Frozen Yogurt

 

Frozen yogurt is a healthy alternative to ice cream. With this great frozen yogurt recipe you won’t even miss that good old ice cream.

 

Yields:
1 quart

 

Ingredients

1/4 cup maple syrup

2/3 cup cane sugar

3/4 cup frozen cherries, thawed

1/2 cup coconut milk

2 cups Greek yogurt

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

 

Toppings:

Toasted almonds, sliced

Extra cherries

 

Method of Preparation:

  1. Place the yogurt on a bowl and incorporate the coconut milk, salt, maple syrup, vanilla and sugar.
  2. Whip the ingredients together until they are completely combined.
  3. Place in the ice cream maker and follow its instructions.
  4. With a potato smasher or a fork break up gently the cherries.
  5. Incorporate the cherries into the ice cream maker.
  6. Allow the cherries to swirl around the ice cream.
  7. Place the ice cream in a bowl and put it in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Serve and top with almonds and cherries.
Cherry Cake

 

This delicious moist cherry cake is very simple to make. Your favorite cake mix will be the key ingredient for making this cake an awesome cake.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups boiling water

1 (21-oz) can cherry pie filling

1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened

1 package white cake mix

2 cups whipped cream

1 (3-oz) package cherry gelatin

 

Method of Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Prepare the cake mix following the package instructions.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 13x9-inch greased baking pan.
  4. Place in the oven and bake it for about 40 minutes.
  5. Allow the cake to cool for about 5 minutes.
  6. Place the boiling water in a bowl and incorporate the cherry gelatin. Stir until the gelatin has dissolved.
  7. Poke holes in the cake with a fork and slowly pour the gelatin mixture over the cake.
  8. Allow it to cool for 20 minutes.
  9. Cover the cake and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  10. Place the cream cheese in a bowl and whip it until it becomes fluffy.

6 egg yolks

1/3 cup cherry juice concentrate

8 tablespoons sugar

2 1/4 cups heavy cream             

 

Method of Preparation:

  1. Place the heavy cream in a saucepan and incorporate the cherry juice.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer and remove from heat.
  3. Place the egg yolks in a bowl and incorporate the sugar.
  4. Whip the ingredients together for about 1 minute.
  5. Gradually pour in the cream mixture into the egg mixture. Whip the ingredients while pouring.
  6. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and heat the ingredients over low heat for a couple of minutes, until the consistency of the mixture becomes thicker.

  9. Place the ramekins in the oven over 300 degrees.
  10. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.

4 eggs

2 cups flour

1/4 cup flour

1 1/2 cups white sugar

1 cup butter

 

Method of Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour an 8-inch tube pan.
  3. In a bowl place the baking powder and incorporate the salt and flour; mix the ingredients.
  4. In another bowl place the cream cheese and incorporate the sugar and butter. Cream the ingredients together until the mixture is light.
