His parents are Dr. Robin Medforth-Mills and Princess Elena of Romania. Nicholas is currently in the line of succession to both the Romanian and British thrones. As Crown Princess Margareta of Romania is childless, it is likely that Nicholas will eventually succeed as the head of the Romanian Royal House and pretender to the throne.
