inside Derek’s channel, seeking the spongy gland that could cause

such pleasure. The moment Kaname’s fingers brushed over Derek’s

prostate, the wolf howled, even more vocal than before. He reached

down and threaded his fingers through Kaname’s hair, forcing his

dick deeper, rushing the rhythm. Kaname grinned around his lover’s

cock. He allowed Derek to fuck his face, enjoying this passionate,

unrestrained side of Derek. He had many ways to show his sweet wolf

who exactly was in control.

As he continued to suck Derek’s prick, Kaname added another

finger into Derek’s ass. The oil did its job, relaxing the muscles,

allowing Derek’s virgin hole to receive the second digit with no

resistance. Then again, perhaps it wasn’t only the oil, but Derek

himself. The werewolf was everything Kaname had ever dreamed of

in a partner. He was, indeed, smaller than Kaname, but he was all

muscle, and cut from divine cloth everywhere, including in the genital

region. In fact, Kaname had every plan of enjoying the thick,

delicious cock now filling his mouth in many, many ways. He highly

anticipated feeling it piercing his ass, pounding him hard and fast.

But for the moment, that would have to wait, as Kaname wanted

to experience the tight hold of Derek’s ass first. With one last suck, he

released Derek’s cock from his mouth.

Derek groaned, blindly attempting to grab Kaname. Kaname

dodged his lover’s flailing hands, laughing. “Patience, Derek.” He

retracted his fingers from Derek’s ass and reached for the vial again.

“We’re getting there.”

“That’s easy for you to say.” Derek growled darkly. “You’re not

the one who’s been toyed with for the past ten minutes.”

“Easy?” Kaname repeated. “On the contrary, it’s been quite hard.

Unlike you, I didn’t get to come in the elevator. Toyed with?”

Kaname didn’t bother to hide his grin. “Oh, my dear Derek, I haven’t

even begun teasing you.”

As Derek blushed, Kaname tsked. “It occurs to me that I’ve been

too generous, letting you come like that. In the future, I’ll remember.”

As he slicked his cock up with oil, he hummed thoughtfully. “Perhaps

I’ll tie you down, keep you from touching yourself. It would be

inconvenient if I myself can’t touch you, so maybe I’ll throw a cock

ring in the mix. Would you like that? Would you like to be bound and

at my mercy?”

Derek’s frustration seemed mixed with desperate arousal now.

Kaname saw how hard it was for the wolf to accept that yes, he

wanted what Kaname offered. But both of them saw the truth in

Derek’s heart. The wolf ached to surrender control to someone else,

and he trusted that Kaname could be the person who’d take care of

him.

Kaname lifted Derek’s legs onto his shoulders, exposing Derek’s

glistening opening. “It’s okay, Derek,” he whispered, leaning over the

werewolf and brushing their lips together for a slight kiss. “As long as

we both enjoy each other, there are no rules. I will show you just how

good it can be between us,

Still holding Derek’s gaze, Kaname slowly slid home. Both of

them hissed as Kaname’s dick sank into Derek’s ass. The werewolf’s

flesh adjusted to accommodate the invasion, greedily swallowing

Kaname’s prick. It was better than anything Kaname had ever

experienced in his long life, and he had trouble keeping himself from

going too fast and hurting Derek.

In the end, Derek must have sensed his need, as he murmured,

“Come on, Kaname, fuck me like you mean it.”

The words were punctuated by small moans and gasps, but

Kaname understood anyway and was more than grateful for the

reprieve. Taking a deep breath, he fully buried his shaft inside his

lover’s body. Sparks of pleasure burst through him, the hot, almost

painful hold of his lover’s channel becoming his own personal heaven

and his hell, scorching him, drugging him, making him wild with

need for more.

No longer able to control his urges, Kaname started a punishing

rhythm, releasing all the lust and the desire he’d experienced in

Derek’s absence within the werewolf’s body. It seemed that no matter

how hard he took Derek, it didn’t satisfy his greed. Passion rose

within him, brighter than even the sunlight vampires craved, more

desperate than the bloodlust that defined them. He hadn’t even

realized sexual desire could reach such extents, but here it was. He

could not have broken away from Derek even if the entire world had

been crumbling around them.

Over and over, he thrust deep into Derek, aiming for his lover’s

prostate. Derek moved with him, writhing in pleasure, as lost in

Kaname as Kaname was in him. His clawed hands raked over

Kaname’s back, and the burn of the scratches added another

dangerous layer to the ecstasy. It was so intense that Kaname thought

he might die from it.

A very dim part of him remembered what his butler had told him.

It seemed to be a lifetime ago, although it had just happened the day

before. Kaname thought he could recall the man—what was his name,

anyway?—warning him not to get in too deep with his shifter. Too

deep? Crap, he couldn’t get deep enough, both literally and

figuratively. Had he ever thought he could have a fun romp with the

werewolf and send him on his way? He must have been insane.

On and on it went, the bed protesting as Kaname increased the

speed and strength of his thrusts. Kaname ached for another taste of

Derek’s blood, but he knew that if he got it, it would be all over. He

wanted to keep going, to hold on to this, just a little longer.

But then, Derek exposed his throat to him, panting out in a hoarse

voice, “Bite me. Take me.”

There was nothing Kaname could do to stop himself. As if

Derek’s words had activated a switch, he struck, burying his fangs in

Derek’s flesh.

For vampires, feeding was always a strongly sensual experience,

and they could make it both pleasurable and painful for their partners.

The intensity of the experience also depended a lot on the attraction

between those involved, so Kaname had known it would be

particularly powerful with Derek. Even so, nothing had prepared him

for the explosion of ecstasy that burst through him the moment when

Derek’s blood finally flowed into Kaname’s mouth.

Burying himself inside Derek one last time, Kaname found his

peak, and Derek joined him, splashing Kaname’s chest with hot

streams of cum. But the carnal climax was doubled by one at a whole

different level, one he had ignored until now. His mind was

completely in synch with Derek’s. Their souls were aligned, and

Kaname felt his entire world shift. He had heard Derek’s thoughts

before, experienced his emotions, but this was different, profoundly

so. He could not explain it too well himself, but he understood Derek

at a level he could never have dreamed prior to the bite. A connection

clicked into place, one he recognized as a mate bond.

It should have been frightening, since he hadn’t expected this, and

he hadn’t been prepared for it. It wasn’t. It felt natural, as if a part of

him he hadn’t even known was missing had finally come back to him.

Not wanting to risk any harm done to his lover, Kaname released

his hold on Derek’s throat and licked the wound. His dick slipped out

of Derek’s cum-slick channel, and Kaname shivered with pleasure

even as he collapsed at Derek’s side. Later, he told himself. First, he

needed to test their new connection.

“Derek?”
he thought, gazing deep into the werewolf’s dazed

eyes.
“Can you hear me?”

Derek blinked then beamed brightly at him, his expression

clearing of the lassitude left behind by the afterglow.
“Of course I

can. You’re my mate.”

Kaname had sensed that certainty within Derek even before they’d

coupled. Under normal circumstances, he’d have shied away from a

partner who seemed infatuated with him, as he didn’t appreciate

complicated emotional entanglements. But in his heart, he had known

it would be different with Derek.

“I am,”
he told the werewolf.
“And you,
boku no hana
, are mine

forever.”

A few seconds passed, and then Derek finally spoke. “Did you just

call me your flower?” he asked out loud.

Kaname laughed lightly. “Indeed. I find it quite suitable.” He

brushed a lock of hair from Derek’s face. “You are like a flower that

stubbornly refuses to show its petals, until darkness falls and you

open up to the rays of the moon.”

“And I’m assuming you’re the moon.” Derek grinned. “You’re in

a very poetic mood.”

“Perhaps you just make me that way,
hana
.” Kaname smirked

back. “But then, you make me many things.”

To illustrate his point, he grabbed Derek’s hand and guided it to

his already rising erection. Derek didn’t delay in following Kaname’s

invitation, and together, they lost themselves in the celebration of

their new bond, forgetting everything else except their passion and

their joy.

Chapter Three

The shrill sound of the phone awoke Byron from a deep sleep. At

first, he debated ignoring it since the warmth of his mate in his arms

and his delicious scent conspired to make Byron think of more

enjoyable things than unwelcome calls. Alas, he only gave his

personal number to a select few. This meant that someone from his

close circle of family and friends was calling him, and perhaps they

needed to talk to him regarding something important.

As things were right now, Byron could imagine a million issues

that could have come up during his brief break from business. He had

far more people who counted on him now and, yes, cared about him

than he used to, and sadly, this meant that he had more people he

worried about. The most important ones, though, his mate, his

children, and his nephews, were safe, so whatever this was about, it

couldn’t be too serious.

Still, it was with great regret that he released Skylar from his

arms. He slipped out of the bed, smiling when Skylar rolled over,

grumbling slightly as he attempted to find him again. Byron pressed a

brief kiss to his mate’s forehead then went to take the call. He just had

to get rid of whoever was on the phone and then he could wake his

beautiful Skylar up for a repeat of last night’s performance.

The thought made him smile, and he rushed to deal with his self-

appointed task. The screen of the cell showed a number that surprised

him, though, and a feeling of apprehension coursed through him.

Malcolm. How strange. What could the man want?

Malcolm was the closest thing Byron had to a father and they’d

always been close. However, his niece, Sophia, had attacked Alexis

Whitaker, the incubus mate of Byron’s son, Morgan. Since then,

contact between Byron and Malcolm had been rare, and only because

Byron initiated it. He knew that Malcolm was very ashamed of what

Sophia had done, and in many ways, blamed himself for not seeing

her madness.

Both Malcolm and his wife, Yuki, had left to Australia,

accompanying Sophia to the prison where she’d been exiled. Byron

hadn’t spoken to them in months, and it unsettled him that Malcolm

had called of his own accord.

Hastily, he took the call, but the moment he saw Malcolm’s face

on the screen of the cell, he knew he’d been right to worry. “What’s

wrong?” he asked without preamble.

“Yuki is dying,” Malcolm replied, his voice low and broken. “And

Sophia escaped.”

Byron collapsed on a nearby chair, not knowing which statement

he should deal with first. He heard Skylar awaken and softly ask,

“Byron? What’s the matter?”

Naturally, the seahorse had felt Byron’s anxiety. Under normal

circumstances, Byron still preferred to protect his mate from certain

issues, but now, he truly needed Skylar’s gentle strength.

“What do you mean Yuki is dying?” he asked Malcolm. A soft
