Dear Raffles Hotel Singapore,

Thank you for getting back to me so promptly. Like I said you have been highly recommended and now i can see why. I will note this promptness in my Raffles Folder and look at it when arrival to remind me.

I may need 12 nights now. May 12–22 exiting on the morn. of the 23rd. There will be 3 of us, myself and Roy Tonsil, and another gent. Do we need to get a bigger suite? 2 suites? Or a cot in the room?

You asked in your letter: “Could you kindly advise as to what is a winking contesting so that we could recommended/purchase the correct items. Our Concierge colleagues will revert to you shortly on your wink shades and wink pipe requirements”.

I am in Singapore for the Wink Contest and need: Wink WIPES. NOT a WINK PIPE which is for a different contest. I also need wink knob, wink cloth. Can you arrange? (i will pay above market value for convenience) in my room so I may start practicing for the contest. I did not win last year and would like to reverse that.

Please advise as to ROOM(s) for 12 nights and new guest beside us two and the wink supplies. Thank you for your excellent service (which I will put in my folder).

Dear Raffles Concierge

Thank you for answering me so we can get reservation paid for. The new companions name is DON GARGLE. Please put him on all correspondence as we are going to a foreign country and do not need any stoppage of Mr. Gargle along the way.

Now. In answer to your question: “when and where exactly is the contest being held?” We will meet at Esplanade Park. I believe near the Tan Kim Seng Fountain. There’s a foot path there. (i am told) I am surprised you have never heard of Wink Contests which are popular in the USA. Last year we held our contest in Greenland, now in your beautiful city of Singapore. Raffles comes highly recommended by coincidentally someone who sold us Wink Wipes in Greenland. But has no ability to sell us in Singapore. Can you get?

We will meet in the park for our PRE–meeting, hold our contest, then all go back to my room for wink discussions and more winking. that is why i need: WINK WIPES, WINK KNOBS. Blink pipes are for blinking, not winking. Blinking is with 2 eyes, winking one eye. if it rains we will all meet in my room. there will be 33 people winking in room but not to stay. Or perhaps you can suggest hotel conference room to rent. (only if it rains) Can we make reservation? I need to secure room for 13 nights for the three of us.

We Do not want to stay in other hotel. Tell me what credit card you need to secure reservation for 3 of us. I thank you once again for your most courteous reply.
