his reverie.
He looked up at her and thought that even if the Council was against him, at least he had her to count on. “I’m ready,” he said. He wasn’t only ready to leave the museum. He was ready to find out who was behind the attempt on Henry’s life and the sabotage of the factory. And once he found who it was, he’d stop them.

Acknowledgments
My biggest thanks goes to my husband for supporting my writing even though the time I’ve spent writing this adventure has reduced the time we could spend having our own adventures together. I promise to plan a big, crazy adventure very soon.
My boys also sacrificed a lot of time with me, but at least they were able to enjoy each new chapter as it came into existence. Thank you for being the ultimate beta readers and giving your honest feedback. You didn’t hesitate to tell me what wasn’t working. The book is so much better because of you.
Thank you to my parents who always believed in me and supported me no matter what odd things I did. It is so much easier to take risks, whether it be traveling the world or writing a book, when you know you have people who will love you no matter what.
Krista Jensen, Carla Parsons, and Norma Rudolph welcomed me into their writing group when I arrived in Cody, Wyoming, and provided great support, advice, and friendship. I love and miss you. Melynn Minson and Stephanie Driscoll, my virtual writing group buddies, served as fabulous beta readers. The book is better because of you. Thank you also to my fellow writing group partners in Washington and Arizona.
Thank you to Abigail Michel for copy editing, and to Indie Designz for the cover design and interior formatting. I was new to this whole process, but they were patient, professional, and fabulous. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Finally, my thanks goes to you, the reader. Half the fun of writing a book is sharing it with others, so thank you for letting me share it. I hope you enjoyed this adventure and go out and live your own adventures too.
About the author
Leah M. Berry grew up in the-place-of-too-much-snow (also known as Canada). In her early teens, she decided she wanted to live all over the world and not simply because she needed to warm up. First, she went alone, later she married and conned her husband into coming, and now they drag their kids everywhere they go. Currently, they live in Arizona, but by the time you read this book, their location could easily have changed. Wherever they are though, their heart is always in the Pacific Northwest.
When she’s not reading or writing about adventures, Leah is off somewhere experiencing them for herself. She loves hiking, backpacking, kayaking, traveling the world, and basically anything that involves exploring the wonders of nature. If she could have Elementer powers, she’s currently torn between wanting to be a Wind or Tree Elementer.
