“Just shut up and fuck me, Levi.”
“Of course, as my
mate demands.”
Levi lubed his fingers before applying a generous amount
around the tight muscles. He heard Blaze expel a breath when he worked one
finger in and then a second. “Touch
yourself
, Blaze,”
Levi commanded as he
scissored
his fingers, preparing
and relaxing the muscles there for his access.
Blaze moved one hand to pump his
own cock. The sight was amazingly erotic.
“Don’t come until I tell you to.”
Levi withdrew his fingers and nudged a few inches of his cock inside Blaze.
“You hear me, Blaze?”
“I hear you, Levi.”
Blaze let out an encouraging
whimper. Levi could see Blaze slowing his hand movements and knew Blaze
wouldn’t last very long.
Gripping Blaze’s hips, Levi made
his way slowly inside Blaze.
“Harder, Levi.
I want to feel you moving inside me.” Blaze gasped when Levi shoved his way to
the hilt.
“You want me to ride you rough,
Blaze?” Levi didn’t wait for an answer. His bear was thrumming with excitement.
He withdrew his cock, giving Blaze a few seconds before he rammed his way into
him again.
Blaze mewled happily, thrusting his
ass up at him for the taking.
Pleasure began to gather at his
center again, and this time there was no stopping the gathering storm
threatening to burst inside of him. He thrust faster and deeper into Blaze,
feeling the muscles of Blaze’s asshole convulsing around his cock. Joined as
one, he could feel his bear immerse himself in a warm glow of sheer
contentment.
Levi must’ve hit Blaze’s prostate,
because Blaze let out a loud, drawn-out moan.
“You liked that?” Levi gripped
Blaze firmly and thrust into Blaze’s G-spot again.
Again, a tormented moan came from
Blaze. “Fuck yes.”
Levi thrust himself deep again,
wrangling
another moan from Blaze.
“Levi, I can’t hold it in. I’m
coming,” Blaze cried out hoarsely.
Levi could see Blaze continuing to
pump his cock. Levi knew he wasn’t far off either. Desire whirled inside of
him, close to the bursting point. “Come for me, Blaze.”
Blaze let out a final shuddering
sound of relief.
Hearing Blaze orgasm, it only took
two final thrusts for Levi to reach his. The storm inside him broke, shattering
his senses. Pleasure coursed from his core to the rest of him. Any logical
thought left in him fled as he rode out the waves of orgasm crashing through
his body.
Spent and content, Levi collapsed
beside Blaze on the polished wooden floors of their empty new apartment. “What
were you saying about furniture?” Levi teased, not surprised to feel Blaze’s
light punch on his shoulder. He gathered the other man to him, and it felt nice
to feel Blaze lying beside him, his head over his shoulder.
“Shut up. I’m using you as a
pillow,
and pillows don’t talk, Levi,” Blaze murmured,
closing his eyes.
“This one does.” Levi was amused to
see Blaze open his eyes again, annoyed expression on his face.
“Bear, I’m tempted to wipe that
idiotic grin off your face,” Blaze warned.
Levi nuzzled his neck and inhaled a
delightful lungful of Blaze’s sweet scent. “Tomorrow I’m going to take you out
somewhere horrendously expensive, present you with flowers, and fuck you in
some fancy hotel.”
Blaze shivered. “Too late for that
I think.”
“Nothing’s ever too late, Blaze.”
“Right.
It
better be a really expensive restaurant, bear. Not like the shack you took me
to the last time you tried romancing me.”
“Love you too, Blaze.”
“Fuck you, Levi.”
Levi let Blaze worm closer to him.
Epilogue
“Welcome to Havoc’s Crew, do you
have
an appoint
—” Heath eyes widened slightly with
shock.
The bear shifter who walked into
the office wasn’t the same scruffy, rough-looking one who came in a few weeks
ago. Levi Black had taken off the same hunting gear Heath often seen him in and
donned an actual honest to God suit and tie. His usually messy hair was also
tamed back with a comb and gel.
“What? I didn’t realize I looked so
awful.”
Heath watched Levi amble over to
the glass windows and give his appearance another look-see. It was funny seeing
Levi checking himself
out,
and even funnier to see him
with a bouquet of flowers in one hand.
Heath shook his head and recovered.
“Nah, man.
I was just shocked you cleaned up so well.”
“Oh. Yeah. Thanks,” Levi grumbled.
“Are you here to see Blaze? He told
me to tell you to give him a few more minutes. He’s still finishing up some
paperwork,” Heath informed Levi.
“Sure. I can wait.” Levi took a
seat on one of the couches and began to whistle a tune under his breath.
Heath picked up the intercom to
inform Blaze.
“Thanks, Heath. I’ll be right out,”
Blaze said. He sounded like he was in a hurry.
Blaze wasn’t his favorite among the
men in Havoc’s Crew, but after his run in with the Biter and its zombies, Blaze
had become much more likable.
Blaze no longer ignored him when he
walked passed Heath’s desk every morning, and Heath rather liked chatting with
Blaze when he found out they had a few things in common. Blaze was certainly
more likable than Volt. Lately, Volt had been more than unbearable than usual,
which was saying a lot.
When Heath asked if something was
bothering him, Volt told him politely to bugger off. When he tried pushing, the
bastard nearly electrocuted him on the spot.
Typical asshole Volt.
Apprentice
elementalists
never stayed long with Volt. They always fled after receiving a dose of his
temper. The only reason Heath stayed on as long as he did was because he was
hopelessly and madly in love with Volt.
Volt was like Havoc in some ways
and had a soft heart for orphan kids. Heath was one of the kids Volt had picked
up several years ago. When Havoc found out he had the talent, he urged Volt to
take him on as an apprentice, despite Volt’s reluctance.
Half the time Volt hurled abuses at
him, and the other half were spent mastering his magic for grueling hours. Volt
was a ruthless mentor, and his preferred method of choice was pushing Heath off
the metaphorical edge rather than taking tiny steps. Heath couldn’t even
remember the number of times he’d almost died under Volt’s training. Volt’s
favorite saying was “If you don’t push yourself to your limits, you’ll never
have an edge above your enemies.”
“Levi, sorry for
the wait.”
Blaze’s voice interrupted Heath’s train of thoughts.
Like Heath, Blaze did a double take
at Levi. Heath didn’t think he’d ever seen Blaze look pleasantly surprised.
Levi had a sheepish look on his
face as he held out the bouquet of flowers. “Like what you see, Blaze? Here are
those flowers you asked for.”
“More than like,” Blaze said.
He looked like a dazed man to Heath
as he accepted the flowers.
Envy rammed right into Heath. Blaze
and Levi appeared so damn happy, looking at them for long periods of time hurt.
When the pair kissed, they looked like they wanted to devour each other whole.
The passion between them was
evident. Heath wished them nothing but happiness, but they didn’t have to
flaunt their relationship so openly. Heath sometimes wondered what it was like
being wanted so badly by someone. He wasn’t sure Volt knew how he felt, even
though he’d dropped more than his share of hints here and there over the years.
Once, he would have done anything
for Volt, including his laundry, but Heath was beginning to think he no longer
cared.
Havoc and the rest of his crew were
the only family he knew and loved, but Heath didn’t think he could stand being
near and seeing Volt any longer. Volt was certainly worth a look or two, and he
could probably generate enough electricity to power the city in case of an
emergency, but he was a certifiable asshole.
For years, Heath had watched Volt
carelessly take up men and women to his apartment and dump them over a manner
of weeks or even days. Everyone knew Volt didn’t do commitments. He only wanted
fuck buddies.
Not long ago, Heath was desperate
enough to even just be another one of Volt’s one-time flings, but he didn’t
think he could survive the hurt after.
“Who’s he?” Heath remembered a
young, handsome male asking when he caught sight of Heath in Volt’s apartment
earlier that morning.
“Oh, him?
Don’t worry. Heath’s just my apprentice. Why don’t you come back here and suck
me off?”
The young man giggled before
kneeling in front of Volt in the dining room.
Standing there liked an idiot,
gripping the dirty bag of Volt’s
laundry,
the question
finally dawned on Heath.
What the hell am
I still doing here?
He had to face the truth. Volt
didn’t even see him. To Volt, Heath was nothing but an obligation Havoc forced
on him.
“Heath.
Kid, you okay
there?” Blaze was asking.
“Yeah, sorry.
Did you want something?” Heath’s head jerked to the sound of the door opening.
Even before Volt entered the
office, Heath knew Volt just by the sound of his footsteps. “I need these
mailed by the end of the today.” Volt slapped a few envelopes on his desk.
He never even looked at Heath once,
never even apologized for his poor treatment this morning, although he’d
grunted something to Blaze and Levi. Heath could hardly control his anger.
Seriously, was it so difficult to say a kind word or two? Even an occasional
simple “Thank you” would suffice. If the bastard took him for granted, then Volt
didn’t need Heath in his life.
“Mail them yourself, bastard.”
Heath wasn’t sure how when he’d gotten up from his desk or when he’d shoved the
envelopes back at Volt.
Volt narrowed his eyes. “What did
you call me, apprentice?”
“I called you a bastard, Volt. Are
you freaking deaf?” Heath ignored the electricity crackling in the air and
grabbed his bag from under his desk.
“Volt, cool off,” Blaze said.
Heath hardly heard the next few
words Volt said. It not surprisingly, sounded like curses.
“If you walk away from me without
apologizing, you better not show your face to me again, boy,” Volt warned as
Heath came around the desk.
“Hah! Good, then, because I quit
being your apprentice. Clean up your own fucking messes for a change.” Heath
slammed the door loudly behind him.
The lights in the warehouse
flickered in warning before it shorted. Not that he cared.
Volt didn’t scare him. Not anymore.
Heath was done waiting around.
From now
on he was going to make his own way. He stormed down the stairs, feeling
self-satisfied.
He never saw the hulking shadow of
a demon waiting to jump him as soon as he emerged from the warehouse until it
was too late.
