"I
promise
I
will
always
be
slow
and
gentle
with
you.

I
will
never
hurt
you
Mye
Queen,"

He
said
as
his
eyes
engaged
hers.

Queen
realized
he
was
no
longer
talking
about
horseback
riding.

Nonetheless
she
simply
replied,
"Okay,
I'm
ready
then."

"Alright
let's
go."

"So,
how
do
I
get
up
there?"

Queen
asked
as
she
pointed
to
King's
saddle,
which
appeared
to
be
a
mile
high.

"Okay,
first
you
step
up
on
the
stirrup
with
your
left
foot.

Then
you
pull
up
on
the
saddle
handle
and
swing
your
right
leg
over
the
saddle
like
this."

Teddy
effortlessly
demonstrated.

"Yeah
that
sounds
and
looks
easy,
if
your
legs
are
six
feet
long."

"I
could
just
lift
you
up
here
if
you
want
me
to."

Teddy
offered.

"No,
let
me
give
it
a
try
first.

Hold
King
tight,
so
he
doesn't
run
off
with
me."

Queen
said
as
she
attempted
to
pull
herself
up
onto
King's
saddle
with
little
success.

Her
body
was
willing,
but
her
jeans
may
have
been
just
a
little
too
tight
to
swing
her
legs
over
King's
broad
back.

After
a
second
and
a
third
attempt
she
realized
what
the
problem
was,
unfortunately
so
did
Teddy.

"I
see
the
problem.

You
have
too
much
ass
and
too
little
give
in
those
jeans."

Teddy
chuckled
as
he
watched
Queen
struggle
to
mount
King.

"Bite
me
Teddy!"

She
retaliated
in
sheer
frustration
as
she
made
her
fourth
and
final
attempt.

"That's
a
very
tempting
offer.

But,
I
really
didn't
mean
any
disrespect.

It
was
merely
an
observation.

I'm
sorry....
it
was
insensitive.

Forgive
me?

And
by
the
way,
I
wish
I
was
those
jeans."

"It's
okay,
you're
right.

My
ass
is
too
big
and
my
jeans
are
too
tight.

I
bet
I
could
do
this
if
I
didn't
have
them
on."

She
said
as
she
stood
on
the
stirrups
trying
to
figure
out
a
way
to
get
up
in
the
saddle.

"Take
them
off.

If
you
think
it
will
help."

Teddy
joked.

"You
are
so
damn
nasty.

Help
me
get
up
there."

She
retorted.

Teddy
mounted
King
and
then
reached
down
and
lifted
her
up,
with
one
arm.

"Now
just
throw
your
leg
over."

"Damn
Poppy!

I
didn't
realize
you
were
that
strong.

If
I
knew
it
was
going
to
be
that
easy
I
would
have
given
up
sooner."

Queen
teased
as
she
settled
into
the
saddle
behind
Teddy.

"Now
where
can
I
hold
on,
so
I
won't
fall
off?"

She
asked.

"You
can
wrap
your
arms
around
my
waist,
unless
you're
afraid
to
touch
me."

Teddy
taunted.

"And
why
would
I
be
afraid
to
touch
you?"

Queen
questioned
as
she
tightly,
wrapped
her
arms
around
his
waist.

"I
don't
know.

You've
been
avoiding
me
like
I
had
the
Eboli
virus
or
some
shit."

"Bear
I've
been
going
through
a
lot
lately.

Nobody
was
avoiding
you.

Avoiding
you...
please,
you
know
that's
not
true."

"Okay,
say
what
you
want.

But
I
know
what
I
feel."

"I
see
that
this
is
going
to
be
a
long
ass
ride."

Queen
murmured.

"Can
we
go
now?"

Teddy
grinned
and
said
"No
problem."

Seconds
later
he
yelled
"Giddy
up!"

He
yelled
as
loud
as
he
could
and
King
bolted
down
the
well-traveled
path
like
a
veteran
thoroughbred
racing
in
the
Triple
Crown.

Queen
released
a
bone
chilling
scream
befitting
a
victim
in
a
Stephen
King
movie
as
she
desperately
held
on
for
dear
life.

Her
heart
pounded
over
a
hundred
times
per
minute
as
the
splendorous
animal
sprinted
like
the
wind
along
the
crooked
country
trail.

She
quickly
shut
her
eyes
tight
in
anticipation
of
imminent
disaster
as
Teddy
masterfully
navigated
King
around
a
virtual
obstacle
course
of
fallen
tree
limbs,
low
hanging
branches,
boulders,
burrows
and
broken
fences.

After
an
infinite
number
of
close
calls,
near
misses
and
narrow
escapes
her
adrenaline
kicked
in
and
shrills
of
terror
suddenly
turned
into
jubilant
screams
of
joy.
