EPILOGUE

Loud laughter from inside of the house made Ashley smile as
she pulled into the driveway. She walked over to the passenger side and opened
the back door.

“Look at Mommy’s girl,” Ashley cooed as she unhooked two
year old Peyton from her car seat. Holding her close, she kissed each of her
chubby cheeks before grabbing her baby bag.

“Hey Auntie! You need me to help you?” Legend asked while
walking out of the house bouncing his basketball.

“No, I’m good. Where you going?” Ashley asked when he passed
by her.

“I’m going down to Epic’s house to play the video game. My
dad’s down there and so is my Godfather and uncles. Epic just called me and
told me that Uncle Mark’s new girlfriend is down there with Auntie Meechie and
she’s fine. I have to see her for myself,” Legend said with a smile. “You know
Uncle Dylan and Uncle Buddy are going back to Miami next week?”

Ashley chuckled. Legend was sure to be a ladies man when he
got older.

“Yeah, I know they’re leaving. I’ll see you later. Let your
Godfather know Peyton is here,” she told to him before walking into the house.
She could smell the aroma of food coming from the kitchen and knew that’s where
Choice would be. Choice’s two-year-old daughter Free sat on top of the counter
next to the sink watching Choice wash dishes.

“Smells good. What are you cooking?” Ashley asked before
kissing Free on the cheek and then Choice.

“I’m making some burgers smothered in gravy and rice for
the girls and Nana,” Choice answered as she dried her hands off on the towel on
her shoulders. “I talked to our parents. They said they can’t wait to come back
down to visit us.”

Ashley nodded her head. “They told me the same thing a couple
of days ago when I spoke with them. Where’s Nana?”

“Upstairs watching her soaps. Look at
Auntie’s smiling girl!” Choice smiled at Peyton before tickling her tummy until
Peyton laughed.

“You just came from the gym?” Ashley asked while looking at
Choice’s yoga pants and sports bra.

“You know I did gotta keep it tight for the hubby,” Choice
said smiling from ear to ear. Ashley looked at the time on her watch. “Okay I
have to get going. I have a client coming in about an hour.”

As she walked out of the kitchen, she thought of something
she’d been meaning to ask Choice. “Hey Choice, you ever wonder how we may have
ended up if we had made different choices?”

Choice sat Payton in a highchair and Free in another. “Nah,
I like the hand we’ve been dealt.”

Nodding her head in agreement, Ashley walked out of the
house. She pushed her avatar shades up on her face then turned off the air in
her car. Ashley decided to drop the top on her convertible. When she pulled up
to her destination, she parked her car in her parking spot then got out. While
looking through the big window she smiled. Today would be a busy day at Face of
Dreams and she was anxious to get started.
