"Is
it my damn imagination or is he coming over here?" Queen asked stunned.

"Of
course he is." Jade answers as she stands to greet him with a big hug and a kiss. "Hey, I'm glad you could make it.  Chris this is my best friend and my Maid of Honor- Dr. Mye Queen. Queen this is the Best Man- Dr. Christian Love."

Queen's
eyes meet Christian's for the first time and a big smile magically illuminates both of their faces.  Still a little dazed, Queen manages to politely extend her hand for Christian to shake.  To her surprise Christian gently kisses her hand instead.

"Dr.
Queen it's a pleasure to meet you."

"It's
good to meet you too Dr. Love. Call me Queen."

"Please,
Christian is fine." Christian said as he reluctantly released Queen's hand.

"Sit
down.  Dorian is in route.  He just caught a cab from downtown so he should be here any minute." Jade said as she patted the chair between her and Queen.

"Thanks
Jade. You look amazing as always."

"I
do my best." Jade smiled as she playfully adjusted her cleavage.

"Dr
Queen, you’re more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Dorian told me that you were stunningly beautiful, but I must say that doesn't even begin to do you justice.” Christian replied as he soaked in Queen’s sensuality and beauty like a sponge.

Thank you. Please call me Queen.”

Sure… So, Queen, Jade tells me that you are an Internal Medicine Doctor."

"Actually,
I haven’t taken my boards yet. I'm a third year Internal Medicine Resident at Her Lady of Mercy Hospital, downtown."

"Really?
I have Attending privileges there.  I'm a Gynecologist."

"That
’s odd. I've been there for over three years, and I've never seen you there."

"Actually,
I just started my practice there this week. I just recently moved here from Atlanta. I'll be working out of the Women's Specialty Care Center."

"Well,
welcome to Baltimore." Queen smiled.

"Thanks,
I think I'm going to like it here.  I think I'm going to like it a lot." Christian responded momentarily mesmerized by Queen’s cleavage.

"Wait
a second, so you're an Ob/Gyn doctor named Dr. Love?" Queen teased. “Really?”

Christian
smiles.  "Yeah, I know.  I get that all the time.  But in my defense it wasn't premeditated."

"The
funny things in life rarely are."

"Yeah
like your name." He chuckled. "So, your first name is Mye as in my?  How do you spell that?"

"M-y-e.
The e is silent. And I wish that I could say that it wasn't premeditated, but it was." Queen laughed.  "If you really want to hear something funny- my middle name is Beloved."

"Okay
… so your God given name is actually, Mye Beloved Queen?"

"Unfortunately
yes, my father must have had a brain fart or something when he named me.  Everybody just calls me Queen, it's just easier."

"I
don't know.  I kind of like the sound of Mye Queen. It just rolls off the tongue."  Christian flirted.

"They
always do, and so the saga begins." Jade mumbled beneath her breath as she took a sip of her drink. Queen discreetly kicked her in her shin beneath the table. "I'll be right back.  Dorian just came in."

Satisfied
that Queen wasn't going anywhere; Jade decides to leave the two of them alone. Besides she had to rescue her man from the den of sharks that were now circling him like he was their dinner.

The
bar had become very congested and Dorian had no clue where Jade and Queen were seated. As he attempted to hit her on her cell she sneaks up behind him and gives him a wet kiss on the neck.  Startled, Dorian turns around to find his Bride to Be.  Happy to see her he kisses her full in the mouth savoring the sweetness of her tongue.

"Hey
baby girl.  I was just getting ready to call you.  I couldn't see anything in here but booty, tits, ass and a lot more of the same."

"I
know, it's a cunt fest in here. I figured I'd better come and get you before one of these shameless vipers tries to put their fangs in you."

"Oh,
it's as hot as Haiti up in here, tonight.  And the women have left all of their damn clothes at home."  Dorian declared as he quickly scanned the crowd, as a scantily dressed attractive woman at the bar makes eye contact and stares him down. "Baby you look good enough to eat tonight.  Did I tell you how lucky I am?  I'm the luckiest man in the entire world."

"Whatever,
nigga!  I see that saddle tramp giving you the come fuck me face."

Dorian
kisses Jade hard and sticks his tongue deep into her throat and then whispers in her ear.  "Trust me there's only one woman in this place that I am remotely interested in fucking tonight."

"You
are such a good liar." Jade teased.

"Hey,
I'm not lying.  Now a couple more of these big booty cuties may run through my mind tomorrow, but..."

Jade
abruptly interrupts, "Keep playing with me.  You better quit while you have the possibility of getting some head."

"You
know I'm just playing around," Dorian confesses as he pecks her on her lips.  "Did Christian get here yet?"

"Yeah,
he's over there getting acquainted with Dr. Queen."

"I
hope they ain't getting too acquainted.  You know that's Teddy's boy?"

"I
know that and you know that, but I haven't figured out how to work it into the conversation.  Hell, to be honest, I wasn't even in the conversation.  Those two haven't stopped talking since he got here."

"Again,
that's Teddy's boy and Teddy's girl and I don't want any shit to kick off down the road."

"Whatever...
They are two consenting adults and your boy Teddy really needs a taste of his own crap."

"That
maybe so, but you and I will not be the ones to serve it to him.  I knew this bullshit was a bad idea when you brought it up."

"Look,
they're just talking.  They got a lot in common and..."

"You're
right.  They have a whole lot in common.  His name is Teddy Bear Davine."

"Doesn't
Christian know who Queen is?"

"You
know Queen and Teddy try to keep their shit a down low secret.  I didn't think I needed to qualify it.  Hell he talks to Teddy as much as he talks to me.  I thought he knew.  But judging how he's on Queen I'm really not sure.  Unless he just don't give a damn."  The bartender serves Dorian his drink.  Dorian pays for the drink and orders another for Jade.  "Fuck it!  That's grown folk's business.  I'm not in it and you need to find a way to stay out of it.  Let's have a good time."

Jade's
drink comes moments later and the two settle in at the bar to give Christian and Queen some much needed and desired space.  Jade and Dorian watch as the two laugh and talk and quickly settle into an unusual familiarity.  Dorian knew that everything about this get together spelled trouble.  It was like witnessing a terrible train wreck, you know it's going to be bad but you just can't seem to look away.

Jade
on the other hand was enjoying every second of it.  She was sick and tired of Queen living life one visit from Teddy or Logic at a time.  She knew Queen was captivated by Teddy's charismatic bullshit, and that it would take a man like Christian to wake her stupid ass up.  Teddy had been taking advantage of his license to cheat and Jade figured that it was Queen’s turn to exercise that clause in their relationship.  She was convinced that unlike Queen, Teddy was not going to be so forgiving and willing to share.

~*~*~

The
attraction between Queen and Christian was undeniable.  His charisma, confidence and sexiness alarmed her.  She hadn't felt like that for another man in quite a long time.  The fact that he was absolutely gorgeous was just a cherry on her chocolate sundae.

Queen
found it extremely difficult to concentrate.  She caught herself fantasizing about a man which she had just met less than an hour ago.  She imagined his handsome face buried between her thighs as it sucked the honey from Bear's coveted honey pot.  "Down Pretty Kitty.  You're purring a little too loud.  This man is a Colleague and a friend of a friend.  A friend who just happens to be a very good friend of your man," she thought as Christian's voice brought her back to the real world.

"Mye
Queen, Can I buy you another drink?"

"As
a rule I usually like to buy my own drinks.  I don't like to feel obligated to spend time with somebody I'm not really interested in spending time with.  But in your case I'll make an exception."

"Great!
That's good to hear... What would you like?"

"I'd
like a Slow Screw." Queen seductively answered, without hesitation.

"Uhh...
That sounds real good."  Christian stares her down and grins as he signals the Waitress.  The waitress arrives moments later to find the two mentally molesting each other. "I'll take a Slow Screw and Sex on the Beach." Christian's sultry voice announced, while never breaking eye contact with Queen.

The
waitress totally unmoved by Queen's presence leans over and moans in Christian's ear.  "Baby, I'd so love to give it to you, too."

Embarrassed,
Christian clears his throat and smiles.  "I'm flattered, but I'm here with someone."

"Okay,
but If your situation changes you know where you can find me.  I get off at three.”

Although
Christian doesn't respond, Queen's patented, “Get the fuck away from here!” look told her it was time to get back to reality and to work.

Excuse
me; your drinks will be right out." She said as she looked at Queen and abruptly turned and walked away.

"Wow.
Bitches just don't have good manners anymore." Queen laughed in disbelief. “What the hell?”

Christian
laughed.  "What did you say?"

"I'm
sorry.  I shouldn't have said that, but this trick just totally disrespected me.  Didn't she see me sitting here with you?  I could have been your wife for all she knew. I mean I've put up with the laser eyes and the dagger looks these skanks have been giving me since the second you sat down, but that was flat out uncalled for.  The only reason I let her get away with it was because I didn't want her to spit in my drink.  These bitches are tripping."

"Don't
blame her. It's probably my fault.  I was flirting with you and it must have backfired." Christian apologized.

"Hell,
if I were in her place I'd probably have said the same thing.  Well maybe not out loud.  You are an extremely handsome man, Dr. Love.  And oh do the ladies love you."  Queen, teases as she surveys the chicken head sharks circling the table like Christian was shark bait.

"Thanks.
But, from where I'm sitting, there are quite a few bruthas in here who wish I'd get the hell up. So that they could come over here to simply tell you that you look absolutely breathtaking you look in that dress."

"That
’s sweet, but most of them have already taken that opportunity.  So, please, whatever you do, don't leave me here alone. Because I can't take another bad breath, spacey tooth, wanna be, boy wonder telling me, 'You're the finest bitch up in here."

Christian
chuckles. "Don't worry.  I have no intentions of going anywhere, without you. And trust me, there's not a man on this planet that can ever make me leave you alone."

Queen
simply acknowledged his statement of intent with a coy smile as a slow oldie but goody comes on and permeates the atmosphere.  Christian looks at the stunning Queen and decides that this is the perfect opportunity to do something he's wanted to do since the moment he met her, hold her in his arms.  Christian had been single for a while now and he found it refreshing and intriguing to talk with a woman who didn't get star struck over his looks.

Queen
was confident and somewhat arrogant when it came to her self-worth.  She knew that she had a hell of a lot to offer a man and she wasn't going to settle for bullshit regardless how exquisite the package was gift wrapped.  Christian liked that about her.  He loved the fact that she was intelligent, articulate, and sophisticated, but still remained alluring, endearing, sensual and sexy as hell.

Christian
had entertained a few fantasies of his own about Queen.  Her body was amazing and he envisioned himself licking every inch of it while she screamed and begged for more.  But for now, he was content to just hold her close and get lost in the scent of her perfume.
