Nathan nipped the side of his
neck then whispered, “While you two move this to the bed, I’ll go get the

Three

“Okay, what’s up?” They were all

chuckled, and leaned over to brush his lips against Heidi’s forehead

, you’ve been a part of
us for too long now for us not to notice when something is bothering you.”

“It’s nothing, really.”
Rafe
sighed, and looked away momentarily like he wanted a
subject change.

“Spill it. Come on,
Rafe
, you can tell us anything. We care about you and if
you’re hurting so are we,” Heidi pleaded. There was something wrong and she
wanted to fix it.

Nathan rolled over Heidi so that
he could get closer to
Rafe
. He sat up and placed his
hand against
Rafe’s
heart. “Anything,” he repeated.

“You left,”
Rafe
whispered. “It just hasn’t been the same since you left me in Port Jervis.”

Heidi gasped, her eyes going
wide. “You want out? Is that what you’re saying? Are you going to leave us?”
Her eyes glossed over and she tried hard to hold back the tears.

“God no!”
Rafe
quickly pulled her to him for comfort. “I’m here as long as the two of you are
willing.”

“Well then plan to stick around
for the rest of your life.” Nathan rubbed Heidi’s back. She seemed to be calming
down.

“Then what are you saying
exactly?”

“What I’m saying is that I’ve had
some time to think in the months we were apart. I know you both love me, hell,
I hope you know how much I care for the both of you too,
it’s
just sometimes I feel like the third wheel. I feel like I’m in the way. You’re
both married now, and what am I, your play toy?”

“Hardly a play

You’re so much more.” Heidi gripped him against her
harder, and then leaned back to look at him again. “And, you’re never in the

“Just tell us how to make it
right for you?” Nathan interrupted looking worried. “The last thing we’d ever
want is for you to feel uncomfortable or unwanted. We’d hate to lose you.” He
gulped and cleared his throat while Heidi reached back for him and squeezed his
hand.

“You can’t really. This is my
problem to work through, I guess I just long to find my something spicy who’ll
agree to love you both as much as I do.”

Heidi smirked knowing that he was
referring to when she and Nathan first started their relationship. It was a
rocky road, as Nathan ran from his feelings and almost shut her out of his life
for good. He soon realized what a mistake that was with the help of
Rafe
, and humiliated

in
front of hundreds as he serenaded her inside their favorite club
Drink Nights
. It was the night he
proposed to her, and also the night they had their first threesome experience

was disrupted by the laughter surrounding her.

“God, I love you.” Nathan pulled
her onto his lap and kissed her thoroughly. “But you can’t just start planning
things without talking to
Rafe
first. You’re one of a
kind Heidi, what makes you so sure we can find another one like you for
Rafe
?”

“I just do.” Heidi shrugged,
smiling wide. “In fact, I think I already have someone in mind.”

“You do, do you?”
Rafe
grinned. “Have I told you how much I love you lately?”

“You have, but a girl can’t ever
hear it enough.” She smiled again and positioned herself in between the two of
them. “Just promise me that adding a fourth will only make our union stronger.
I can’t bear to think of losing what we have. We love you,
Rafe
.”

“It’ll never happen.”
Rafe
whispered, “What we have is too good. How could I ever
think of leaving when you both give me everything I’ve ever wanted and more?”

Nathan cleared his throat and
pulled her against him. “And, I guarantee I’m not going anywhere. I gave you my
vows and promised to love and cherish you for the rest of my days. You’re
forever stuck with me, my love.”

“Thank you,” she whispered. “Now
prove it to me. Love me tonight, and tomorrow we’ll plan our mission to find a
fourth.” She winked and lay back as both men topped her. Loving her, they
started with their mouths and finished with their hearts, minds, bodies, and
souls.

Life was about to get a little
more interesting, and Heidi was up for the challenge to make it happen.
Rafe’s
happiness depended on it, and she aimed to please,
even if the outcome of it was unclear. She had to hope for the best.

“So did
Rafe
show up yet?”

“Sure did, he’s been with us a
couple of weeks now in fact.” Heidi sighed still trying to figure out how to
approach
Rafe’s
concern, and as she sat across from
her closest childhood friend, she knew she needed to find someone they’d all be
comfortable with, and she couldn’t think of anyone better than
Zoey
!

Zoey
Appleby, had been her best
friend and neighbor growing up, and now that she was back in her hometown of
Maryland is was like nothing had changed.

“Hey I thought you’d be happier,
what’s up?”

“I’m extremely happy, don’t get
me wrong. Nathan and I are in love and hell, who
am I
kidding, he’s perfect for me. Then we have
Rafe
to
complete us but I’m a little worried...”

“About what?”
Zoey
snorted, “I envy you right now. Not only one, but two drop dead gorgeous men
who worship you. Would you like to switch places?”

Her light banter was meant to
lighten the mood and Heidi loved her for it.
“Very funny.”
Heidi playfully nudged her shoulder before placing her arm around it. “What I
need is to find a good woman with an open mind to make our fourth. Know anyone?”

Heidi smiled as she watched
Zoey
process what she’d just said, and waited for her to
say something before she revealed anything more to her. She wasn’t in a rush,
and only prayed that
Zoey
would be up for the
challenge herself. It would be awesome to introduce
Rafe
to a woman she knew and trusted.
Zoey
was not only
tall, blonde, and beautiful she was kind, and generous on top of it.

“What?” She did a double take
before her lips slowly upturned into a beautiful smile. “Why on earth would you
be looking for someone else?” She chuckled as if in disbelief, and took a step
back from Heidi to place their coffee mugs in the kitchen sink.

“Because as much as
Rafe
loves being with Nathan and I, our move took a toll on
him and he’s beginning to feel like the third wheel.” Heidi sighed again, and
bit her lip before continuing. “I don’t want to lose what we have,
Zoey
, but what matters most is his happiness.” She smiled
shyly. “Last night when we were in bed together I could tell something was up,
and he finally caved. He wants what Nathan and I have together with a woman of
his own, but he also wants to involve her with us. His exact words were, and I
quote—” She moved her index and middle fingers up and down to emphasize. “I’ve
had some time to think in the months we were a part. I know you both love me,
hell, I hope you know how much I care for the both of you too,
it’s
just sometimes I feel like the third wheel. I feel like
I’m in the way. You’re both married now, and what am I, your play toy?’ After
assuring him that wasn’t the case, he continued to say ‘I guess I just long to
find my something spicy who’ll agree to love you both as much as I do.’ I mean,

, what am I supposed to do?”

“Oh, Heidi.”
Zoey
wrapped her arms around Heidi in a hug. “I’m sure it will all work out. I mean
I’ve only met

once briefly at your wedding but
anyone could see the chemistry between the three of you. You were the envy of
every woman there.” She smiled and pulled back to look her in the eye. “So what
do you want to do?”

“You’re kidding right? I want to
love both my men. It took forever for Nathan to notice me, and I cherish my
every waking moment with him, and then there’s

he’s an added bonus neither of us expected, but we love him and right now my
mission is to make them both happy.”

“They’re lucky to have you.”

“Damn straight,” Heidi answered
making
Zoey
laugh.

“Okay then so we’re on a mission
to find
Rafe
a woman to love too. Do you have any
ideas about how to go about this? I mean, do you have someone in mind, or are
we going in blind? We could check out some bars, there’s this great place down
the street called
The Rendezvous
that
I go to time and again. Tuesday nights are half price drink nights. The place
is usually pretty packed. Or, are you going to let nature take its course?
Rafe’s
a gorgeous guy, I’m sure he’ll have no problems at
all finding female attention.”
Zoey
shrugged and
focused her gaze on Heidi again looking genuinely curious about how she would figure
this out.
