Apart from her birth record, the only possible mention found of Rose is in a passenger list of arrivals in New Zealand in 1962. It appears that this Rose Joslin was killed in a motor accident a few months later.

This is ‘Bertie’ from the ‘RAF’ album of photos. After the war he moved to southern Africa, possibly Rhodesia, where his son Andrew was probably born. Bertie was captured at an airfield in France in 1939 and spent almost the whole war in POW camps. He was in the well known ‘Stalag Luft 3’, which was the one that the film The Great Escape was based on.
