Author Note

T
he location of Stone’s Ferry is fictitious. My imagination places it somewhere near the lower end of the lost Glenn Canyon, now covered by the waters of Lake Powell. The characters are also fictitious. Any resemblance to actual persons is coincidental. Only the canyon, the Colorado, and the town of Kanab, Utah, are real.
