My taxi came and I made my way back to Manchester Victoria, feeling like my world had collapsed on top of me. My phone rang as I boarded the train. "Hello?"

"How are you doing, Drew? This is Dillan."

"Hi Dillan," I said, my heart picking pace. Did he have information for me about the investigation? "I hear you're working on my case."

"I am indeed," Dillan said. "Could you come to my office on Monday? I'd like to go over a few things with you and assign you a bodyguard. We don't know when trouble will strike again, and we have to be ready."

"What time?" I asked.

"I understand that you work full time so we can see you in the evening. Give me your email address. My secretary will email you with the details."

I dictated my email address. When we hung up, I felt optimistic. Dillan wanted to see me. That had to mean that he had news.

As I travelled back to London a plan formed in my mind. I needed to be able to protect myself if whoever was behind Travis' murder and the harassment I'd had struck again. In fact, it'd be great if I could find some evidence that would expose the criminal, because the sooner the felon was apprehended, the better. What if I did some detective work of my own?

Group Discussion Question

Drew is artistically gifted and also has the gift of visions. She considers her visions less of a gift and more of a curse. Why?

Do you have a gift that you have viewed as more of a curse? Do you have a gift that you have not taken the time to develop?

How can you use the gifts that God has given you for His glory and for the benefit of others?

Drew's anti-chauvinism is a big part of who she is. What do you think of her views?

Who are the chauvinists in the book? Why? How does this attitude differ from Harvey's self-proclaimed chivalry? How are they similar?

Do you think that Drew was right to accept Kale's proposal after she discovered Kale's history with Jazz? Why or why not?

What do you think of Kale's secret? And what do you think Drew should do about it? Should she still marry him?
