At home, Nicole seemed happy and content. Jeanne worked three jobs to give Nicole and her younger brother whatever they wanted.

As a volunteer, PTO member, and paraprofessional, Jeanne was devoted to the children of Birch Elementary School. After her death, a bench in her honor and memory was placed outside the school’s entrance.

Nicole was just fourteen when she met Billy Sullivan.

When he met Nicole, Billy was living in this small ranch-style home near downtown Willimantic, Connecticut with his mother, Patricia Sullivan, and three of his four sisters. He worked at a nearby McDonald’s.
