CHAPTER
ELEVEN

Campbell

Tank

s
tight rein on his control was getting to be too much. How could he constantly
walk away from me? His cock strained against his jeans letting me know he
wanted me as much as I wanted him. Yet he still stopped us from going any
further.

Stupid man!

I bypassed the mirror as I started the
shower not wanting to see how bad I looked after seeing Tank

s
rough appearance. The shower did little to wash away the anxiety I was feeling
as the memories of the last 24 hours continued to play through my mind. No
amount of scrubbing seemed to make me feel clean. Just the thought of Crazy Z
and then Blaze and Greasy touching me made my skin crawl. The only relief I
felt was when I imagined Tank

s touch along my body.

After I finished, I wrapped a towel
around my body at the same time I heard the sound of pipes in the distance. The
panic rose as my breathing grew faster and faster as the roar of the bikes got
louder, bringing them closer and closer to me. Spots appeared in the corners of
my eyes as I became light headed. With my back against the wall, I slumped to
the floor. The coolness of the tiles reminded me that I was behind a locked
motel door. I quickly pressed the lock on the bathroom door, making it two
locked doors between me and the riders.

The moment that always followed when
pipes were laid to rest used to be my favorite thing in the world. Now the
deafening silence filled me with a dread as thick as motor oil. I felt coated
in it as I curled in on myself.

A few minutes later I heard the motel
door opened followed by Tank

s unmistakably deep voice,
then a soft knock on the door.

Sunshine,

he called out. I shook my
head in response.

Sunshine please let me in.

Where was kick ass
Campbell? Obviously she had washed down the drain.

My body trembled as I slowly uncurled
it and turned the knob unlocking the door. I curled back up as the door opened
slightly. Tank stuck his head in, looking around until he found me up against
the tub in the corner.

Jesus, Sunshine, what the
fuck?

he uttered, squeezing
himself into the bathroom.

I . . . I . . . I showered
. . . and . . . and . . . the noise . . . the bikes . . . and . . .

I trailed off again as my
voice cracked. My breathing erratic, my mind out of control as images of the
last day assaulted me. Tears threatened to spill over as I pressed my forehead
into my knees. I rocked back and forth, back and forth.

Shhh, Sunshine,

Tank whispered as he
wrapped his strong arms around me, lifting me off the floor and onto his lap as
he sat on the closed toilet.
Safe.
I never knew what that felt like
until now. Before it was an empty word that meant you were protected, shielded.
Now it was a physical word that represented Tank

s
arms, his body; a haven from everything but him.

No one, and I mean no one,
is going to hurt you ever again. I swear to you.

His forehead rested against
mine. When I looked up at him, he leaned in, lightly brushing his lips against
mine. When he pulled away his eyes were the most amber I had ever seen them,
the truth shining through.

Ok,

I replied after I stared
into his eyes a moment longer.

I believe you.

Tank

s
thumb wiped away the tears that flowed too easy down my cheeks.

I have clothes for you,

he said.

The
guys brought us some food. Get dressed then you can eat. I got some shit to do
and then I will be back.

Ok,

I agreed as he stood and
lowered me to my feet. Once I was steady he stepped back out of the bathroom,
but immediately opened it again with a bag of clothes.

I

ll
be right back.

His
whispered words giving me the strength I needed to leave this bathroom.

Ok,

I replied. I heard the
motel door close again as I got dressed in the matching cotton bra and panty
set Logan sent, along with a pair of cut-off jeans and a black tank top. I
avoided the mirror once again as I left the bathroom, not wanting any more reminders
since my mind seemed to have perfect recall. With no brush in the bag, I finger
combed my hair as I walked over to the other bags left on the small round
table.

The smell of fast food goodness made
any depressing thoughts disappear as my stomach growled. I pillaged the
McDonald

s
bag finding a few Quarter Pounders and a large french fry. I inhaled the
burger, only stopping to wash down bigger bites with the most amazing tasting
Coke in the world.

Why is it that Cokes taste better from
McDonalds?
Maybe it was the added carbonation or the
wider, striped straws. Whatever it was, McDonalds had to keep doing it because
this was some damn good shit.

The thought made me laugh as the belch
I was working on finally came out. Of course, Tank chose that moment to walk
through the door. I was so entranced by the feast before me I did not even hear
the key in the lock.

Glad to see you eating,

chuckled Tank as he closed
and locked the door behind him.

So good,

I replied as I grabbed
several fries and shoved them in my mouth. I looked up to see Tank smiling down
at me. I put my hand up to cover my mouth full of food as I asked,

Join
me?

Soon,

was all he said as he
walked into the bathroom and closed the door. I heard the water in the sink and
then soon after the toilet flushing. Tank was back out before I was able to get
another mouthful down.

Slow down Sunshine,

he teased as he put one
hand on the bed and kissed my forehead.

So good,

I moaned. My stomach
flopped as I saw his eyes darken at the sounds I was making.

I bet,

said Tank, adjusting
himself as he walked back to the door.

Hey Tank,

I called wanting another
moment with him.

How did you find me?

A little bit of luck and those
guys being stupid as shit.

His answer made me snicker.

That

s
it?

I asked, knowing there was
more to the story.

Luck and stupidity?

Well,

he answered,

there
was a little bit more. I saw the tail lights in the distance and was able to
free my fucked up bike from the rail. I sped after the car, keeping the lights
in sight as I was able to get closer and closer. I eventually saw it pull off
the highway. I drove around this small town checking out the three motels. The
dumb asses picked the first one off the interstate, but me thinking with my
brain started at the furthest away one first and worked backwards. I could kick
myself for wasting so much time. Once I found their truck, I waited until they
made an appearance before storming in.

How is your bike?

It has seen better days.
Knox brought his truck so we can take it back with us.

Tank pointed to the
dresser.

I left some pain meds on the counter. Make
sure you take them.

Ok.

Get some rest. We roll out
really soon.

He closed the door before I had a
chance to ask him any questions. The simple trip to throw away my trash turned
into quite the adventure as I groaned and grimaced my way over to the trashcan.
After I used the bathroom and took two pills, I collapsed back into bed. I never
remembered being so tired. My thoughts drifted to Tank and our mini make out
session. The ache between my legs felt good as my hand traveled to where his
was earlier. I squeezed my thighs hoping for relief as I rubbed my fingertips
back and forth over my sensitive nub. I came quickly like I did every night
when I thought about Tank. The medication went to work quickly, the ache of my
body slowly quieted down and sleep claimed me. My eyes drifted close with
thoughts of Tank turning into the naughtiest of dreams that I hoped to make
real one day soon.

Tank

The sun was starting to set when Worm,
Tru, Knox and I finished cleaning the motel room.  That room had never been so
clean in its life. There was no trace of the two Hellhounds or Campbell in that
room. Thank God we were on the side facing the woods and not the road. Worm and
Tru had already left to take care of the Hellhounds, while Knox stayed to help
me load my bike into the pick-up he drove so he could take us back.

God, I wanted nothing more than to be
back at the clubhouse right now. I needed time to think about what happened
next between Sunshine and me. My resolve to keep her at arm

s
length was not working, because all I wanted was my Sunshine curled up next to
me in bed. But that line of thinking had to stop. I learned that after Colton
arrived at the clubhouse and told them what had happened, the club went on lock
down.  Everyone

s families were brought in
and no one was allowed in or out for any reasons. Even the regular sweet butts
were brought in because Prez did not know how far gone Crazy Z was and who he
would hurt to get info on the club. It sounded like a shit show and had
disaster written all over.

Ready to go?

Knox asked as we both
pulled on the cords holding my bike in place.

Yeah,

I said.

Let
me jump in the shower and get Campbell, then we can roll.

Don

t
you mean Sunshine, lover boy?

Shut the fuck up man!

I pushed him as I walked
past him.

What,

he teased,

don

t
find me funny no more?

Funny looking maybe.

His laughter followed me up
the steps of the motel.

Asshole.

I walked up the flight of stairs and
neared the motel room when I heard Campbell screaming. I barreled into the room
with my gun drawn, scanning it before running to the bed and taking Sunshine in
my arms.

Shh, Sunshine. I got you.
It was just a dream. You

re safe.

Campbell buried herself
into my chest as she tried to slow down her breathing. After several deep
breaths, she looked up at me with tears in her eyes.

Tank.

Her voice cracked as tears
ran down her cheeks.

I

m
here. No one else. Just me,

I soothed. I pulled her onto my lap so that
she straddled me as I rubbed circles on her back.

I
got you,

I assured her.  I would
hold her as long as she needed. After a little while, Sunshine sat straight up
as she took in my appearance.

You look like shit,

she teased. A small smile
on her face.

I feel like shit.

And you smell delightful.

Well aren

t
you the comedian.

Her smile grew bigger.

Everything
is cleaned up so I am going to jump in the shower so we can get out of here.
