Epilogue

Jackson

If I was being honest with myself I'd say that taking up the position a few years back with Charli was one of the best decisions I ever made. Technically she really didn't even need me around since she managed to fight her way through everything.

I look up and watch as she pushes the new couch across our living room floor, yes I said our living room.

After we got back to New York she moved in with me just outside of the city; her mum still being insanely bossy which I don't think will ever change.

Charli's decided to try her luck in getting involved in my line of work which at first I was a little hesitant to let her. I honestly don't think anything can stop her from doing what she wants now though. After she broke that wall down and finally stood up to her mum, she's become stronger, braver.

We decided to move right into the city and found a nice 3 bedroom apartment with a shared garage on the bottom floor, and a roof top terrace.

After Vince was arrested and denied bail he spent his time in and out of court where the evidence just stacked up against him; he was found guilty for numerous offences.

Since he no longer works at the agency, I applied for his position and hired Marty as one of the new trainers and recruiters. It'll be a little funny to watch Marty try and train Charli, but I think she's grateful that he was there that night and not more guys like Dodge.

"Are you going to help me or just stand there staring at me?" Charli asks and I can't help but smile at her standing there with her hand on her hip. My eyes roam down her body and see the light sheen of sweat trickle down her stomach.

"No Jax, I know that look" she says and takes a step behind the couch and points at me.

"Babe..."

"No...don't babe me, that won't work on me" she laughs and takes another step away as I move closer.

"What about sweetheart?"

She laughs louder at that one and rolls her eyes at me so I take my opportunity and run towards her catching her off guard. I pick her up and throw her over my shoulder as she squeals a little in surprise.

"You got to be more alert than that if you want to work with me" I say and pat her ass lightly as I walk around to the front of the couch. I drop her down gently and she just keeps laughing at me.

"Maybe I was letting you catch me, ever think of that hot shot?"

"You always have to have the last word don't you?" I say as I lay down on top of her on the couch.

"Mmhhmm" she says against my lips as I go to kiss her so I end up laughing harder.

"You are still a pain in the ass Charli you know that?"

"Mmhhmm" she murmurs again and lifts her head to reach my lips. She winks at me when she pulls away and then somehow flips us off the couch and lands on top of me on the floor.

"A good teacher once told me not to get distracted so easily" she smirks.

"It's a little hard with all this around" I say and run my fingers down her sides and stop when I reach her hips.

I grab the bottom of her t-shirt and slowly pull it up, she doesn't resist even one bit. I sit up and push her back so that she's lying down, then slowly pull her shorts down; I'll never get sick of these legs of hers.

I pull my shirt over my head and then finally press my lips to hers; her greedy little hands tugging at my hair as she tries to pull me closer.

"A bit impatient are we?"

"With you, always Jax."

Charli

After finally getting the house set up, hours later since we kept getting distracted, we are sitting on our new couch and watching some movies.

I couldn't be any happier even though we still argue about stupid things, and then make up in the best kinds of ways but that's what couples do.

I huge grin spreads across my face at the thought of us as a couple. Who would have thought that the sexy guard I was assigned who I wanted nothing more than to run way from was someone who loved me just as much as I loved him.

I know it's corny but I wouldn't have it any other way. That's what love is; this crazy emotional roller coaster. You don't choose who you fall in love with, it just happens. They could be so wrong for you, yet just what you need in life and somehow end up being perfect together. Jax intimidates me, challenges me every day like no one else can, yet he still allows me to be myself. He's someone I can share my mad little world with.

"What are you grinning at?" Jax asks and shifts his body so he's sitting up against the couch arm rest.

I lean down against his chest and wrap my arms around him as best I can.

"Just that I love you and thought it was funny how I wanted nothing more than to get rid of you when I first met you" I say as I turn my face and grin up at him.

He laughs a little and shakes his head before answering, "Love you too you crazy girl."
