Read Captured: Hunted Love #3 Online
Authors: Aden Lowe
Kellen rolled up the clubhouse, still furious with himself. That whole fucking job had been doomed from the start. He should have followed his instincts. Now four good Brothers lay dead. And while he knew Barger killed them, he held Alexander Blackwell ultimately responsible. Sure he'd like to get his hands on Barger. But with that unlikely, he'd settled for revenge on Blackwell.
The bastard had been released on bond and come home to find Kellen waiting. And had the balls to
brag
about his role in the whole thing, as if it had a successful outcome. Too disgusted to waste the energy killing the idiot, Kellen had beaten him. Alexander Blackwell now knew what a
real
outlaw was all about.
Being home always felt good, but this time, he missed something other than the deceased Hell Raiders. He grabbed his saddle bags and went into the house. Several people hung around but no one dared speak to him. He must look as nasty as he felt.
He headed straight for the shower. Maybe the hot water would carry away some of his bad mood. Somehow he doubted it.
Standing under the spray, he should be consumed with the need for revenge, but that fire was strangely absent. Had he lost his killer instinct? Would he have to leave the MC? He couldn't be the President and not have the balls to do what needed doing.
His muscles relaxed a little, some of the tension leaving. It didn't matter. None of it. He finished up and dried off, shaved carefully and headed naked for his room. In the hall, a nameless woman eyed him hungrily. They all wanted to be the President's Ol' Lady.
He looked her up and down and she gave a hopeful smile. "Sorry, honey, I'm taken." He pushed through the door into his room
What the hell made him say that?
His phone buzzed and his dick twitched with anticipation when Vicky's number came up. "What are you wearing?"
"I'm stuck at a stupid function my mother is holding. I snuck away to call you."
"I'm glad you did." Should he tell her he was home? An idea struck him. "Maybe you'll be able to get away later."
"I doubt it. This thing will last until evening. Any idea when you'll be home? No other pussy?"
He laughed a little. "No, no other pussy." He stared at the page in his little notebook with her home address. Tracking her down was the best idea he'd had in a long while. "Hey, I need to go take care of something. Be ready for me to call you in about two hours, okay?"
She sighed. "Okay. But hurry. If the Senator tries to look down my dress one more time, I might cut his throat."
Kellen laughed. "I'll hurry. Talk to you soon." He ended the call and dressed in a hurry.
He left the clubhouse in a much better mood than he'd entered it and climbed back on his bike. The almost two hour ride meant nothing and passed like a heartbeat.
The shaded street of the rich neighborhood filtered traffic noise from the houses, but he made sure they could all hear him, letting the Harley scream.
He paused at the curb and stared up at the big three-story Victorian. The driveway with its mini-parking lot was packed with maybe a dozen high dollar vehicles. The kind his boys would love to boost. He'd found the right place. Might as well go see her.
He turned into the driveway and rode up past all those fancy cars with his heart in his throat. Damn. He'd never been nervous about a woman before.
At the door, rather than dismount and ring the bell, he gunned the engine. The door opened in a matter of seconds and a man in a black tux stood there with a disapproving scowl. "Yes?"
"Wait." A female voice came from within. "That's for me, I think." She came forward, a stunning vision in royal blue silk and diamonds.
"Hey, little girl. You ready for the ride of your life?"
She turned to the man, whose jaw hung open. "Tell Mother I had to leave and give her my apologies." She bent and gave the hem of the silk dress a hard tug and the seam parted to the top of her thigh.
Kellen watched, fascinated, as she strode from the house in her designer high heels.
"I'm more than ready." She slung her leg over the back of his bike and pulled her hips up close. "Let's see what kind of trouble we can find."
He had a feeling he could just point them wherever the headlight wanted to go, and not stop until the tank was empty, and then just start over. Foolish. No woman was worth changing the way he did things.
Or was she?
The End
This concludes the Hunted Love series. I hope you enjoyed, and if you have a moment, please leave an honest review on Amazon.com and Goodreads.com.
If you missed the other books in the series, pick them up:
When a legendary predator decides prize horses should be on his menu, Kate takes the advice of her foreman and hires a big game hunter to track the mountain lion and remove the threat. The hunter arrives to take up the trail, but instead of the seasoned older man she expects, he's young and impossibly sexy.
Freshly back from deployment to Afghanistan as a special forces operative, Jakob needs to clear his head of the horrors of war. When his uncle dies, Jakob steps in to hunt down a mountain lion on the other side of the state. The prospect of several days in the wilderness with only his horses and dogs for company sounds like the ideal opportunity. Except the infuriating female rancher insists on going along for the ride.
Bounty hunter Falon Harris is asked to go after outlaw biker Tom Kellen and tracks him to where he's hiding out in Stags Leap, KY, laying low and waiting for the heat to pass. Rita James operates a busy tavern/grill and occasionally rents out the little camper trailer on her back lot. Figuring the tavern is the most logical place to watch for Kellen, Falon rents the trailer for a week. The first night, while he's having dinner and watching everything, Kellen shows up and starts giving Rita a hard time. The bartender puts a stop to it, but Falon gets the idea it's happened before. Knowing Kellen's past, he knows the biker won't take no for an answer for long.
What's Next?
My story idea file grows daily, leaving me with a very difficult decision: What should I write next? Gladiator? Modern Pirate? Soldiers in the future? Or maybe a Paranormal? Sci-fi? Or any one of the hundreds of other ideas I have plotted and waiting their turn—all romance, but covering various romance sub-genres. I'll decide when I open a new document and start writing.
