“Enough. I’m real glad you all are so happy, but stop. Enough is enough.” Sidda sighed and flopped down in a chair.

Both women gasped, tugging her to stand back up. “You can’t sit.” Her mom fussed while Scarlett patted her floor-length silk ivory dress down. Sidda had been forced to go dress shopping but had fallen in love with a stunning Ann Barge strapless sheath with black beadwork.

“Stop. Now this is ridiculous. Really, stop.” Sidda shook her head. “I hate to tell y’all, but we’ve already marked each other. This is just a show.” Sidda cocked her left hip out, daring the women to say anything.

The door to her and Jasper’s bedroom swung open, and Vivian rushed inside. In the month that had passed, Sidda had come to terms with what had happened between Jasper and Vivian when they were kids. They’d been too young to know what was happening then. Now Jasper was Sidda’s, never to be anyone else’s ever again.

“Oh, Sidda, you are stunning. I love it. I’m so glad we made it on time.” Vivian hugged her mother before sitting on the edge of the bed.

Sidda’s palm burned. Stephan was close, and he was worried. She flexed her hand, trying to make the link disappear. Since the night of the gala, Sidda had been trying to figure out how to tell Jasper that Stephan had indeed marked her. The bond wasn’t complete as she hadn’t marked him or mated with him. But still, one day she’d have to tell Jasper, just not today. With his Alpha powers, Jasper could dissolve the bond, and she’d ask him to, just as soon as she figured out how to keep him from killing Stephan when he found out.

“Any good news?” Sidda faced Vivian as she strolled into the room.

“Yes, I believe we’ve found one of the females Brockton had been given. We leave tonight after the ceremony to talk to her.” Vivian sat up, brushing her hair from her face. “What about Dane? Have you and Jasper found him yet?”

Sidda chewed her bottom lip. The bastard hadn’t shown up at all in any packs they’d talked too. They’d found a few properties to research, but Sidda doubted he’d gone anywhere that they could physically link to him. Jasper was growing more and more anxious over it, and soon they’d turn up the heat.

The door to the room opened again. This time Delilah strode in. “All right, stop fussing with the poor child. It’s time.”

Sidda rolled her eyes. They really had to stop. She slapped the hands smoothing her dress and hair away. “Enough. I’m probably going to get blood on it anyway, so stop.” Sidda’s mom gasped, but Scarlett laughed.

“She’s not serious, Angela.” Scarlett shook her head,
tsking
Sidda for the comment.

“Let’s just go please. If you all are treating this as a wedding, I’m going to be treating tonight as a honeymoon so you are all to be gone tonight.”

Vivian grinned. “Funny, Jasper said the same thing to the wolves downstairs.” She pounced from the bed, laughing as she strode from the room.

Sidda eased down the hall, through the living room, to the back porch. The lawn was covered with wolves, some shifted into true wolf form, some still in human form. To her left, Ivan stood beside Ms. Joy while Cole stood on the other side of her, scowling. He still had a hard time accepting his mother in a relationship. Poor baby. Sidda laughed.

A movement from her right drew her attention as Jasper stepped out from the kitchen door. His tuxedo jacket hung open with the top few buttons of his shirt undone. Ms. Delilah rushed over to him, trying to button him up, but Sidda grabbed her hand to stop her.

“It won’t be on him long enough to go through that effort.” Sidda ran a hand down his chest, feeling his muscles flex and jump under her touch. Her eyes met his, and she winked before sealing her lips to his.

Jasper cupped the back of her head, holding her to him for a long firm kiss. He wanted the world to see she was his and only his. He released her to wink back at her.

“You’d better live up to that kiss later.” She turned and walked back to the middle of the porch overlooking the crowd of wolves who’d chosen to bear witness to their union. Jasper followed, taking her hand in his as they faced the world together.

“Pack mates, friends, family, today is a wonderful day for not only myself but for us all. My entire life I’ve loved one person, and finally today I am more than happy to show you all my love and fidelity to her. Today my mate, Siddalee Brighton, will officially become the Blue Moon Pack Alpha Female and the Alpha Female of the North American Luna Nation.” Jasper’s voice boomed with pride. The crowd clapped and shouted their approval.

Jasper pulled Sidda to him, gently wiping away the few tears she’d shed. Knowing Sidda as well as he did, he realized how touched she was for the response she’d gotten. She’d feared they would all hate her because of her father, but she’d proved time and time again she was not her father.

Jasper turned Sidda to face the Lunas before them. “Your Alpha Female.” He kissed the side of her neck before pulling her flush against him.

He pressed his body into her back, loving how responsive she was to him. Her little mews of pleasure ripped through him, driving his wolf to mark her now for the world to see. He’d use his powers as Alpha to make this mark stay, but it wasn’t the true bonding mark. No, that one had been firmly placed on her upper inner thigh. His own marking bond tingled at the base of his cock. She’d nearly made him have a heart attack when her teeth had clamped down on that spot, but even now, the tingle of energy coursing through their bond made him glad she’d picked that spot.

His teeth grazed her collar bone, and when she tilted her head to the side, showing throat entirely for him, he no longer held his wolf back. He bit, and bit down hard. Her blood seeped into his mouth, and he lapped at it, loving the taste or her. Within seconds the bite had already started to heal and she’d twisted in his arms. He smiled, knowing how bad she wanted to mark him for all to see because he’d felt the same way.

He tilted his head, allowing her his full throat for the mark. She smiled against his collar bone, the exact spot he’d marked her. Her breath brushed across his skin before her teeth sank into his neck. He groaned, hoping his knees didn’t give out on him. Jesus, her bite had him nearly coming in his pants. She licked the blood from his neck, mimicking the motion she’d done on his cock the night before. He groaned, tugging her tight against him so she could feel what she did to him.

“Easy, pup. We’ve got to meet and greet now,” she whispered against his skin.

Jasper growled and shook his head. “Later, much, much later.” He reached down to grab her around the waist and hoist her into his arms. “Enjoy the food and company, everyone, but my mate and I will be eating privately.” Sidda buried her face into his chest, laughing right along with him and everyone else.

Jasper turned to march back inside to their room, but Ivan stepped in front of him, holding an envelope.

“Alpha, you need to see this.” His tone had dropped to pure remorse.

Unease spiraled through Sidda through their bond. Jasper shook his head. “It can wait. I’ve been promised a honeymoon or something close to it, and I intend to collect right now.”

Ivan shook his head, pressing the envelope closer to him.

Sidda squirmed in his arms until he sat her down onto her feet. “Jasper, it sounds important. Just look.” She crossed her arms over her chest, leaning into him.

Jasper snarled, snatching the manila envelope from Ivan. He flipped it over to check the label, but there was no return address. He pulled the letter from the envelope to be assaulted by the scent of moss. Dane Velham. Sidda tensed beside him. He flipped the sheet open.

Find us if you can, before I find the rest.

A four-by-six snapshot slid from the envelope to the ground. Sidda bent over to grasp it, trembling slightly as she held it up for him to see. Two men who resembled Jasper so much it was hard not to believe it was him were tied to trees outside of a falling down barn. The men had slashes across their chests and blood ran down from the wounds. Tears pooled in her eyes. Behind them, Delilah gasped, rushing forward to see the picture better.

Jasper growled with rage. Sidda squeezed his hand. “Looks like our near honeymoon will be a road trip.” She smiled warmly at him, easing some of his rage.

“Looks like it. The postmark is from Wyoming. Ready for a trip?”

“With you, always.”

Despite the circumstances, Jasper grinned. He knew that together, he and Sidda would always come out ahead. No one, especially Dane Velham would ever be able to stop them. He pulled her to his side as they headed off into their future as the North American Luna Alphas.
