Whoa! We barely make it into this cavern before Apophis attacks again! Get down in the boat and stay out of the way.

Twelve gods march toward us, holding aloft a giant snake called Mehen, the coiled one, that forms a protective canopy over the boat. Meanwhile, our ears vibrate with the hissing, spitting, and growling coming from an ever-angrier Apophis, who can’t sink his fangs into Ra thanks to the extra protection of Mehen. But that doesn’t mean the monster stops trying.

Now Horus appears and then disappears into

a magic circle. He is trying to confuse the beast.
