The first installment in
The Homicide
Files
, a series of novellas set prior to the events initiated in
A Dream of Death
.
A promotion, a new desk and a new partner. It’s been a busy
week for Lincoln Munroe. And when a call comes in from the Tobermory office of
the Ontario Provincial Police, Lincoln and his new partner, Kara Jameson, are
sent to the depths of Fathom Five National Marine Park.
Or at least one of them is. While Kara stays warm and dry,
Lincoln is tasked with recovering the body of a sport diver, found dead inside
a one-hundred-and-twenty-year-old shipwreck. But for Lincoln, it’s far from a
routine recovery. All signs point to the death being suspicious leaving Lincoln
with one pressing question: how do you investigate a liquid crime scene in
cold, deep and treacherous waters?
And in 2013…
Death By Degrees
Book Three of the Detective Lincoln
Munroe series.
A simple e-mail, short, sweet and to the point: a victim’s
name, GPS coordinates, and the fact that the body will be found in a shallow
grave. And addressed to Detective Lincoln Munroe, OPP Homicide, then signed
with the killer’s name and address.
But when an all-too-easy trace shows the e-mail to be one of
sixty, all nearly identical and sent to police services around the world,
Lincoln is recruited by Interpol—along with a few of his coworkers—to try and
track down an international serial killer who is convinced he’ll never be
stopped. In a global game of cat-and-mouse, one question remains: who’s hunting
whom?
TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED me through these endeavors, I
give you my heartfelt gratitude. You know who you are.
Once again, to hard working men and women at Streetlight
Graphics, thank you for all the hard work. And Kerry, thanks for taking my
idea, throwing it in the trash and coming up with your own idea—one that
trumped mine a hundred times over.
And to the readers, thank you will never be enough.
