Overjoyed at the fact she got him to agree, she placed a kiss on his lips before she unhooked the handcuffs. He looked at in bafflement when he noticed he could’ve done that himself since she didn’t even use a key. He had a way to pay her back though, grabbing her waist he lifted her up and carried her upstairs to their bedroom and put it on her…..

Love is in the air…

Nicole didn’t want to but Gio was being so persistent with it and wouldn’t back down, so all she could do was reluctantly agree to talk about it with him. The last time she spoke about it was after they told Aniya about Kendrick and she had to confirm that everything they was saying was true. He held her close as she told him about the horrible night from beginning to end. Not once did he interrupt her, he let her get everything out, in fear that if he interrupted she would go back into her shell and not finish. He felt that knowing everything she went through would make them that much closer and also maybe he could get an understanding on how Kendrick’s mind worked.

By the time she finished telling him they both remained quiet, the only sounds that could be heard through the room was Nicole’s light sobs. He pulled her face into his chest and placed light kisses on the top of her head repeatedly. His blood was boiling, he could picture himself strangling Kendrick’s neck and applying just enough pressure before he lose consciousness then letting him catch his breath and doing it all over again. Shooting him would be the easy way out for him, he felt the urge to torture him like he tortured Nic. He would make him feel what it would be like in hell without actually being there.

“Giovanni, you’re squeezing me too tight,” Nicole called out.

“Oh I’m sorry baby girl, I didn’t even realize it; my mind was elsewhere.”

“Yeah I figured, I felt ya heart pacing.”

“Just the thought of him doing all of that pisses me off. I just feel like I need to protect you. I know I can’t
take away the pain he caused but I can make sure he pays for it.”

“But I’m not asking you to do that.”

“I know you’re not but I want to. I wasn’t necessarily asking for ya permission I was just telling you what I am going to do. Trust and believe me when I tell you it’s almost over.”

“Ok…”

“Now that that’s outta the way, what us about?” Gio tried.

“No not again…look I’m going to bed, I told you I need time to think about that,” Nicole replied as she removed herself form his arms.

“Why are you leaving I was joking.”

“No you wasn’t but I’m tried. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Can I at least get a kiss before you go?” he politely asked.

Walking back to him, she placed a light kiss on his lip and was going to back up until he pulled her back, deepening the kiss.”

“Gi…o…van…ni,” she said breathlessly, “Yo have to stop…please!” Nicole knew that if they continued kissing they would end back in bed together.

“But…what about I don’t want to?”

“Please? For me I’m asking you to stop.”

Kissing her one last time he then let her up and she raced out the room, leaving him sitting on the bed laughing.

Later that night, Nicole laid in bed tossing and turning. She couldn’t sleep even if she wanted to and she knew the exact reason why. Getting up out the bed she grabbed her rode and made her way to the hallway. Standing in front of the door, she knocked and waited until she heard she come in. Once she did she walked in with that look on her face…

Gia knew why Nicole came in her room at the middle of the night. She knew of back that was something was bothering and figured it was dealing with the same thing that she and Gio talked about a little while ago. He too had come into her room and told her everything that was on his chest. Looking at Nicole sitting on the foot of her bed, Gia decided to let her sweat a little for the simple fact that Nic felt she couldn’t come talk to her. Why would she think she would have a problem with her and Gio seeing each other, in fact she was felt they would be perfect for each other. They could complement one another, but she wouldn’t tell her that just yet.

Sitting in front of Gia, Nicole tried to get her thoughts together. She couldn’t just come out and say
“Gia I slept with your brother and I think I’m in love with him,”
or could she? No…she had to bring it to her gently; talk about something else then ease it in.
“How work’s oh and I want to be with Gio, I just need your blessings.”

If Nicole wasn’t so deep in thought she would’ve noticed the smile that Gia wore. She knew Nicole was racking her brain trying to figure out how to spill the beans.

“Nic,” Gia called out.

“Yeah?”

“I know about you and my brother,” Gia said stunning her.

“Wait what? How? When? When did you find out?
So you let me sit here in front of you looking all crazy trying to see how I was going to break it to you? You not mad are you?”

“I found out earlier when y’all was in there, I wasn’t snooping or anything I was about to walk in and I o
verheard y’all talking about it,” Gia lied, she had promised Gio that she wouldn’t tell Nicole anything about what they talked about. He made her promise to let Nicole come clean with it herself. “And no I’m not mad, I’m actually the opposite. I’m ecstatic, it’s about damn time you found someone for you. I think y’all are a good match for each other but that’s just my opinion…even though you know I’m right. Oh yeah, you have my blessings if you want to pursue something with him.”

Hearing that caused Nicole to burst out in tears. She had always been the sensitive one of the three.

“Nic I swear you are the biggest cry baby I know. I didn’t expect you to cry even though I should’ve but I gave you my blessings. So why the tears mama?”

“I don’t know,” She whined. “I guess I’m just happy, I swear I didn’t think you would be for it, I knew for sure that you would be against me seeing him.”

“I don’t know why, I know you inside and out, I know what good of a person you are. I also know that my brother is not a dog so he would never do you wrong. Y’all both would add to each other and make the other better.”

“Thank you Gia…”

“No thanks necessary, now go tell him how you feel in case he doesn’t know since nothing is standing in the way anymore.”

Giving Gia a hug she rushed towards the door but not before telling her how much she loved her.

Not bothering to knock, Nicole opened the door and walked in before closing it back. As she took off her robe, she found Gio laying wide awake watching TV like it wasn’t late in the night.

Looking at her he asked, “What took you so long?”

“How did you know I was going to come back?” she asked as she climbed into the bed right next to him. Turning off the TV he pulled her into his arms, loving the way she felt in them.

“I just did but let me ask you something.”

“What?”

“Would it be too soon to say I’m in love with you?”

Staring into his eyes, Nicole replied, “No because I’m in love with you too…”

"Pretty lady I missed you," he said once he opened up the door for her. Trying to hold back the real feelings she felt she forced a smile and told him she missed him also. After letting her in, he peeked out the door looking around then hurried up closing the door and locking all the locks. She stood frozen in the same spot even after he walked pass her to the kitchen. Noticing she wasn't following he looked back,

"What's wrong baby? Why are you still standing there?" Kendrick asked.

This seemed to be harder than Aniya thought, all she had to do was slip the drug in his drink to knock him out then call Gavin, but being around him and knowing what he did was making her sick. Her stomach turned and she felt sick every time she thought about him raping Nicole. The tears built up in her eyes and any minute they were going to fall.
"Get it together girl, if you can't do it for you then do it for Nicole,"
she told herself. At that very moment he grabbed her hand, bringing her back from her thoughts. She was so caught up she never noticed him walking towards her or asking her what's wrong.

Smiling the smile she once loved "Pretty lady you alright?" He asked while lifting her head up. He
leaned down as if he was going to kiss her, thinking quickly she walked around him further into the house.

"Yeah I'm fine! I was just taking in the place, you know? Feels like I haven't been here forever," she lied.

Noticing her roaming eyes and looking at everything but him, he tried to calm her, "What’s wrong beautiful you don’t trust me? You know I would never hurt you right? I promise pretty lady, just relax," Kenny said.

After dropping Aniya off, Gavin and Gio went straight to the motel. The motel was a couple of blocks from Kendrick's house. They were waiting for the word from Aniya. Tonight was the night; they were going to pay Kendrick back for what he did to Nicole. They went over the plan more than fifty times, so everything should go smoothly. Once Aniya called them they would head back over let Aniya take the car and they were going to finish him off. She didn't know that part, that was better left unsaid when dealing with her, she wasn't stupid she knew they were going to hurt him but not kill him. Once the deed was done they would make it seem like a drug deal gone bad, they would ransack the place, plant evidence then exit the back way and escape back around the motel where they had a get a way car parked.

"It's on! You ready for this?" Gio asked.

Sucking his teeth "Nigga is you serious? Hell you asking me that for? I been ready since the moment you told me about his sick ass!"

"Aye chill! It was only a question; take the anger out on him not me!"

"Yeah my bad but you know nigga I was born ready!" Gavin replied.

"Word!"

"Now the wait begins..." Gavin said before firing up a blunt. He needed something to mellow his anger, he was so tempted to say "Fuck the plan" and go bust in the house and just body the nigga. Only thing stopping him; Aniya! He didn't want her harmed at all or for her to witness a killing......

Every move she made he was right behind her, she couldn't make the drink without him being behind her touching her or telling her how much he loved her.  Feeling as if he knew what she was trying to do, she told him she suddenly felt sick and thought it was best if she left. She tried to make her way to the door; just to be grabbed forcefully by Kendrick. Turning around she noticed the crazed look on his face. Gripping her wrist tightly he stared at her intensely.

"Uhhh, Kenny let me go your hurting me!" She said while trying to free her arm from his grasp.

But Kendrick wasn't trying to hear that; it didn't matter how much he loved her if she tried to leave he was going to make her stay by any means necessary!

"NO!" He yelled.

"You're trying to leave me! You're NOT LEAVING ME!"

Frightened now she tried to talk her way out of it but he refused to let her go.

"Uh Kenny, I'm going to leave now, I promise I'm going to come back another time once you calm down.”

"No! I can't do that sweetheart, I can't let you leave me," he told her.

"Please don't do this you can let me leave I promise I won’t say anything about this," she begged.

He never replied he just stared at her with an intense look on his face, looking as if he was deep in thought. She slowly started walking backwards towards the door. It was now or never! Glancing back at the door she saw she wasn't that far from it. Her breathing picked up while her heart started racing, she felt it pounding in her chest. Counting slowly to five in her head, she tried to get herself under control, and then she was going to take off for the exit. Turning around so fast she almost caught whiplash but that didn't stop her, she raced to the door, trying to open it only to be denied by the locks. The slam was on and couldn't be unlocked without a key and just her luck; the key was missing! Her tears started! She knew she was trapped!

"Please Kenny just unlock the door for me," she whispered while still trying to catch her breath.

Realizing he never chased her or said anything she slowly pivoted around, glancing up he stood before her with a wicked grin on his face waving the key in the air.

"Looking for this pretty lady?" he smirked.

Making his way towards her, she had nowhere to run or turn; she backed up against the door.

"Kenny you don't want to do this, you love me remember?"

No response...

"And I love you, I just want to....umm please don't do anything crazy," she said nervously.

With his body pressed against hers, her body shivered from fear. His silence scared her beyond belief. This wasn't the guy she once knew, no this man was completely different. This was the monster she was warned about. Stuck in his captivity all she could do was pray; for either God to protect her or for Gavin to come busting down the door.
