Pacing impatiently by the main doors of the mansion, Kelton waited for the car to return. Kayleigh had wanted to stay with him, but she was looking exhausted and he sent her to bed. As much as he would have liked to have her with him at this time, she was pregnant with their child and that had to come first. Their wellbeing was a priority for him.

Kelton knew that he was going to have to do something about the future. He was being pulled in too many directions. None of it worked well with being a successful warrior. He was going to have to think seriously what he wanted and move forward with his life. Kayleigh, their baby, Cala, Rhian, the warriors, the academy and the council all wanted a piece of him and there didn’t feel like there was enough of him to go around.

He was going to have to choose.
