“I’m fine. I must get these papers lodged and hurry home. It’s getting late and I don’t want any trouble.”

Linc frowned. “Trouble, from who? Surely your boss will understand if the papers are late.”

“Yes they would. That’s not the problem.” Phoebe pushed from his body determined to put space between them, take care of her business and get home before Callum turned up.

Linc released her but kept one hand on her arm until he was sure she wouldn’t fall.

Phoebe raked her eyes over her knight as she stood. He was tall, the top of her head barely reached his shoulders. He wore a grey pinstriped suit, white shirt and dark grey tie. His chest was broad and she suspected, muscular. Thighs strained against the fabric of the trousers, his legs were long and well-muscled. This man worked out. When her eyes reached his face, he was grinning. She blushed furiously. Caught!
So much for staying away from men. Not that a man like this would ever want a frump like me.

“Sorry, Linc. I really must be going. Thank you again for catching me and preventing me from falling back down the steps. I’d offer to buy you a cup of coffee but I really have to get going.” She checked her dress covered her knees and scurried into the building.

Linc watched as the entrance swallowed her up.

Chapter Two

“What the fuck just happened?” Linc asked himself as he jogged down the steps to his waiting BMW.

When the lady had stumbled it had been a natural reaction for him to whip out his arm and steady her. He’d had to prevent her from toppling back down the steep steps, prevent her from injury. As his arm had circled her waist, his body had sprung to attention – every cell, including his cock.

Positioning the young woman on a step to recover, he’d taken the opportunity to take a much closer look at the lady who had set his body alight. She wore an army green colored shift of some sort, it didn’t appear to fit very well. He suspected when she stood it would resemble a sack.

With his arm wrapped around her he could feel she was soft, curvy, a few pounds heavier than she should be. Her breasts appeared large, rounded, more than a handful. He’d run his tongue across his dry lips as his hands itched to feel the weight of what would be two exquisite globes. His eyes had then been drawn to her face. Her thick glasses accentuated magnificent brown eyes – melted chocolate sprang to mind. He was concerned by the watery redness that invaded them, had she been crying? Is that what had caused her to stumble? Who or what had upset her?

He brushed away strands of dull brown hair that had escaped from a severe, pulled back hairstyle onto her face. A bun, he thought it was called. It made her look so much older than he suspected she was.

Then, his dick twitched, his body moved from warning to high alert. The woman had plump rosebud shaped lips that begged to be kissed and damn it to hell, he had wanted to kiss them! They’d be soft like the rest of her body, pliable, hopefully co-operative.

The woman had spoken and attempted to stand but Linc had wanted – no, needed, more time with her. He’d encouraged her to remain sitting for a few minutes until she’d recovered. He’d also needed to bring his dick under control so he didn’t embarrass himself.

He’d taken the opportunity to study her further. She wore no make-up and appeared much younger than his own thirty two years. When she had eventually insisted on being on her way. Linc had sighed and helped her to her feet. He was shocked at how tiny she was. Sure, he was tall at six feet five inches but the girl barely came past his waist. He’d also been right about the dress, it hung on her like a sack. It hid the curves she should have been proud of.

He’d watched until she had disappeared from his sight and continued on his way. He climbed into the driver’s seat of his vehicle, fired up the engine, snapped on his seatbelt and checked the traffic around him before easing away. He headed straight for the gym.

“Hi, Linc,” a shapely blonde on a treadmill purred as he strode past.

“Renee,” he muttered.

Linc acknowledged several of the Personal Trainers with a nod before disappearing through a door marked ‘Private’. He dropped into a chair facing a large wooden desk. Alistair, who was seated on the other side, had his eyes fixed on Lincs’ face. He frowned at his anguished expression. “What’s wrong love?” he asked.

Linc dragged his fingers through his hair before removing his tie. He sat silently for a few moments, his gaze locked on his lover of eight years.

Alistair was shorter than Linc at six feet one and four years his junior. He had jet black, wavy hair which Linc knew slipped through his fingers like silk, and the deepest emerald green eyes. He was well muscled, thanks to his regular workouts. As far as Linc was concerned, Alistair was the sexiest man alive. Alistair had been only twenty when they had met but he’d had the maturity of a much older man.

Their attraction had been instant and within six months they had moved in together and bought their first gym - ‘Muscles’. They were now the owners of eight successful gyms throughout the city and Linc had just filed papers to develop two more. In the beginning, they had borrowed heavily to expand. It had all paid off, their debts had been cleared long ago and their wealth had increased to the point where they would never have to borrow again. The venture had been a dream come true for both of them. They both now owned BMW’s and lived in a three bedroom penthouse apartment in the affluent part of the city. They had also invested heavily in real estate and were the proud owners of two central city apartment blocks. They had been blessed with good fortune in both their business and private lives.

Linc loved Alistair deeply and the feelings were returned. Although they would never stray to other male partners, they did occasionally enjoy a night fucking a female. They always took the woman to a hotel, none had ever been brought to their home. It was only ever a one night stand, enough to satisfy their urges for a soft, curvy, feminine body, until the next time they felt the urge.

“Linc,” Alistair’s concern caused his voice to waver.

Linc scrubbed his face with his hand. “I met a woman when I was leaving the courthouse. Actually, she fell at my feet as I was descending the steps.”

Alistair pushed back his chair, rose to his feet and rounded the desk.

Linc swiveled his chair and faced his lover. His cock danced. Alistair in tight gym shorts with a t-shirt stretched across his muscular chest was magnificent. He reached out and cupped his balls through the silky material of his shorts. Alistair’s dick swelled with the familiar touch. He pushed Linc’s hand away as he leaned forward. Placing his hands on either side of Linc’s face, he captured his soft warm lips.

Linc’s lips were receptive and parted to allow Alistair’s probing tongue, entry. Their tongues embraced each other as the kiss deepened. Linc clutched Alistair to him and drew him onto his lap.

Linc’s hardened cock pressed against his lover’s ass. Alistair broke the kiss and sat back. “Darling, I would love nothing more than to fuck you senseless right here on my desk but the Accountant is screaming for our monthly report. Now, tell me about this woman that has you so rattled.”

Linc explained the encounter, described Phoebe in detail and the way his body had reacted.

“Sounds like she’s in desperate need of a stylist,” Alistair said.

“Hmmm, yes she is but….” Linc paused.

Alistair frowned. “But, what?”

“My body reacted to her in the same way it does to you. I have never experienced such strong feelings for a woman. What do you think it means?”

“I have no idea but maybe it would be worth pursuing. I would certainly like to meet the woman that has you so confused. Maybe you could explore these feelings further.”

“I know nothing about her except her name. I don’t know where she’s from, if she works here in the city or was only here for the day.”

Alistair kissed Linc lightly before pushing to his feet. “Well, my darling, you will have to file the encounter away. You’ll have to be content with me. Now, let me get back to these books. The sooner they’re done, the sooner we can leave for home.” He winked at Linc before walking to his chair and sitting back down.

“I’ll always be content with you. You’re my true love and no-one, ever, will take your place. I’m going to change, check how the trainers are going and work out. Come and get me when you’re ready to leave.” He stood and paced to a door that led to their private shower and change room. Minutes later he returned in tight shorts and a singlet top.

Alistair looked up at the sound of Linc re-entering the office. His cock twitched, his ass cheeks clenched at the sight. Linc’s thigh muscles bulged as did his shoulder and chest muscles. His waist tapered in, his stomach was flat and his hips, trim. Even after eight years together, their bodies reacted to each other’s with passion.

Linc watched as Alistair’s eyes smoldered with lust. “Don’t be too long.”

“I’ll be as quick as I can.” Alistair lifted his eyebrows. “Count on it. I love you and I’d much rather be in bed with your naked body in my arms than pouring over these figures.”

Linc planted a kiss on Alistair’s cheek before turning to leave. “I love you too, sweetheart.”

Linc jogged on the treadmill, deep in thought. Phoebe invaded his mind and it was beginning to anger him. What was it about this woman, girl, lady that was driving him to distraction? “Linc!” Alistair yelled as he tapped his shoulder.

Linc startled and spun around almost catapulting himself from the moving machine. He flipped the switch and the treadmill slowed to a stop. He stepped onto the floor and turned towards his mate.

Alistair’s hair was damp, he’d obviously showered. He was dressed in a blue polo shirt and cream slacks, ready to leave. Linc glanced at his watch as he toweled off the rivulets of sweat, he was shocked to see he’d been working out for more than two hours. He strode towards their private area with Alistair by his side.

“Where were you? I shouted your name three times, even people on the other side of the gym heard me and turned to see what was going on.” Alistair said.

“It’s that damn woman. I can’t seem to get her out of my mind,” Linc admitted. He pushed open the door and Alistair followed him into their sanctuary.

“You need to find her, fuck her and get her out of your system.” Alistair said. “Have a shower. I thought we’d grab dinner at Xylax and get an early night. I promise, I’ll take your mind off her.

Linc nodded as he moved to the shower room and peeled the clothes from his sweat moistened body. He stepped into the shower cubicle, flipped the tap to full and allowed the water to pound his overworked, aching muscles. He’d overdone it and knew he’d be sore tomorrow.

When he spun around to allow the water to pummel his back, he saw Alistair leaning against the wall watching him closely. His arms were crossed over his broad chest and one leg crossed over the other. He wore a worried expression. Linc felt guilty knowing he was the cause of the worry.

After soaping and rinsing his body, he switched off the water and stepped out of the cubicle. Alistair handed him a towel and he quickly dried off. He slipped into underwear, a pair of navy colored pants, a white polo shirt and navy colored loafers. After dragging a comb through his hair, he announced he was more than ready to leave for the restaurant.

Alistair bagged up their gym wear and towels, Linc grasped his hand and led him from the gym to his car.

Phoebe unlocked the door and stepped into the apartment she shared with Callum. She stiffened as noises from the kitchen indicated the bastard had arrived home early and started dinner. She felt nauseous knowing a confrontation would now take place.
All because the fucking bus was cancelled and the next one was late.

She placed her handbag on the entry hall table along with her keys. She hesitated for a moment and gazed at the key ring.
No use for those after tonight.

Bypassing the kitchen and attempting to delay the inevitable argument, she hurried through to the bedroom. Standing on tiptoe, she pulled her suitcase from the top shelf of the wardrobe, set it on the bed and unzipped it.

“Is that you, babe?” His voice came from the hallway. He was headed through to the bedroom.

Phoebe ignored him and flung her meagre belongings into the case.

Callum came to an abrupt stop at the door.

Phoebe spun around to witness the astonished look on his face.

“What are you doing?” he asked. “We’re not going anywhere for a few weeks yet.” He moved closer to her.

Her temper spiked, angered by the innocent and calm manner in which Callum had spoken. She didn’t trust herself to speak without screaming so she continued to throw things into the suitcase and ignore him.

He grabbed her arm and she turned. Her eyes bored into his hand. “Let go of me now,” she spat.

He released her and stepped back. He must have been shocked with her tone. She was normally quiet, shy, pliable. But, not anymore.

“Honey, what the fuck’s going on?” he asked.

She fisted her hands on her hips. “You tell me.”

“I have no idea what’s wrong and you’re obviously mad as hell.”

She stalked towards him, her head dropped back as she glared up into his face. “Let’s see….tall, blonde, kissing.”

She heard his gasp as he sucked in his breath. All color drained from his face.

“Wh…what?”

“Don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about. I’ve seen the pictures. Who is she, someone you work with, a local whore, who?”

Guilty red flooded Callum’s face. “I can explain.”

“Don’t bother. There is absolutely nothing you could say that would make me want to stay with a lying fucker like you. You and that bitch are welcome to the place.”

“Please don’t go. I promise I will never see Meg again. I love you Phoebe, she was just a bit of fun.” He reached for her but she smacked his hand away, zipped up her suitcase and dumped it on the floor.  He pleaded with her. “Come on sweetheart, I’m sure you’ve made mistakes.”

Phoebe spoke calmly, “my mistakes do not include fucking another man while I’m in a relationship. It’s over. I have been your doormat long enough, I will not listen to your ridicule any longer and I most certainly won’t let you fuck me while you’re fucking someone else on the side. Let’s face it, she probably wasn’t your first and I’m damn sure she won’t be your last.”
