She’s so deliciously low. So horribly dirty.”
She smiles and wags her brows. “
The difference between a lady and a flower girl is not how she behaves, but how she is treated.”
She smiles up at me.

How could she not see the resemblance between them? Jesus, she is beautiful, even her flaws.

And yet … I’ve grown accustomed to the trace,
I think to myself.

When we are done eating, she lies on her stomach with her head on my lap, and I rub her back. She rubs her cheek against my semi, and I act as if I am unaffected.

I’m not.

I want to fuck her, and I want to do it hard. I want to do it the way she and I do. However, if I slam her little peach of an ass against the wall, it’s going to hurt. Therefore, I deal with it.

After the movie ends, she rolls to her side, facing me. “Do you want to watch the other?”

I push a strand of her hair behind her ear and shake my head. “We should probably discuss what happened today.”

She smiles. “Aw, that’s right, communication.”

“Yes.”

“Fine, I’ll go first. Why didn’t you take the money like we agreed?”

“I didn’t need it. You shouldn’t have to pay for his bullshit.” I run my finger down her soft cheek.

“But you did.”

“No, I had options.”

“Like …?”

“I don’t owe anyone anything. I pay cash for everything. If I don’t have the money, I wait until I do.”

“Because of the house your family lost?”

“Yes, and the one they almost lost.”

She rubs her check against me like a kitten does to gain the attention of the hand it wants to pet it.

“I sold the Beemer,” I confess.

“But you loved that thing!”

“No, I didn’t love it. I liked it. It isn’t practical to own a hundred-thousand-dollar SUV, anyway, so it’s gone.”

“So what are you diving?”

I smile. “A Jeep.”

“Wrangler? Oh, my God, I love those things. I always wanted to stand up while going down the road and flash people in one.”

“I’m selling the damn thing, then.” I laugh.

“No way! I want some of the photos for the shoot in it.”

She is waiting for a reply, questioning if I am going to back out of it. After today, I decide to make her wonder.

“Where will you do the shoot?”

“I was thinking I really like it here. A white background, your bed …” She blushes then puts her hand on the crotch of my jeans. “And the beach. It would be so hot.”

“You sure about that? Your place is nice.”

“It has to be here.”

“Okay, but why?”

“Because I’m a girl, and this is the place where a question was answered.”

“A question?”

“Yep: does he love me; does he love me not?”

“That was answered here, huh? Not last night?”

“Here, definitely here.”

I kiss her.

She likes it here. Of course she does. And today, the place sold. Today, I was paid two hundred fifty thousand dollars.

Well, fuck.

She tilts her head and looks at me. “I want the doormat framed.”

I can’t help laughing, and then I can’t help kissing her.

Her lips are so fucking soft, so full, so mine.

I pull back and look at her without saying anything at all.

“What?”

“The quiet with you is perfection.”

“Being quiet isn’t something I’m used to.” She smiles and closes her eyes. “But I would rather it be this way.”

I lean down and kiss her again on the side of her head, down her cheek, and my lips rest against hers.

“I wasn’t gonna let this happen tonight, but fuck if I don’t wanna be inside you.” I pull back and take in a deep breath.

“I don’t need to be taught a lesson, Billy. I need to know where I stand.” She opens her eyes. “As awful as today was and as regretful as I may be about how things went down”—she reaches up and rubs the corner of my eye—“I don’t think I could be happier with the outcome. I will try harder, I promise.”

“You know where you stand now?” I smile, rubbing my thumb across her lower lip.

“Firmly on two feet and looking forward to tomorrow. How about you?”

“It’s not lost on me that the girl I judged so harshly from day one has her shit together more than I seem to right now. I can promise you this; I will try as hard, if not harder, than you to make sure that my evenings end like this. It’s nice.”

“Minus the black eye?”

“That would be nice.” I laugh softly, looking into her eyes. “This is not an invitation or a request, but don’t stifle that personality of yours on my account. I love your spirit and spunk. I love the way you don’t hold everything in. And I love that you stick up for what you believe is right, even if it isn’t always necessary.”

She smiles and shakes her head. “I need to be heard. Blessing and a curse.”

“I hear you, even when you are not talking.”

Her eyes get bigger, and I see tears form instantly.

“I see you when you are not looking, and God, you are so beautiful.”

She swallows back her tears.

“I know every beautiful girl wants to hear three words from a man they feel the same about, and I will give them to you with a precursor. What we have feels larger, superior, greater than. It feels like something that cannot change or be cured, and I don’t want it to. I have never fought harder against anything in my life. Hell, I was almost convinced in the sound room that we would be torturing each other like that forever, because after we fell into this place, the way the world spins”—I wipe away her tears—“changed directions. I became afflicted from day one. There’s no cure, and I don’t want one now.”

She sits up and hugs me tight around the neck. I pull her on my lap and hug her back.

“I more than love you, Madison.”

“I more than love you, too.” She is laughing and crying when she pulls back. She takes my face in her hands. “I love you.”

“I know you do, sweet thing. I knew I did, too.”

She leans in and hugs me again. “I love you so much I am gonna tell you something about yourself.”

I laugh. “I’m sure you are.”

“Stop fighting the God-given talent you have.” She leans back and goes for my buttons. Then she reaches in and pulls my dick out and smiles. “If you tell Memphis I said this, I will be so mad at you.”

“You have my cock in your hand, talking about my God-given talent and your brother? I’m not sure how to take that.”

What the hell?

She steps off me and laughs. “Your cock has nothing to do with my brother.” She bends down and takes me in her mouth as she unzips her skirt and slips out of it while slowly working me.

She wiggles her hips, her mouth still on me, sucking it really damn good, as she pushes off her lacy, lavender panties. Then she grips my waistband. I lift my ass as she pulls them down, and then her mouth is off me, and she …

“Aw, Fuuuuck yes.”

Her mouth falls open and her head falls back as she descends on me in an excruciatingly slow manner.

“Jesus,” I hiss when she stops, and her lip trembles.

“Music,” she pants.

“Now?” I ask, thinking there is no way I want this to be interrupted.

Her lip slips from between her teeth, and she smiles. “You and music. You are so gifted. Better than them, and I’m not just saying that because I wanna get laid.” She circles her hips, trying to fit me better. “That’s your God-given talent.”

I thrust upward to remind her otherwise, and she cries out my name as she grips my knees behind her to hold herself up.

“Oh, God.”

I unbutton her shirt, and fuck, that bra is so damn sexy.

“Is this one of your designs?” I ask as I try to decide whether I want it on or off.

“Yes …” She grinds against me.

I compromise and pop them out of the lace. Her nipples are tight, little pebbles that I pinch between my fingers.

She cries out, and her hand slips off my knee. I grab her around the waist and pull her to me, bending to capture one of her nipples in my mouth.

Her head falls on my shoulder as I suck her tits and thrust into her soaked heat, holding nothing back. She comes hard and loud as I slow down, allowing her to ride out her orgasm so I can watch her.

“That’s it, Madison. Come for me. Come all over my dick,” I say, watching her, hearing her, and loving her.

“This one.” She throws a pair of black boxer briefs at me as she changes from the scarlet red bra and thong that she was just wearing while draped over my bed.

I’m doing my absolute best not to want to kill the photographer’s assistant who keeps telling her how sexy she looks and how perfect her body is as he fans her long, thick, black hair across the pillow. When he mentions that she is the second sexiest woman alive, I want to tell him he is fucking wrong and kick his ass, but Madison is on cloud nine, and I’m not going to fuck that up for her.

When he mentions how much he would be all over her if he were straight, I see Madison look at me out of the corner of her eye and smirk. She knew it all along, but I am sure she was trying to get a rise out of me while I was trying to keep my cool.

“Sure,” I say and look at them.

I can’t believe I’m really fucking doing this. It’s insane.

Jeoff walks in just as I pull them on and claps his hands, singing, “Here’s the money shot. Sexy, tall... oh, and that ass, yum!” I turn around, and he gasps. “Well, tickle me with a pretty pink feather, wrap me in a boa, and throw on some glitter. You, Mr. Jeffers, are gonna cause a situation in the pink sparkly boxers that Madison made especially for me.” He stops looking at me and turns around to look at Madison who is giggling. “Girl, please tell me he can work that thing as well as I am imagining right now.”

She grins at him. “He’s gifted.”

“Mmm, mmm, mmm.” He turns around. “I know he is.”

“Madison,” I sigh.

“You look huge—I mean, amazing.” She and Jeoff laugh, and I roll my eyes.

“Unless you wanna start paying me by the hour, let’s get this thing going.”

And we do. For two hours, I change into every pair of boxers she throws my way except the ones Jeoff tries to get me to wear.

“I don’t do pink or sparkles.”

He puts his hand on his heart and laughs. “You can’t blame a girl for trying.”

All five-foot-four of him shuffles out of the bedroom, giggling. Then he stops, kicks his foot up behind him, and holds the door jamb.

“I’ll die a happier human knowing that Billy Jeffers held my undies.”

Madison is laughing when she comes out in the white lace number that makes my heart stop. I saw photos, but they weren’t nearly as beautiful in the pictures as they are on her.

I step into my white briefs, and she smiles.

“This shot is on the balcony,” she smiles.

We walk out in our underwear to find the band and their girls are all in my kitchen. The guys whistle and cat call after me, but I ignore them and walk ahead of Madison.

When she sees the balcony, she smiles. “It’s a beautiful day.”

The shots on the balcony get a little steamier. For me, it has everything to do with the way she looks in white. For her, I can safely assume it’s being able to express herself freely in front of the people both of us unknowingly hid our deepest desires from for over a year.

The last shot inside is with eight people. Madison and I are in electric blue; Memphis and Tales are in a yellow-ish brown; Finn and YaYa are in dark blue and River and Keanna are in lime green.

Then we do an hour in the sun and sand: beach volleyball, some splashing in the water, another surrounding the Jeep she insists on, and the last around a bonfire when the sun is going down with drinks in hand. All in our underwear.

After we all go to dinner, we drop the photographer, Jessie, and her assistant, Jeoff, off at the apartment. They are going to edit for the rest of the weekend and hang out on the beach. Madison and I will be spending the weekend in her bed, watching movies, cooking, and yes, talking...a lot.

The entire next week is chaotic.

Sunday, I wake to horrible cramps, and thankfully, I am at my home to deal with … Flo. It is awkward at best trying to explain to Billy that I can’t have sex. He seems to get worked up when I’m pissy. Normally, this totally works for me since I can get pissy often, and he’s not running for the hills when I am. Total. Opposite. I have more faith that we will work out just fine because of this, but not in this instance.
