Thanks Jade.” Logic could tell that Queen was pissed. He just prayed that she wasn’t pissed at him. “I’ll be right back Mye Queen. Okay?”

“
I’ll be right here.” Queen smiled and casually responded as she deviously waved bye-bye to her Vegas visitors. Logic merely ignored it and returned the wigs to the ladies.

But
Jade wasn’t going to let it fly. “You really need to take a good look at what you are doing. Queen you have absolutely no cause to be jealous over Logic. For God’s sake Queen, you’re engaged to be married to Chris. Does Logic even know that?”

Queen
reserves comment.

“
Stop playing with that man’s heart and let him find love.”

“
He doesn’t love her!” Queen snapped.

“
Queen how do you know that?”

“
Because he’s still in love with me.”

“
Queen, that may well be true, but are you still in love with him?”

Queen

s silence told Jade everything she needed to know.

“
Queen, no… why do you keep doing this shit to yourself? Don’t you want to ever be happy?” Jade groaned.

Queen
didn’t answer that question. Hell, she couldn’t answer. By this time Logic was quickly approaching and for all practical purposes the conversation was officially over.

“
Okay Jade, we’re going to head home. I’ll call you tomorrow.” Queen sighed as she hugged Jade tight. “We’ll talk.”

Jade
knew in her heart how Queen felt about Logic. Queen always was and always would be chocolate covered bananas over that fine, sexy black man.  And Jade knew in her heart’s heart that that would never change. So Jade knew exactly what Queen was struggling against. Still she was afraid for her friend. She intuitively knew that the consequences for Queen’s actions this time were going to be swift and extremely painful.

Queen
was silent as Logic drove them back to her home. Logic kept waiting for her to say something, anything about the events of the day, but Queen reserved comment. Unable to stand it any longer he decided to launch a preempted strike.

“
Mye Queen I’m sorry about Nakeisha and Brianca. I didn’t know that they were coming, or I would have warned you. Is your hand okay? You hit Brianca pretty hard. You might want to get that checked.”

Queen
looked at her hand, naturally it was fine. “My hand’s fine, I know how to throw a punch without getting injured. Your girls face on the other hand is going to swell up like a pumpkin by tomorrow morning so save your concern for her.”

“
Queen don’t be upset with me. I had no idea any of this shit was going to happen.” Logic pleaded. “I never wanted the two of you to meet.”

“
Logic I’m not mad at you.”

“
Then who are you mad at, because right now you look as mad as hell?”

Queen
sighed, “I guess I’m mad at myself. I should have never…” Queen stopped mid sentence and stared blankly out the car window. She couldn’t even bare to hear the words come from her own mouth.

“
Go ahead and finish. You should have never done what?”

“
I should have never fought that girl over her man,” Queen conceded.

“
I’m not Nakeisha’s man. Nakeisha and I are just friends and I’ve never gave her any reason to think that we were anything else.”

“
Yeah, other than dating her exclusively for three years.” Queen sarcastically mumbled.

“
Who said that we were exclusive? Queen I've dated other women since we separated. Nakeisha’s not my only friend.”

In
an effort to comfort her Logic mistakenly said the last thing in the world that Queen wanted to hear. She knew Logic had been with other women over the past years, but it didn’t really matter because she was too strung out on Teddy to demand fidelity. Now, that Teddy was no longer in the picture all the lines suddenly became blurred.

Queen
could no longer place her feelings for Logic in the neat little box she kept them in for all these years. She wanted more from him and more of him, but she was in no position to ask. Queen quickly came to the realization that she was engaged to be married to Christian and Logic was a free agent. Free to date as many beautiful or ugly women for that matter as his heart desired.

This
hurt and it hurt badly, much like the blow that she delivered to Nakeisha’s gut. This was Queen’s gut check and she didn’t take it too well. The blow instantly rendered her dazed, bewildered and speechless. She was silent the remainder of the short distance to her house.

Logic
knew he had somehow struck a soft spot and he knew exactly why. He knew exactly how Queen felt about him. He knew that she was still in love with him, but a series of unfortunate circumstances and fate had kept them apart for far too long. 

It
was clear to Logic that Queen finally realized what she forfeited when she walked away that infamous night at Queen’s Palace. It was even clearer to him what role she wanted to really play in his life. Even more crystal clear was the role that he wanted her to play. Logic was still coo- coo for Coco Puffs in love with his Queen in spite of everything that they had been through.

Unbeknown
to Queen Logic knew all about her engagement to Christian. Everyone knows that Dorian has absolutely no filter over his mouth. So of course he filled Logic in on all the crazy ass shenanigans that ensued at the wedding.  Not to mention Teddy cried on his shoulders over their breakup as he blew through Vegas hookers for weeks afterward.

Still
Logic wanted to hear it from Queen’s mouth and he didn’t want to have to pry it out of her. From the moment he saw that Queen had removed her expensive engagement ring he knew that she didn’t know how to tell him. Logic realized that it was time that they finally had that talk, the talk that they both had been carefully avoiding since he arrived in Baltimore.

Logic
looked like a tall steaming hot cup of double chocolate, caramel, mocha latte in his custom, tailor made, black Italian suit.  He quickly loosened his tie, removed his jacket and reclined on the large tufted chaise in the grand foyer of Queen’s baby mansion.

“
Come sit with me Mye Queen.” He beckoned.

Queen
removed her heels and climbed in his lap and snuggled. Logic gingerly kissed her forehead and rubbed the small of her back to comfort her. Queen closed her eyes and enjoyed his comforting touch as she prepared for what was to come.

She
knew that Logic wanted to talk. They never sit in the foyer, so she knew that something was on his mind.

“
So what did you think of Nakeisha?”

Queen
lifted her head from Logic’s shoulder to get a good look at him. “You can’t be serious? Do really want to know what I think of her?”

“
Yeah… I really do.”

“
Okay, you asked for it. Nakeisha is loud, rude, crude, ignorant, obnoxious, ghetto and way to unsophisticated for you. I don’t know what the hell you see in her? Admittedly she is kind of cute, even though she is bald as hell. And I guess she has a nice body. What do you want me to say? She’s alright, but she’s not for you.”

“
Okay, so let me tell you what I think about Christian.”

Queen
was shocked. “Who?”

“
Dr. Christian Love, your fiancé.”

“
Logic, I was going to tell you, but…”

“
I didn’t ask for an explanation. Chill out, I understand why you didn’t tell me.” Logic assured her.

“
How did you find out?”

“
First of all you know that you were the talk of the wedding. That was some scandalous ass bullshit for even you. I just wish I could have seen Teddy’s face when he found out.” Logic laughed although Queen didn’t find it funny.  “Second did you forget that the Wedding Videographer and Photographer were one of my gifts to Dorian and Jade? Naturally I got copies of the proofs and the video, which your proposal was prominently featured in. Thirdly, you should have known that Dorian and Teddy were going to tell that bullshit the first chance they got.”

“
Jade never said a word.”

“
She may not have known, especially about Dorian running his yak after they returned from the honeymoon.”

“
Logic, why didn't you say something?”

“
What was I suppose to say Mye Queen?”

Queen didn't have an answer so she asked another question. “So, when did you meet Christian?”

“
Teddy brought him to Vegas long before he proposed to you. He was visiting him in LA and they drove to Vegas to party. Anyway he seemed cool. He appeared articulate, confident, obviously intelligent, and admittedly alright looking. He impressed me as a no nonsense, stand up type of guy with a good heart. Even still he’s not the man for you.”   

Queen
knew exactly where the conversation was headed. “Oh yeah, why is that?”

“
Queen you know why, for the same reason that Nakeisha is not the girl for me. What are you planning to do, sleep with me until this man drags your ass down the aisle? Or even worse sleep with both of us until you stand his ass up at the altar.”

“
We haven’t even set a date.” Queen challenged.

“
Oh yeah, and why is that?” Logic chuckled.  “Queen he proposed to you over eight months ago. You're not ready to get married and you know it. Hell, I damn near threw my back out fuckin with you last night. So what the hell is up?”

Queen
took the fifth and remained silent.

“
Look I say all of this simply to say that you and I are by no means finished with each other. That’s the reason that I choose not to date exclusively. I date two women other than you. One of them is Nakeisha and they both know about my relationship with you.”

“
So is the other one as bald and Ghetto as Nakeisha?” Queen teased.

“
No, not at all.” Logic laughed. “I know it’s hard to believe but Nakeisha's actually good people. She’s down for me and I appreciate that. She’s just jealous of my relationship with you. I still can’t believe that she brought her crazy ass to Baltimore. Let alone swung on you.”

“
She swung on your ass first. I should have let her knock your ass out. We’d see if you still thought that she was good people.” Queen joked.

Logic
laughed. “Yeah she did catch my ass off guard with that shit. Luckily I got a woman like you who can handle hers.”

Queen
stared into Logic’s beautiful brown eyes. His lips invited her to savor their sweetness. She did not resist. She sucked them in her hungry mouth. Logic returned fire as he pulled her in tight and tasted her soft lips. As sweet as peaches he craved more as he continued to sample their goodness.

“
What about Dr. Love?” Logic broke their embrace to ask.

“
You’re the only Love Doctor that I’m craving right now.” Queen moaned as she mounted his waist and dry humped his hardness.

I’m serious Queen. Don’t fuck over me with this man.” Logic warned.

“
Logic, I’m going to fuck all over you in about two seconds and it don’t have a damn thing to do with that man.” Queen teased as she tried to unbuckle Logic’s belt.

“
Queen I’m serious.” Logic sighed as he grabbed her hands. “Now tell me what’s really up between us.”

Queen
looked into Logic’s eyes and saw all the carnage and pain that she had caused over the years. It was time to be upfront and honest. “Logic I’m in love with you and I don’t know how to get pass it or make it stop. And even if I could I don’t want to. The only reason I left you was because I couldn’t stand to keep hurting you. I wasn’t ready to be who you needed me to be. I was too damaged.”

“
What about Teddy? Are you two finally done, or are you still hung up on him too?”

“
What Bear and I shared has finally run its course. We’re just friends now… without benefits of course.”

Logic
stared into Queen’s doe eyes and knew what he always knew, that no man could ever take his place on the throne of her heart. Yes she willingly gave them her body, but she reserved the best of her love exclusively for him. He realized that he was in fact the King of Mye Queen’s heart.

“
Just  give me some time to sort things out.” She pleaded. “Please?”

Logic
reserved comment as he continued to stare at Queen and contemplated his options. Should he trust her with his heart again or should he just cut his losses and move on with his life?

“
Please Logic?”

He
knew that a significant portion of his heart would always dwell with Queen, whether he was with her or not. His heart was like soft putty in her hands to be manipulated and molded as she saw fit. Try as hard as he could Logic could not stop his cravings for this woman. She was and always would be his Queen.  He realized that it was fruitless to deny her request for more time. Besides a taste of her love was better than none at all. He decided that despite everything Queen’s love was worth the risk. So he simply nodded, okay.

Upon
the release of her hands Queen went right to work showing him that she was well worth the wait. She wrestled Logic’s giant black snake from his pants and instantly soothed it with her touch.
