The Monster Attacks!

Hour seven

Hold on tight! This boat is about to start lurching and bobbing. Apophis has slithered out from his hiding place and, boy, is he mad. As we enter this hour, we can see Apophis in the middle of the cavern sucking all the water out of the river. He plans to run us aground so he can devour Ra!

But we are not going to let that happen. The goddess Isis throws up her arms and chants magic words to ward off the monster. She summons a giant snake that emerges from the water to form a barrier of safety around Ra. We gods also encircle Ra for an added layer of protection.
