“Yeah, baby,” Brendan growled, continuing
to massage her g-spot. “Oh God, you’re so beautiful. Open your mouth.” She did
as he asked, then gasped as he slid a long piece of ice between her lips,
nearly swallowing it whole. “Suck on it,” he commanded. “I want to watch you
suck my cock the way you used to.”

Oh my God.
She could hardly believe how erotic
those words sounded coming out of Brendan’s mouth. He’d never talked to her
like this before during their love making; back then they hadn’t spoken much at
all; it had all been tender touches and kisses and bodies sliding together. But
this… this was a whole different level. It forced her to bare her soul to him,
to open herself up and put herself in his hands, trusting that he wouldn’t hurt
her. Closing her eyes, she did as he commanded, sucking on the piece of ice,
pushing it in and out of her lips like she would his cock, until her lips were
numb and the ice was melted and dripping down her chin. She hardly noticed the
cold though; not with the way he was working his magic between her legs,
pushing her to the edge and pulling her back, over and over and over again.

“Do you wanna come?” he asked. “Are you
ready to come all over my hand?

“Yes,” she sobbed. “Yes, Brendan,
please.” She pushed herself into his hand again, straining; she was so close…

“Yeah, that’s it.” He pumped his fingers
faster. “Come for me. I want your juices all over my hand,” he growled, and it
was enough to finally send her over the edge, splintering into a thousand
pieces as the orgasm crashed over her. Screaming his name, she rode his
fingers, pumping out every last bit of delicious sensation she could until she
collapsed back on the bed, spent and exhausted and utterly satisfied.

“Mmm.” She heard him lick his fingers,
and then he was pressing one of them into her mouth. “You came good. Taste it.”
She sucked his finger, tasting herself, and she groaned. “Did you like that?”

“Yeah,” she breathed, then added,
“Brendan. I liked it.”

“Good.” She felt his hands slide around
to the back of her head, and then suddenly the blindfold was gone and she could
see him again, looming up over her. His blue eyes were glowing, creating an
even starker contrast than usual between his thick, dark lashes and his pale
skin. “I want you to see me now,” he said, touching her cheek with his long
fingers that were still slick from her wetness. “Want you to watch me while I’m
fucking you. Can you do that?”

“Yes, Brendan.” She hooked her legs
around his hips to pull him closer. “I want you to.”

“Want me to what?”

“Fuck me.”

He slapped her ass, but this time the
shock of pain sent a pleasurable tingle through her pussy. “What was that?”

“Fuck me, Brendan,” she gasped. “Please.”

“Mmm. That’s better.” He took his cock in
his hand, then slid the tip along her naked slit, up and down, up and down
until she was trembling with the force of her desire. Just when she thought she
was going to scream, he finally slid himself inside her, burying his cock to
the hilt.

Groaning with relief, Callie crossed her
ankles at the back of his hips, pushing him even deeper inside her. “Holy
shit,” he gasped. “You’re so tight. God.” Bracing his hands on either side of
her shoulders, he began moving inside her, taking it slow. Sweat shone on his
skin, drawing attention to the ridges of muscle in his arms, his chest, his
abs. She wanted to lean up and trace the lines with her tongue, but her
hands
were still tied above her head, so she settled for just leaning back and
admiring the view.

“You’re so beautiful,” he rasped, his
eyes shining as he looked down at her. “Even more beautiful than I remembered.”
Ducking his head down, he took one of her nipples in his mouth, swirling his
tongue around it and sending little bolts of pleasure straight to her center.
She arched her back as the pleasure built in her core again, urging him faster
with her hips until he was slamming into her, the entire bed shaking with the
force of their lovemaking. The neighbors on the other side of the wall could
probably hear her, but she didn’t care, didn’t care about anything except this
moment, as the she crested again, a second orgasm crashing down on her.

“Yeah,” he rasped as her muscles clamped
down around his cock involuntarily. “That’s it. Come for me.” He groaned then,
and she felt him come inside her, the hot liquid squirting as his cock pulsed
against her walls. She didn’t know how long it lasted, but eventually he let
out a long sigh, then rolled over, pulling her against his side.

“That was fucking great.”

Callie nodded, trying to make herself
comfortable against him, and then she realized her hands were still tied above
her head. “Playtime’s over,” she reminded him.

“Oh! Right.” Laughing, he untied her,
pressing kisses against her slightly sore wrists. “I’m so sorry, honey. I
forgot.”

“It’s alright.” Smiling, Callie wrapped
her hands around his waist, enjoying the feel of his bare skin against her even
though they were both slick with sweat. “I enjoyed it.”

“Did you?” He stroked her back, his hand
sending ripples of warmth through her as it traveled lazily up and down her
spine.

“Mmm.” She closed her eyes, snuggling
into him. A yawn escaped from her lips, and she thought that, given a few
moments, she might actually drop off to sleep.

“Enough to do it again?”

Her eyes popped open. “What?”

Frowning, Brendan turned to his side,
staring at her with those beautiful pale blue eyes. “You weren’t thinking that
we would sleep together this one time and then we would just go back to
business as usual, were you?”

“Umm…” Callie swallowed. The truth was,
she hadn’t really been thinking much at all, not since he’d ravished her in the
park. “I… I’m not saying it wouldn’t happen again, I just don’t want to make
promises. I’m not committing to anything,” she said firmly.

“Hmm.” He slid his hand down her naked
hip and squeezed her thigh possessively. “So what you’re saying is that you
don’t want to make anything official, but if we were, somehow, to fall back
into bed again, you wouldn’t necessarily protest?”

“That sounds about right.” Callie bit her
lip.

“Then that’s all I really need to know.”
He tucked her back into his side again, holding her gently, and soon his
breathing settled into a slow, steady rhythm that told her he was asleep.

Smiling, Callie curled up into him and
closed her eyes.

Chapter
Eight

A week later, Callie was sitting in her
office at four o’clock on a Friday, drumming her fingers against her desk as
she stared down at her cell phone. She’d spent the last fifteen minutes
debating whether or not she should call Brendan and ask him if he was doing
anything tonight, and she was no closer to making a decision than she had been
since she’d started the internal conversation in her head.

She hadn’t heard from him, or at least
not on a personal level, since the night he’d taken her to bed and made hot, kinky,
passionate love to her, the way she’d secretly always dreamed of but been too
afraid to ask for. He’d already left by the time she’d woken up that morning,
leaving behind a signed copy of the contract and an origami rose.

She’d taken the contract to her office to
sign and fax that morning, and left the rose by her bedside table, which she’d
stared at every night before she went to bed. It was the only reason she wasn’t
completely furious with him; origami roses had been another tradition of his;
whenever they’d been together, he would often leave her love notes, just for
fun, that were wrapped up into an origami rose. She would delight in unfurling
his creations carefully so she could read what was inside, and then would
always try to fold the paper back into place. She’d only succeeded doing so a
handful of times; crafts had never been her thing, though strangely Brendan
took to them like water. He loved to use his hands to make things, which she
supposed was why he was such a good guitarist.

She wasn’t sure if she hadn’t opened the
flower because she was afraid to damage it, or because she was afraid to know
what he’d written inside it.

So what, did you think he was going to
write you some nasty note and dress it up with an origami flower?
A voice inside her head
snapped.
After everything the two of you opened up to each other about that
night? Get a grip, girl.

Callie sighed. That was the problem. She
couldn’t seem to get a grip. Not where Brendan was concerned.

“Hellooooooo!” Lucinda’s voice rang out,
distracting Callie from her dilemma. Looking up, her eyes widened as her
assistant sailed into her office with a huge bouquet of flowers and a large box
wrapped in blue gift paper and tied with what looked very much like a satin
bow. “Special delivery for one Callie Richardson, A.K.A., extremely lucky
woman!!!”

“Oh my God.” Callie’s jaw dropped as she
slowly rose from her seat. “Lucinda, what on earth…?”

“Please,” Lucinda scoffed, setting the
package onto the table and placing the bouquet next to it, which had already
been arranged and set in an equally huge crystal vase, “Don’t even act like
you’re surprised. There’s only one person this could possibly be from, and I
can tell the way you’ve been looking at your phone all week that you’ve been
dying to see him.”

“Brendan,” Callie breathed, touching the
petals on one of the peach colored roses. The bouquet was bursting with all
kinds of flora, including foxgloves, cala lilies, birds of prey, pink and peach
colored roses, and more, the arrangement clearly made to reflect the panorama
of colors produced by a setting sun. Her fingers found a note buried beneath a
spring of baby’s breath, and she pulled it out, reading the bold, slanted
script that flowed across the creamy card stock.

I had such a wonderful time watching the
sunset with you in Central Park,
he wrote
, so I thought I’d send you something to remind
you.
Her lips curled into a small grin even as she blushed a little at the
scandalous, but oh-so-sexy memory of what they’d done at the park
. Dinner’s
at 6:00pm tonight, and I’m sending someone to pick you up at 5:30 from your
place. Don’t worry about finding something to wear – I’ve sent something
along so you won’t have to spend too much time searching through your closet. I
hope you like it.

“Well?” Lucinda demanded. “What’s it
say?”

“Brendan’s invited me to dinner tonight,”
she said. “He’s sending a car to pick me up at 6:00.”

“I knew it!” Lucinda squealed, her smile
practically glowing. She pointed at the box with greedy looking eyes. “You
going to do a little show and tell over there, missy?”

Callie eyed the box speculatively, then
gave Lucinda a crooked grin. “I think I’d rather wait until I get home on this
one.”

“Oooh…” Lucinda’s eyes sparkled as she
gave Callie a knowing grin. “I see how it is. Well, you’ll definitely have to
tell me all the dirty details when you get back. No exceptions!”

Callie picked up the box, then went to
grab her coat hanging on a hook by the door. “I’ll text you later,” she said
with a wink.

“Promise!”

Callie managed to keep her curiosity
under control until she’d gotten back to her apartment. Setting the package on
her bed, she tore off the paper, revealing a long, rectangular white box that
looked like the kind you got from department stores during the Christmas season.
Except, of course, it wasn’t Christmas yet, and department stores didn’t
normally do wrapping outside of the Christmas shopping season.

Guess that’s what money buys
, she thought, lifting the
lid, and then gasped. Inside lay a gorgeous, satin red dress that looked so
soft she was afraid to touch it. Taking a deep breath, she reverently lifted it
out of the box, allowing the fabric to tumble down to the floor. It was knee
length in the front, with a longer train in the back, and featured a halter top
with a plunging neckline, as well as ruched fabric around the abdominal area.
In other words, guys were going to be staring a whole lot at her boobs, and
weren’t going to notice the little belly she’d developed during the last month
and a half or so of extra sweets and pizza. Turning the dress, she noticed it
was backless, which meant she would have to fish out the backless bra from
somewhere – hopefully it still lived somewhere in the bottom of her
underwear drawer.

I hope I have a shawl for this
, she thought to herself as
she set the dress aside, then found there was no need to worry – a
matching black satin wrap was also in the box, along with a pair of black
stilettos.
Man, he really thinks of everything
, she thought, smiling a
little as she examined the shoes. They were Louboutins, which meant that the
soles matched the color of her dress perfectly. She set both items on the
floor, then turned back to the box, intending to dispose of it.

And gasped.

Also nestled in the folds of tissue paper
were two silver boxes – no doubt containing jewelry – and also what
looked like some pretty fancy lingerie. Ignoring the boxes, she lifted the
clear plastic box containing a pair of heart-shaped pasties first, realizing
that there was no need to search for her backless bra after all – he
really did have her covered, or at least as covered as he wanted her. She
pulled out what looked like a lacy thong, and then blushed when she realized
the crotch had been cut out. There were also a pair of white and red garters,
and a pair of black fishnets that were clearly meant to go with them. The
silver boxes did contain jewelry – tear dropped earrings and a matching
pendant, both of which she highly suspected were made with real gold and
rubies.

Stunned, she dropped down onto the bed.
These clothes weren’t simply fancy evening attire; they were the clothes a
brazen woman would wear, someone who was confident with men both inside and
outside the bedroom. Clearly Brendan was expecting her to play the vixen
tonight; but was she going to be able to pull it off? Part of her worried that
she would look like a fool; that when she walked into whatever club or
restaurant she was expected at tonight, that everyone would look at her and
know that she didn’t belong in these clothes. That she wasn’t confident enough
in her sexuality to wear them.

Worse, she worried that Brendan would
know, and that he would change his mind about wanting her.

What the hell are you talking about?
A voice in her head snapped
.
He’s the one who’s trying to woo you, not the other way around. If he looks at
you tonight after you put on this getup and decides he doesn’t want you, that’s
his problem, not yours. You sure as hell didn’t ask for him to chase you.

Firming her shoulders, Callie stood up
and took a good look at herself in the mirror. She was curvy, there was no
doubt about it. So maybe she wasn’t vixen material, but that sure as hell
didn’t mean she wasn’t good enough for Brendan. She’d put on Brendan’s outfit
and own it, but on her terms. And if that wasn’t good enough, so be it.

Stripping off her clothes, she headed for
the shower. She didn’t have a lot of time, and damn if she wasn’t going to look
perfect.

Brendan took another sip of wine and
tried not to glance impatiently at his watch… again. He was sitting on a
surprisingly comfortable wicker couch on the Sky Terrace at the Hudson Hotel,
his feet propped up on a matching ottoman, staring up at moon that shone
through the veranda roof overhead. Trying not to be worried about the fact that
Callie was nearly fifteen minutes late, he looked out at the view, where he
could see the Hudson River shimmering in the moonlight just beyond the New York
City skyline. It was a breathtaking view, one of his favorites in the city, and
he wanted to share it with Callie tonight.

Did she not receive the invitation?
he wondered.
Or worse,
just decided to ignore it?
Maybe she was sitting at home right now,
kicking her feet up on her own coffee table, maybe even enjoying pizza and a
movie with a friend. Or maybe even another man.

No, that didn’t seem right
, he decided. His driver would
have called to let him know if she’d refused to come. And there was no way she
was seeing another man right now; not after she’d fucked him only a few days
ago. His Callie just wasn’t that kind of girl. More than likely, she’d probably
spent too much time getting ready, even though he’d taken the guesswork out of
her wardrobe by picking her outfit for her tonight.

Part of him relaxed at the thought. He
liked the idea of Callie taking extra time to look nice for him, even if it
meant he had to cool his heels a little longer. Oh man, he couldn’t wait to see
her in that red dress. If she looked even half as good as he’d envisioned when
he’d seen it in that 5th Avenue shop window…

Click, click, click
. The sound of stiletto heels
on the white tile distracted him, and he looked over. “Brendan?” Callie’s
sultry voice called out of the darkness.

“Callie?” Rising, Brendan squinted his
eyes, trying to figure out where she was; the lighting out here was dim, which
provided great ambiance, but also made it hard to see approaching figures. A
moment later her curvy silhouette appeared, and then she stepped into the warm,
amber glow from the lights.

His heart stopped, and for a moment, he
could only stare. “God, you look great. So fucking beautiful.”

“Is that right?” Callie’s smile was
flirtatious, her lips painted the same red as the halter dress, which hugged
her curvy body like a second skin. She stroked the teardrop ruby pendant
resting between her breasts, and his mouth actually watered at the sight of
those round globes, which her dress showed off to perfection. “Well, I did have
a little help from the post man. He delivered a special package for me.”

“Well I hope you found everything
you needed in that package,” he said, closing the distance between them in just
a few strides. He placed his hands on either side of her waist and ran them up
and down her sides, enjoying the feel of her satin-covered hips beneath his
palms.

“Well, I have to say I’m finding things a
little breezier than usual,” she admitted with an affectionate squeeze of his
shoulder, “but I’m getting used to it.”

“Oh yeah?” His blood pumped a little
faster at the thought of her bare pussy exposed to the air, and he slid his
hand lower toward the hem of her skirt.

“Uh-uh.” She smacked his hand,
effectively stopping him in his tracks. “I don’t believe you’ve earned that yet
tonight.”

Brendan grinned sheepishly, looking at Callie
with newfound admiration. She was being more brazen, taking more control than
he was used to, and it was really turning him on. “My apologies. Let me make it
up to you, my lady.” Taking her by the hand, he pulled her beneath the canopy,
leading her to the veranda railing, where a table for two had already been set.

“Wow,” she said, looking around the
veranda as he seated her. “This is like a cross between a boudoir and a secret
garden.” He watched her sparkling eyes travel over the brick columns covered
with ivy, the plethora of potted plants sculpted into artistic shapes and
scattered between the furniture. The veranda was narrow in width, but it
stretched all around the side of the hotel, with winding pathways leading from
canopy to canopy. Their particular canopy was set up with a dining table, a
couch, ottoman and lounge chair, and even a bed that was piled with decorative
throws and pillows. “How come it’s so quiet?
