“What?” Roman asked.

“A chance to grab three hunters and a treacherous zombie if you’re quick.” Micah gave the address, and the phone went dead.

Now let me feed
. Inigo sank his fingernails into his palms.
Pull up somewhere.

“What the hell happened?” Micah asked.

“I need to feed,” he mumbled. “Can’t take more from you.”

“What happened?” Micah repeated.

Inigo swallowed his groan. “Hall went shopping while I was doing the tattoo. Somehow he bumped into the hunters. Maybe he called them. He loves your sister. Even though he’s less of a zombie than he was, thanks to the unicorn blood, she still doesn’t love him. He probably figured he could get rid of a rival and secure his own future in one fell swoop.” Inigo rushed the words out. “Place to park.” He pointed across the road. “I can find someone. You have to let me out.”

“You still have the flask. Take a sip of that.”

Inigo winced. “I gave it to Kit.”

Thick waves of distress and anger poured from Micah, and Inigo fidgeted.

“Why the fuck did you do that?”

“Because it’s not mine.”

“Grab that bag on the backseat,” Micah snapped. “You might fucking need what’s inside.”

Inigo pulled out an emergency blanket.

“Stick it in your pocket,” Micah said.

He did as he was told. He had no idea whether the blanket would work.

“I’m—”

“Not another fucking word,” Micah barked and pulled the car to a stop.

Inigo jumped out and raced away. He wasn’t safe, and he was scared. He headed for the first person he saw walking alone, a young guy, pretended to bump into him and caught hold of the man’s arm. Seconds later, Inigo’s mouth was full of O blood.

Reckless, reckless, reckless.

Seven seconds
. That was all he’d give himself. On eight, he licked the marks and sent the man stumbling on his way. On ten, Inigo leaned over and puked all the blood back up.
Oh hell.

Chapter Fifteen

Micah’s head boiled with fury and sorrow as Inigo ran from the car. Didn’t the vampire think he deserved to keep just a little of that blood after all he’d been through?
Didn’t he think about me?
Inigo could have at least hung on to the flask until all this was over. No way was Micah letting him return to Faerieland with him, but he’d wanted to be sure Inigo was safe on this side.
Damn, fuck, and shit.

He bristled when he saw a young guy stumbling away from Inigo. The man headed straight for the car, and Micah’s gaze snagged on the beatific look on his face. If he saw the same on Inigo’s, he’d introduce it to his fist. Why hadn’t Inigo fed from him? Why did he have to suck at some random stranger? He jolted when the car door opened, and Inigo slipped into his seat.

“Happy now?” Micah snapped.

Inigo said nothing.

“Call Kit,” Micah said. “Under K. Leave it on speaker.”

“Hello,” Kit said.

“Are you safe?” Micah asked.

“We’re with your parents, and your father is mumbling something about rabbits. Pixie called them, and they suggested we come here.”

“Three hunters turned up at your place, led by Hall.”

“Ah, then the vampire’s instincts were better than mine. How did you get on with the people you went to speak with?”

“A call will go out to all West Land faeries. Once the hunters are detained, we’ll go back through a portal. I think you’ll have to open it.”

“I have no idea how to do that.”

Micah guessed as much. “We’ll figure something out. Just don’t let Pixie out of your sight. Especially don’t let her use her phone.”

“Your father wants to speak to you.”

“Micah? Are you all right?”

“Yes.”
No, I’m fucking not. I’m fucking furious with the guy sitting next to me.

“Thank goodness for that,” his father said.

Despite his anger with Inigo, Micah felt himself bristling. “Not interested to know whether Inigo is all right? His swift action saved Pixie as well as Kit.”

“You know better than to trust a vampire. He saved them at what price? He wants your blood. You know that. Faerie blood is like catnip, and it’s addictive. They can’t resist. Give him time, and he’ll turn into another Philip. We nearly lost you then. Don’t—”

Micah grabbed the phone and ended the call. “Well, he’s wrong, isn’t he? You’re quite capable of resisting the call of my blood.”

“I’d already fed from you. It could have been dangerous.”

“Yeah, right.”

Inigo slumped deeper into the seat and turned to face the window. His hands were shaking, and he clenched his fists. Micah managed to keep in his groan. He had enough to deal with without having to handle a sulky vampire.

He drove back to the hotel they’d stayed in the night before. There seemed little point paying out again for a room. Inigo stayed silent as they walked down the corridor, and Micah had the sinking feeling that somehow
he’d
ruined everything and yet he didn’t know how. It annoyed him.
He
wasn’t the one who’d torn out of the car and sucked the neck of some good-looking stranger when there was a perfectly willing neck sitting next to him.

One thing he
did
know, keeping quiet and not trying to sort this out would only make things worse. Once they’d stepped into the room, he spun Inigo round and pinned him against the closed door. Inigo scowled and pushed him away.

“What the fuck is wrong?” Micah asked.

“What’s wrong is that you should fucking know what’s wrong. Get the fuck off me.”

Micah slid his hand over the bulge in Inigo’s pants. “That’s not what your dick’s saying.”

Inigo shoved him away and put his hand on the doorknob. Micah wrenched him back. They started to struggle and ended up on the floor.

“Tell me what I’ve done.” Micah panted.

The muscles in Inigo’s cheeks twitched.

“All right, I’ll tell you what you’ve done,” Micah said. “You wanted that guy’s blood more than mine. Gone off me already? You should have kept hold of the unicorn blood. You’re an idiot.”

Inigo landed a punch in his ribs, and Micah threw one back. Within moments they were rolling over the carpet, trading blows, each trying to pin the other down. They wrestled for control, twisting and rutting as they gasped into each other’s face. Micah was trying not to hurt Inigo and knew the vampire was doing the same, but no way would he yield. He managed to propel Inigo onto his back, but the vampire thrashed so hard Micah ended up beneath him.

They both had erections, both wanted to fuck instead of fight.
I will not give way
. Inigo loomed over him, his mouth inches from his. All Micah had to do was lift his head and kiss him, but he wouldn’t. They fought until Micah ached, struggled until his dick was hard enough to knock holes in wood, battered each other until he could hardly breathe. It didn’t escape his notice that for all Inigo’s lack of requirement for air, he was panting and gasping just as hard.

“For fuck’s sake, stop it,” Inigo muttered.

They lay side by side on their backs, and Micah turned his head to face him. “Whatever I’ve done, I’m sorry. Whatever I’ve said, I’m sorry. Tell me how to put things right.”

Inigo tried to get up, but Micah slammed a fist on his chest to keep him where he was.

“I can’t tell you,” Inigo said. “You have to see for yourself.” He shrugged. “Maybe it’s better to end things this way. Your family hates me. I won’t come between you and—”

Micah slapped a hand to Inigo’s mouth and reared over him. “My family hasn’t even met you. My father blames himself for what happened to me with Philip. That night, I called him before I called my brother. We’d had a row a few days before about me being with a vampire, and when I phoned him for help, he cut me off.” He lifted his hand from Inigo’s mouth. “It’s his problem, not ours. I don’t want this to end. I want you in my life. I was angry about the blood because I’m scared of losing you. I’m worried about you. Why did you dash out of the car? Why didn’t you ask me?”

“I was desperate, and that frightened me. I didn’t want to hurt you, not after…”

“You’re not Philip.”

Inigo sighed. “All vampires have the potential to be like him.”

“Not you.”

Inigo gave a brief smile.

“How can you not understand how much I care about you?” Micah whispered. “Don’t push me away because you’re scared. Do the opposite. Pull me closer.”

Inigo pushed his hand between their bodies and cupped Micah’s thickening cock. Inigo teased the line of his lips, nipping and pressing, before kissing the fuck out of his mouth. They rocked together, belly to belly, hands all over each other, pulling at clothes. The muscles of Inigo’s abdomen came alive under his fingers, contracting, shifting and all Micah could think about was getting him naked.

But when Micah’s shirt had been yanked to his wrists, Inigo wrapped his hand around the material and tightened his hold, stopping him from getting free.

“Are you really mine, faerie?”

His heart thumped. “All yours.”

After a fierce press of lips, Inigo twisted him round and pushed him to his knees, dropping down behind him, still keeping Micah’s hands in his grasp.

“Trust me?” Inigo asked.

“With my life.” His forehead hit the carpet.

Micah shuddered as Inigo’s wet tongue trailed along an exposed strip of flesh above the waist of his pants.

“You have a perfect arse,” Inigo whispered. “Perfect for fucking.”

“Stop dicking around and fuck it then.”

Inigo laughed. He reached under Micah’s belly and stroked the hard bulge in his pants. Micah let out a sound of pleasure pitched somewhere between a moan and a whimper. He was going to take an involuntary bite of carpet at any moment.

“Please,” he groaned. “Hurry up.”
Before my cock rips itself to shreds on my zipper.

When Inigo began to gently hump him, rocking against him, the hard ridge in his pants riding the seam of his butt, he could stand it no longer. He dragged his hands free of his shirt and Inigo’s grip, stripped off the rest of his clothes and lay on his back to watch Inigo.

Every movement Inigo made turned him on. He reminded Micah of a black cat, all long limbs and agile grace. Inigo stared at him with his dark-rimmed eyes and removed the rest of his clothes. Micah stroked his cock as he watched and could almost hear it purr. Inigo crouched at Micah’s feet and tongued his way up Micah’s body in a horizontal version of an erotic lap dance. He didn’t just caress with his tongue but with his whole being.

Fingers tweaked nipples, fists crushed them, and a clever tongue soothed every slight discomfort. When Inigo lapped at the hollow of his throat, Micah’s pounding heart pounded harder.

He lay on top of Micah, resting his head on one bent arm, their cocks wedged side by side, balls kissing.

“You are the best thing that has ever happened to me,” Inigo whispered. “Worth every miserable fucking day I’ve ever had until we met. You’re the beat of my undead heart, the decent soul I’ve long lost, the sexiest guy I’ve ever seen. My very own faerie.”

“Keep talking like that and I’ll come without you doing a fucking thing.”

Inigo laughed. “Lube?”

Micah sighed. “Much as I don’t want you to move—pocket of my pants.”

Inigo crawled away and came back to part Micah’s legs with his knee. Micah locked his fist around the root of his desperate cock, squeezed hard in an attempt to delay the inevitable, and found himself stroking up until his fingers collided with—
oh shit
—Inigo’s mouth. Inigo swirled his tongue around the head of the shaft, licked and flicked and teased, and Micah pumped his hips to drive more of his cock into that warm, suctioning heat.

His balls felt as though he was sitting on a vibrating washing machine—and yeah, he’d done that as a kid when the house was empty. Inigo hummed as he sucked, and Micah lifted his hips off the carpet. He couldn’t take his gaze away from Inigo. Watching his cock slide in and out of Inigo’s mouth made nerve endings pop all over his body. When Inigo twisted his mouth as he took him deep, Micah wrapped his fists in the vampire’s hair.

“Enough.”

Inigo laughed without taking his mouth off Micah’s cock. The sensation made his arse throb. Much as he loved playing, the vampire made him too desperate.

“Do it,” Micah blurted. “Me on all fours.”

Inigo lifted his head and grinned. “You top from the bottom?”

Micah managed a laugh. “Until we’ve done my bucket list.” He flipped onto all fours and raised his butt into the air.

“Is it a long list?”

“Very.” Micah let out a deep groan as Inigo slid his hands around his hips, spread his palms on the cheeks of Micah’s butt, and pulled them apart.

Another groan escaped when Inigo’s fingers settled back on his cock and caressed over his balls and onto the strip of flesh beyond. As soon as Inigo began to rub there, the breath caught in Micah’s throat. Usually, he could stand more foreplay, but apparently not with Inigo. Every kiss of his butt, every bite, every press behind his balls made his engine rev faster. He was going to come hard; it was just a matter of time.

He heard the top pop off the lube, flinched when cold liquid hit his butt, and then sighed when Inigo’s fingers soothed it against him. Inigo drew a line down the crease of his arse, teasing around his hole before he slipped a finger inside.

“Oh fuck, fuck,” Micah groaned.

It seemed the more he moaned, the harder and faster Inigo finger-fucked him. But it wasn’t enough. He let out a long sigh when the blunt head of Inigo’s cock pressed against the entrance to his body. He bore down, relaxed his muscles, and Inigo pushed straight into him, driving all his cock inside his arse until he felt the vampire’s balls smack against his.

“Only about six more inches to go,” Inigo muttered. “You okay?”

Micah laughed.

“Hey, laughter not appropriate.”

Which made Micah laugh harder. At least until Inigo began to move, leaning over his back as he pushed his cock in and out of Micah’s arse, sliding his hands down Micah’s arms, spreading his fingers over his and never letting up the onslaught of hard, fast shunts into his body.
