Chapter 2
1

Dallah and I sit in silence for a few moments before I say to her,

“Dallah my head and heart feel like they’re going to explode, Can you tell me what happened to Angus, we saw him die. He was dead!”

“I’m not sure, I have never heard of such a gift. I can feel your love for him Zara, when you look at him I see it in your eyes. It has to have been your heart calling to his, your words at his body begging him to come back. I think you’re connected to Angus. You won’t leave him. Even now you’re staring at him while I’m talking!” She jokes.

I look back at her with a weak smile.

“I’m sorry, I think you’re right I do feel a connection to him in a way, I can feel his need for me and I don’t want to leave him. I need to know he will be alright, my heart is aching seeing him this way.”

“Your emotions as a Charmer are not the same as a human Zara, yours are much more powerful. This is why you feel this way to him. When he awakes, and he will, you need to make sure he tells no one. If anyone finds out you’re a Charmer, with powers to bring back a life that has been lost, the beating of a heart. Ah Goddess … I need you safe, the brothers’, Parrise and now Angus, we need you safe!” She whispers to me passionately as her tears threaten to spill. I stand and take her in my arms hugging her tightly, just as she needs.

“I promise I’ll do my best to stay safe, but you have to for me also. I know there something going on with you Dallah; I can feel you hiding it pushing it down. Let me help you?”

“Parrise is coming, I need to go check on the pack brothers’. I will be back tomorrow. Don’t hesitate to call if you need me.”

Before I can answer, she has gone. I w
ant her so badly to trust in me. Whatever the problem is, I want her to share with me so I can help her in some way, anyway. I can’t push her any more then I have, I want to ease the pain she has in her heart. Why won’t she let me in?

Parrise walks in looking at me to Angus.

“Little one, his heart is beating stronger from yesterday.” He looks to me studying my face.

“What’s wrong love?” He says as he walks to stand in front of me.

He said he wouldn’
t read me anymore, so I must have a look really stressed or confused. I wish I could explain everything to him, but I can’t.

I sit on the chair with him, telling him of visiting the pack brothers’, and of their regret for how things ended.

“Do you believe they are sorry for losing you or nearly killing Angus?”

They did kill him. T
he thought makes me sick.

“I believe they are truly sorry for everything that happened.”

“Ok.”

“Ok? I don’t understand?”

“If you believe they are sorry for what happened then I will believe it, I may not forget but I will forgive.”

“Then they will respect you for it. You’re a very good man, I won’t listen to anything different.” I hug him hightly.

“I have you to thank for it, I had forgot what it was to love. I love you little one.”

“I love you Parrise.”

“Tell me of your life before all of this?”

“Ok, well what do you want to know?”

“Family, friends?”

“Well that’s easy. Den was my only family and only friend. We were bought up together by adoptive parents in England Suffolk, they were ok I guess. Friends, well I never had any girlfriends because they only used me to get to Den.”

“I’m sorry little one.”

“There is no need, Den has been everything I have ever needed in my life, and now I have you all, I just feel like I can be really happy. Do you know what I mean?”

“I’m starting to love.” He sighs and holds me tighter.

Parrise stays with me, as we sit in Parrise’s bedroom watching over Angus. He tells me of their travels and battles, until the sunrises. Parrise retreats to rest after giving up asking me to sleep with him in his room. I want to stay close to Angus and I don’t want Parrise to think I will be with him in a romantic way. I won’t give up on Sallack. However, getting to know Parrise so well is hard on my heart, as I watch him speak to me of things he has told no other, I can’t stop myself falling even further in love with him. Nevertheless, I will not act on it, as much as It pains me to not just give in and kiss his cool plump lips.

Parrise tells me that he and Angus were good friends and Warriors when they were turned after a battle in Scotland over 900 years ago. His sire, meaning the one to have changed him, Demitri, is an extremely well respected and powerful Vampire. He is known to all Vampires around the world for being savage and merciless.

I asked if he liked his sire; the look in Parrise’s eyes frightened me a little. He told me that Demitri is a spiteful evil predator, whom I shall never meet. Thank God! They are my feelings on the matter. If he produces fear in Parrise, then I most definitely never want to bump into him, EVER. He tells me of the wrong he did in his life, while under the care of Demitri. He made Parrise and Angus do unspeakable things. I was shocked that Parrise told me, but I know why he did, because he wanted it to come from him, no one else. When I told him, his past means nothing to me, who he is as from now is what I care for; he looked on at me full of love and gratitude. From that moment, as I gave him belief in himself, I knew the powers I hold as a Charmer. I will love Parrise up until the day I die.

I asked Parrise where Lucien is, as I was a little worried knowing he was in the same house, not that I will tell Parrise that. He said plainly,

“Gone and won’t be back, love.”

I get one of the new towels I asked Parrise to get for the bedroom and wash angus’s face, gently over his cheek bones and down his neck. His deep brown shoulder length hair sitting perfectly on the pillow. I finish up and take a shower, dressing in my nightclothes that Dallah kindly brought to me. Slipping under the sheets with Angus, I place my arm over his now healed body and gently squeezing him.

“Goodnight Angus.”

I’m so tired I don’t care if
it’s day or night any more. Closing my eyes, I think of the pack brothers’, Den, Dallah Parrise and my connection with Angus and the thought of bad men that would come for me if they knew who I really was. Well they can fuck off!

Waking after a long needed sleep, I smile to myself, feeling the coolness from Angus’s arms around me as I'm filled with joy.

“Angus you’re ok. Oh thank God!”

I scream
, jumping all over him whilst he is laughing aloud at my excitement.

“Ah my sweet little Zara. I know what you did for me, I love you Zara for all my life and after I will love you.”

I stop
and listen to his kind words as my heart swells with bliss. I can’t believe He’s back to his normal self like nothing happened.

“Oh Angus. I love you too, I really do, I’m so sorry for what happened to you.”

He
pulls me down onto his body so that I am lying on him with my head rested on his shoulder.

“I knew you were special, my sweet. Being a Charmer makes so much sense now.”

I lift my head quickly, shock painted on my face, mouth open.

“Don’t worry Zara I will never be disloyal to you. You bought me back with your heart. We are connected, I can feel you heart as part of mine, why would you do such a thing for a monster?”

“I know you wouldn’t Angus, I would never think of you as disloyal, and monster? Stop saying that. I know you have done bad things in your past, but that’s your past. The Angus I see has a huge heart, full of compassion and tenderness. I see you Angus as a Warrior and a stunning man, Who I love and would lay my life down for. You must believe me.” I plead with him. I don’t want him to think himself a monster. He is NOT a monster.

“My sweet, your words bring a man to his knees.” He puts his hands to my face and carry’s on, “I could hear your words calling to me, pulling              me back, the feel of your heart connecting to mine. You cleaning me, sleeping with me hand in hand. I will be by your side forever little Charmer.”

M
y single tear hits his cheek as he wipes under my eye with his thump.

“I want you as mine Zara!…it's ok I know your heart is taken by another man, but in case you ever fancy a roll in the sheet’s I’m your man. Ok?” He waggles his eyebrows at me with a big grin on his face. Good God he’s stunning.

“Ok Angus, I’ll keep it in mind…” I say jokingly, “…What do you know of Charmers?”

I run my hands through his silky hair and roll onto my side, with him still holding me.

“No more then you. I thought of you as a fairytale, as do most of us. You’re defiantly more than I would have expected. I’ll tell you this; you will have every monster around wanting you as his if anyone is to find out about you, that’s where I come in.” He says with a mischievous wink.

“I’m so glad your back Angus.”

We lock eyes, as I
feel my body tingles with warmth, as if I have the sun’s rays beaming on my skin, I have the most inexplicable need for Angus to drink from me! Angus’s eyes have turned a brilliant red color and his fangs have elongated. He looks unbelievably handsome.

“Angus?”

“Sweet, I think I need to taste you, if you don’t want me to I won’t. Don’t be scared Zara.” He says breathing heavily as if trying to fight off his need to bite me.

Nevertheless,
I am not scared, not at all, I feel like I need him to do this, it must have to be to do with our connection. Pulling my hair back to the side, I offer him my neck.

“I think we need to Angus.”

He leans in and places
a gentle kiss on my skin; I feel his heart beat rapidly along with mine. I feel his fangs penetrating the soft flesh my neck, but it’s not pain as I expected to feel, this is pure heaven. My eyes shut by their own accord, as the most mind-blowing orgasm hits me hard, while I moan along with Angus’s own moans of overwhelming pleasure. Angus removes his fangs from my neck, licking the incisions.

“That was unbelievable!” He says with a wide grin.

“Incredible, you could have warned me?” I say in a daze.

“Ah sweet when a Vampire of my age and power feeds from a woman, we can make the woman feel like they are having an orgasm, or we can just feed not caring how they might feel. We have the satisfaction of the blood, but what we had was unheard of. Never in my life have I had such an incredible feeling like that, and never will I again…. I healed you, stop doing that!”

He playfully smacks my hand away from my
neck, as I keep touching where he bit me, then looking at my fingers, wondering why there is no blood. He rests his head back on the pillow, still smiling. I can feel how happy he is.

“How did you heal me?”

“Our saliva closes and heals the incisions that our fangs make.”

Wait! I can feel his happiness, really feel it. The connection!

“Angus, Can you feel that! Do you feel me as I do you? That must have been why I wanted you to bite me, and why you wanted to bite me, to complete our connection.”

His head springs back up to mine
, only an inch from me.

“Yes, I can, amazing? You’re really happy!” He says a little shocked, as if he didn’t quite believe up until now.

He goes to kiss my lips, but I pull away from him, he isn’t upset, he starts to laugh
aloud.

“Sorry, just wanted to push my luck. All I have wanted to do since meeting you that night, is to have you in my bed wrapped in my arms. I can feel the love you have for Sallack, he is a lucky man. He best treat you right Zara!”
