, the Rolling Stones perform at a free concert in Hyde Park. Estimates of the audience ranged from a quarter of a million upwards. Mick opened the Stones’ set with a tribute to Brian Jones, who had died on the night of our White Ball: Mick wore the same milkmaid’s smock he had worn then.
