Chapter One

Olivia Stanton pasted a smile on her face and sauntered past several men at the preparty for the annual Double Rider Men’s Club event. Before making it all the way across the room, she paused midstep and grabbed her cousin, Laurel’s, arm for support. “I don’t know if I can do this.”

“Why not?”

“Having sex with a stranger is a wild, crazy antic. Having sex with two of them—at the same time, I might add—is just plain crazy.”

“Pull that stick out of your butt and relax,” Laurel said hotly. “Don’t be so picky. Go mingle and see if any of the pairs of men in the room turn you on. They’re all rich ranchers. Surely you at least have
money
in common.”

Olivia snorted inelegantly. “Rich Ranchers? Really? I guess we know why
you’re
here then, don’t we?”

The sudden grin splitting Laurel’s face said she didn’t deny it. “Whatever. Try to pull a cowboy fantasy out of your tight, proper ass and have a little fun for once in your life. That’s why you’re here isn’t it? To let your hair down, relax, and have a good time with a couple of men you’ll never see again. These men are the rare kind who know how to pleasure women, but won’t pressure you or chase after you for your money.”

“I suppose so. Although money aside, talking about sleeping with a couple of rowdy cowboys and facing a crowd of men expecting you to put out times two are very distinct things.”

“Don’t think about later on. Nothing will happen tonight anyway, unless you instigate it. Just go talk to a few of the men here and get to know them. And, again, they are
not
rowdy cowboys. This isn’t the Wild West anymore. The men here are all very nice and gentlemanly.” She paused and then added, “Well, they’re gentlemanly, until they get you alone in a bedroom, then all bets are off. That’s also up to you. Go
try
to have some fun.”

Laurel imparted that sinful little tidbit and then left Olivia all alone to pursue her own pair of rich ranchers. They were here as guests for a weekend-long romp on the wild side at the annual Double Rider Men’s Club event. Even the name of the club made a riot of sensation drive down her spine into her needy pussy. She was hot for sex, but admittedly picky where men were concerned. This weekend was about letting go with strangers. She hoped that would help.

Shit
. Olivia couldn’t select or keep
one
man happy. The sudden thought of two men telling her she was frigid and hard to satisfy made her rethink this sexy weekend party.

Laurel Stanton was her only female cousin, and they’d recently become close after years apart. Not long ago, Olivia had complained about her lackluster, nearly nonexistent love life, and before she could say the words “road trip,” Laurel had invited her out to this wicked weekend party sponsored by this ultraexclusive Colorado men’s club.

Titillated in the extreme at the idea of sex with two men at the same time, Olivia had, in fact, been looking forward to this event for quite a while. Some of the pressure was off when you clearly understood the way this men’s club operated. She tried to remember this as she glanced across the room at all the pairs of men looking for a woman to fuck for the weekend.

This was nothing more than a blind date of sorts with two men. Sex was definitely included if she wanted to give this unbridled lifestyle a try. But it was clearly understood she wasn’t under any pressure if she decided she didn’t want to engage. Or if she changed her mind. At least she had until this initial
get-to-know-you
party to decide whether to participate or not.

Calculating the ratio of women to pairs of men in the room, Olivia figured there were going to be several women without dates tonight. She took a deep, silent breath and pushed it out slowly. What did she have to lose? Nothing. She
wanted
to be one of the chosen. She wanted to try two men. She wanted to take part in this wicked sexual free-for-all, even though attack butterflies had taken residence in her stomach since the moment she’d arrived. The imaginary frenzy of fluttering wings continued to dive-bomb her insides. She chalked it up to nerves and pressed forward.

A tray of champagne circulated, held by a tuxedoed member of the waitstaff. She snagged a glass to calm her nerves when offered. Expecting to gag down something barely drinkable, she was surprised by the first delicious sip. The champagne was definitely high-end, and not the cheap booze she’d expected.

Laurel had told her they were
rich
ranchers. They definitely served top-notch drinks.

Olivia pretended like this was a blue blood charity event. She circled the room making sure to speak to each and every man, or in this case, sets of men. As the queen of small talk, she was able to blend in better than she had predicted. She met every set of men in the room. They talked ranching, Colorado, and animals most of the time. Just like she would expect cowboys did. Each of the men in attendance were very nice as Laurel had said. None were threatening in any way, but also no one really set her heart to pounding. Was that important? There were certainly many attractive men in here, but no one that gave her a spark. No one she wanted to take her clothes of in front of.

After one complete circuit around the room, she saw Laurel very engaged with a pair of nice-looking men across the room.
Good for her
.

Olivia set her drink glass down and went to the ladies room to freshen up and contemplate how she’d feel if no one she met tonight turned her on. A glance in the mirror at all the effort for tonight gave her an answer.

She’d feel shitty. She’d feel overlooked. She’d feel like taking time off for this big, sexy weekend in Colorado had been a huge waste of time. Olivia had secretly looked forward to this DRMC event for weeks. At least she had looked forward to the idea of it.

As heir apparent to the family business, her free time was very limited. Next week she was going to take the reins of the company in hand as the designated successor. If anyone in the family got even a wispy hint of where she was right now, not only would they be shocked to the foundation of their beliefs, but she might
not
be the heir apparent any longer. That would not do. She’d worked too hard.

To say her family was conservative was like saying the North Pole was a bit chilly and Pike’s Peak was a nice hill.

Olivia leaned forward slightly and studied her face in the mirror. She didn’t consider herself a beauty queen, but certainly passably good looking. She had good bone structure. She took very good care of her creamy skin tone, hiding the few freckles on her nose. Her eyes were an aqua color that many thought were contact lenses.
As if
. Her blonde hair with the hint of strawberry had been commented on many times as being stunning by people she didn’t even know.

So why was she here? She sighed. Because she was lonely.

Even though the bulk of the men she’d met tonight were very attractive, none of them made her want to jump into a crazy, wild, ménage sex weekend. Lonely or not, she wanted desire to drive her actions.

She was the first to admit she was picky where men were concerned. Laurel had commented on that earlier, and she was absolutely right. But what if she didn’t find any men she lusted after tonight? Or worse, what if no one wanted
her
for a weekend of decadence?

If she wanted rejection and no sex life, she could do that back in Manhattan. Perhaps it was time to call it a night. Or she could circle the room once more.

She sighed again and paused before she touched up her lipstick. She slid the tube of her favorite color back in her purse.

No. She was done. She’d met everyone. None of the men made her heart dance. Worse, she didn’t want to be rejected during round two. She’d go back to the hotel and turn in early.

Decision made, Olivia decided to slip out and not bother Laurel. She’d text a message later on and give her excuses then. Her cousin looked like she was already having a great time. That was not a surprise. Olivia didn’t need to be a stick-in-the-mud, fuddy-duddy tight ass and ruin her cousin’s weekend, too.

She came out of the hallway to the bathroom slowly. She spied her cousin across the room heavily engaged in conversation with the same men as before.

Olivia skirted the edge of the room full of exuberant people toward the exit, which had also been the only entrance, keeping Laurel in her periphery. Her cousin was loyal. If Laurel saw Olivia leave, she’d go, too. Olivia traveled down the hallway on a mission to get out before anyone—especially Laurel—saw her go.

She made it to the hallway leading out of the bar. She passed the security guy who’d let her in earlier. He took note of her departure, but didn’t stop her. The guy was huge and muscular, and perfect in his role as head of security. No one in their right mind would ever tangle with him. Those
not
in their right mind wouldn’t tangle with him for very long before he crushed them.

She yanked the exterior wooden door wide open and stepped out into the crisp night air. Another forward step and she ran headlong into what seemed like a man-sized barrel of muscle. She inhaled to apologize and his amazing scent registered. She grabbed fistfuls of his jacket in her hands to steady herself, and took another deep lungful of luscious, man-scented air. It really had been a long time since she’d enjoyed the company of a male. This man’s scent alone made her tingle in places that had forgotten what it was like to feel good.

“Sorry, ma’am,” came a deep voice from over her head. He’d grabbed her around the waist with one arm to keep her from bouncing off his chest and onto the ground. “Are you okay?”

“Yes. Thanks. I was in such a hurry I didn’t see you. I’m sorry.” Olivia glanced up to see his face. She was greeted with masculine, angular lines and sculpted lips she wanted to trace the tip of her tongue over repeatedly. His short, dark-blond hair looked soft and silky enough to rub her face in. She finally locked on to his amazing blue eyes and became mesmerized.

Now why couldn’t the most attractive man she’s ever laid eyes on be a part of the group she’d just left?

Damn, he was fine. Her pussy gushed in agreement. Limbs still trembling, Olivia cleared her throat, wondering what she could say to keep him close just a little bit longer. He hadn’t broken the eye contact. She knew she’d stared too long, but was powerless to look away. The seductive intensity of his gaze liquefied any thoughts of leaving. It melted most of her brain’s power to process.

“Would you like to go inside and get a drink?” he asked, saving her the trouble of thinking up something clever to say. Her words had evaporated as she took in his features.

She finally blinked. “Yes. Thank you. That would be great.”

“The club I belong to is having a special event here tonight. Would you be interested in joining me?” He paused and added, “And a friend of mine?”

Her eyes widened. “You’re with the Double Rider Men’s Club?”

He nodded slowly and a smile tugged at the corner of his fine mouth. “Then you’re familiar with our group?”

“Yes. Well. I mean. Sort of. I
was
in there. But I left. No. I’m not exactly familiar.” She stuttered and stammered as the full realization of his club affiliation came charging into her brain. And he had a friend.

He kept his arm around her waist, but nudged her inside the door so cold air stopped rushing in from outside. “I see. Are you leaving already?”

“Maybe not if
you’re
going in there.”

“I’m definitely going in there. What made you leave?”

She grinned. “Guess I hadn’t met the right guy yet. Or pair of guys, in this case.”

“Then I’m glad I caught you before you got away.”

“Me too.” Together they moved toward the entrance again.

The giant posing as security nodded at her once and said to her new handsome date, “You’re late, Wade. Where’s Dalton?”
