She opened her eyes, peering at him through her lashes, abashed even as her body throbbed with pleasure. If he showed a single sign of derision, she was gone, mission accomplished or not. But he was busy donning a condom, and she watched avidly as he rolled the thin covering onto his quivering cock. Oh Pele, he was huge, and she was going to get that inside her.

“Turn over,” he ordered, already helping her move. “I want you from behind—fast and dirty. That’s right, push that gorgeous ass out at me, baby. Oh, yeah, show me your secrets, all for me.”

He put his hand on her back, a hot weight holding her there, and Lalei tossed her hair over one shoulder, peering back at him. If this hadn’t been exactly why she was here, she would have refused to assume such a submissive pose, with her ass and pussy thrusting out at him.

He groaned, stroking her labia with his fingertips, and she saw out of the corner of her eye that he was looking his fill, holding his cock with his other hand. “So hot,” he approved. “So fucking hot.”

Then he guided himself into her opening, thick and clublike, and pushed. He slid in a little way, retreated and then pushed again, forging his way into her. “You’re so tight,” he approved, his hands grasping her hips, holding her still for his next thrust. “Ah, baby…so tight.”

Again and she caught her breath as he seated himself so deep inside her it felt like he was nearly in her throat.

“That’s more than an inch, yeah?”

Lalei moved experimentally, rocking her hips, savoring the sensation of being so full of him, of surrendering her body to his male invasion. She could come again just like this, just holding him like this and stroking herself.

“Are you gonna talk, or are you gonna do me?” she asked him. She gritted her teeth at the sultry husk of her voice.

“Oh, I’m gonna do you,” he promised hoarsely, his fingers digging into her hips. “Hang on tight, baby.”

He drew nearly out of her and then thrust back in, hard and deep, abrading every nerve in her sensitive channel, just on the edge of discomfort too much too hard, so good. So very good. She dug her fingers into the quilt, and arched her back, meeting his rhythm with her own, rocking back to meet him.

He grunted with pleasure and slid one of his hands around to cup her mons, his fingertips probing where they were joined. “Oh yeah. Fuck, I can hardly believe you can take me so deep with this little pussy.”

He bent over her, enclosing her in heat and power. He was sweating, his skin hot and damp, his muscles hard as iron as he drove into her. The music swelled from the lanai as Brother Iz and his boys sang the last chorus of a rollicking Hawaiian song.

“Oh fuck,” Jack groaned. “So good. Not gonna last long… Come with me, baby.”

Jack was certainly a talker—he was practically giving a play-by-play. But wasn’t that perfect for what she wanted? As he fucked her harder, his groin slapping against her ass, the bed creaking beneath them, his probing fingers riding her clitoris, the music faded, and Lalei heard voices outside the open windows. One in particular, high and sweet, and a deeper male voice answering her.

Lalei bared her teeth ferociously. “Oh, Jack,” she cried out. “Oh yes. Just like that. Oh-hh!”

He groaned and sped up, pistoning into her like a machine. Arching her back, she gasped as pleasure hit her unexpectedly. Yes, right…there. Oh, damn, he was good at this. Too bad she was so distracted by her real agenda.

“Ah, baby,” he groaned, his voice rising too. “Fuck, I’m coming, baby.”

He gave a long, hard shudder, and Lalei bit back a scream of frustration. She didn’t want him to stop, didn’t want this to end. If he’d only keep on, she could come again. God knew he was built to give a woman the orgasm of her life.

She dug her nails into the quilt and remembered what this was really about.

“Oh yes,” she cried again, injecting just the right note of breathless wonder into her voice. “Oh, Jack, yes.”

The voices outside were silent. The music was over. Even the breeze stilled, the curtains hanging quiet. The only sound was the heavy breathing of the man moving over her, inside her, groaning in ecstasy.

When he was done, hanging over her like an athlete who’d given his all, Lalei gave him exactly five seconds. Then she wriggled impatiently.

“Can you get off me?” she whispered harshly. Her heart was pounding like a drum, and she wanted to scream—with frustration, with shame, with sheer rage. At all of them—her mother, Benton and even Jack for not making her come so hard again that she could forget everything.

He drew out of her slowly, and she flipped around, pasting a smile on her face, when really she wanted to slap him right on his flushed, handsome, relaxed face, wanted to grab him with her nails and mark him. Damn it—she’d been so
close
. And everyone had heard them going at it like animals. She couldn’t believe she’d done this.

“Mahalo, big guy. See you around.”

Sliding off the bed, she picked up her robe and slipped it on, grabbed her cami and tap pants, and hurried out the door, ignoring how gorgeous he was, leaning back on one brawny elbow, his muscular body bared to her, his cock lolling happily in the crease of his groin.

He blinked, surprise dawning on his face. “Hey, leaving already?”

She didn’t let herself turn back.

“Oo-kay then,” he muttered just before the door shut behind her.

It had gone like a charm, Lalei assured herself as she sauntered along the broad, quiet hallway toward her own room. So what if she was cringing inside at the realization that she could never go back now. So what if her pussy was empty, pulsing, still aching for fulfillment? Neither fact was important.

Keep your eyes on the prize, wahine.

Chapter Five

As the door of his room closed, Jack flopped onto his back. He let his arms fall back onto the bed, on either side of his head, staring in pleased bafflement at the ceiling fan moving slowly overhead, enjoying the air puffing softly on his damp, relaxed body.

What the hell had just happened?

He gave a huff of laughter. Well, one thing was for sure, he’d gotten laid, and it had been amazing. His body was lax with pleasure.

But with Lalei Kai-Ho’omalu? He shook his head. Wasn’t like he hadn’t wanted her from the first moment he saw her. Hell, she was even prettier than he’d remembered from David’s wedding. Whether in those little white shorts, a swimsuit, or the little strapless number she worn tonight, she’d sauntered like a Hawaiian princess through the gathering of family and friends on the beach lanai. Tonight, in a dress and sandals that he was pretty sure had cost a bundle, her dark hair a satiny swath down her back, big brown pearls in her ears and around her throat, she’d worn a snooty little smirk on her perfect face.

And even though he knew she was trouble, he hadn’t been able to take his eyes off her.

So what had he done? With a silent groan, Jack lifted his hands and scrubbed them down his face. He’d fucked her practically in public, if the sudden cessation of voices outside the window had been any indication. Hell. He wondered who that had been out on the lanai. He guessed he’d know by who was giving him and Lalei odd looks tomorrow. He hoped he hadn’t offended the Ho’omalus senior. Not like David or Daniel would care—they were too busy carrying on with their own wahines.

Well, she was just as hot as he’d imagined. But what the hell had that been there at the end? She’d been carrying on like she was having the best orgasm of her life, but he sure hadn’t felt her tight little pussy grabbing at his cock. He knew damn well what a woman’s orgasm felt like—he’d given enough of them. Was she one of those women who didn’t really like fucking, just wanted to know she could get any man she wanted?

He scowled at the ceiling. No, that wasn’t it, because she’d gone crazy when he got her off with his hand. Remembering the rapt pleasure on her face as she’d sucked on his fingers with that warm, wet mouth and the rhythmic squeezing of her hot little pussy around the fingers he’d had inside her, he felt a twitch of renewed desire. He sat up, shaking his head at his cock.

“Down, boy. You had your fun.”

Hell, he needed another drink. He peered at the clock on the bedside table. Past midnight, and outside, all was quiet. No, he needed to stay the hell in his room and get some sleep.

He got up and sauntered into the bathroom. He ran his fingers through his hair and then grinned wryly at his reflection in the mirror, at the relaxed, sleepy droop to his eyes and the flush on his cheeks.

“Damn,” he muttered. “You are one lucky dog.”

He patted his flat belly absently as he turned away. Worth all those crunches and pushups, if a woman liked what she saw.

Jack slept like a log, waking only when his room heated up with the midday sun pouring through his open window. He stumbled out of bed, groggy and thirsty, glugged a glass of cool water and ducked into the shower. Memory came back to him while he was there. He groaned and then chuckled to himself as he stood under the warm spray of water. This could be one of his most memorable Hawaiian visits ever.

But what was Lalei’s reaction going to be when they met today? He knew he’d had a lot to drink at the wedding, but what about her? She hadn’t seemed drunk or even under the influence, but would she be embarrassed that she’d thrown herself at him and that he’d accepted?

Of course, the first people Jack met when he emerged into the shadowed foyer of the guesthouse were Lalei’s mother and Choy. They stood in the graceful, two-story space before one of Daniel’s sculptures, apparently admiring the seven-foot likeness of a breeching whale, carved from gleaming wood. But he knew immediately they’d spotted him—Suzy Kai-Ho’omalu snapped him a glare of sheer poison with her lovely dark eyes, so like her daughter’s.

Choy looked him up and down and then away, as if Jack was a particularly bad piece of art, not worth noticing. His stance was rigid, his face taut.

Ignoring the embarrassment that burned in his gut and heated his cheeks, Jack nodded at the pair and sauntered through the foyer and out onto the lanai as if he hadn’t a care in the world.

Okay, the voices he’d heard while he and Lalei were getting it on had obviously belonged to them.

Jack scowled as he slapped his sunglasses on his face. Had Lalei used him to make Choy jealous, or to get rid of him? Was that why she’d faked her loud, happy girl noises there at the end and then practically shoved him away, like he’d served his purpose and she was done with him?

He blew out a hard breath. Women—who the hell knew what they were thinking? His own mother used her tears as a weapon to manipulate the men in her life, playing the “poor, fragile me” card over and over. His father had finally gotten tired of it. Sam Nord lived on his yacht in the Santa Barbara harbor, fishing and hanging out with his buddies at the yacht club. Wendy Nord was on her second husband, who was still doing his befuddled best to give her everything her heart desired.

Jack and his younger sister were united in refusing to put up with their mother’s bullshit anymore. Yeah, he couldn’t deny his formative years had left him suspicious, always searching for the subtext with women. As for Emme, his baby sis was a toughie who would deny she even had feminine emotions, much less use them as a tool.

Whatever, maybe he’d drink his breakfast. And if Ms. Honolulu tried to get him alone again, he might just spank that lovely, manipulative ass for her. If he was a twisted sumbitch for being turned on by that idea, he didn’t much give a damn.

The loungers were draped with a scattering of brightly hued beach towels, and full of people in swim suits.

Lalei had beaten him down to the beach. She was just emerging from the water, her arms raised to lift her wet hair from her shoulders. The ass with which he was rapidly becoming obsessed swayed gracefully as a model’s as she picked her way up across the hot sand to the open-air shower set near the dock.

Jack watched her tip her head back under the spray, his gaze traveling down over her delicate curves barely covered by a silver bikini. Heat furled low in his groin, and he looked away, annoyed. So what if he knew what lay beneath those scraps of silver? Lots of other guys probably did too.

The drink cooler sat behind the chairs, shaded by the palms and partially screened from view of those on the lanai as well. Padding down to it on his bare feet, Jack bent to open the lid. He froze as he heard hushed voices from the loungers directly on the other side of the palms.

“Are you kidding me? Jack and
Lalei
?” Claire’s voice was full of disbelief.

“Yup.” That was Bella, a giggle in her voice. “Joel and I heard them from the lanai. She was really enjoying whatever he was doing, too.”

“Shh-sh, you two, that’s enough,” Melia chided. “They’re both our guests.”

“Well, I don’t get it,” Claire muttered. “She’s gorgeous, yeah, but…”

“But here’s the best—or worst—part,” Bella insisted gleefully. “Her mom and that dude she dragged along were right in front of us. I thought they’d turn to stone right there.”

“Holy aloha. Then what happened?” Claire breathed.

“I don’t know,” Bella said, a pout in her voice. “Joel made me leave.”

The heat of sheer embarrassment crawled up Jack’s face, and he groaned silently.
