The dirty thought entered Miriam’s mind to give herself some solitary pleasure. Neither Brad nor his young daughter would be waking up anytime soon–this was her time to relax on her own terms. On second thought, however, she wasn’t feeling particularly horny. Brad had satisfied her feminine urges pretty damn well, and she didn’t yet feel the need to supplement his efforts. Miriam put the flannel back and contented herself with caressing her body, running her hands across her slippery, wet skin. It felt soothing, rather than arousing, to explore herself in this way. The sensation was decidedly sensual rather than sexual.

The sensuality of the moment gave way to sentimentality when her hand came to rest on her belly and she remembered that she was pregnant. It had been a complete shock for her to discover that she’d gotten pregnant after the ATF raid on the bar. Brad had double-crossed her into betraying the gang’s main weapons cache, and in response she had tried and failed to kill him in anger. To find out that she was carrying his baby had made the trauma of the event so much worse. But Emily hadn’t had a say in whether or not she wanted to be conceived, and in the end, Miriam couldn’t bear to end the new life growing inside of her. Carrying and giving birth to Emily had been a risk that she was glad to take, in spite of the treachery of her daughter’s father.

This time, though, was different. This time she was reconciled with her old flame, and she had willingly consummated their rekindled love. This baby was no accident. Miriam wanted to have Brad’s children.

After giving birth to Emily, Miriam had tried her best to forget Brad and remove him from the picture, but raising a little girl without a father figure present had been hard. Now that Brad was here to stay, hopefully, she could start afresh, and finally put her shady criminal past as a biker chick behind her.

The curtain was swept aside suddenly, dramatically, startling Miriam as Brad stepped into the shower with her, also completely naked.

“Don’t you know when to knock?” Miriam demanded with mild indignation.

“I did knock,” replied Brad, casually embracing Miriam and pulling her in close, “but you were too busy . . . navel-gazing to hear me. Plus, you were humming to yourself.”

“No I wasn’t,” Miriam shot back defensively, even as she allowed Brad to hold her close.

“Yes you were,” said Brad confidently, stroking her damp hair with one hand.

“Why the hell would I be humming?” Miriam asked, her defensive tone softening.

“Maybe because you’re pregnant,” was Brad’s innocent yet blunt reply.

Miriam jerked in surprise to hear him spoil the news.

“How would you know?” she demanded, disappointed that he’d ruined it.

“Your regular bouts of nausea in the middle of the night for the past week,” Brad pointed out. “That’s a hard clue to miss.”

Miriam stayed silent, then slowly settled back into his arms.

“I was worried you wouldn’t want to stick around,” she confessed.

“Are you kidding?” Brad replied. “I want to be with you, Miriam. I want to be a part of your life, I want to be a part of Emily’s life, and I want to be there when her baby brother or sister is born and grows up.”

“That’s good to hear,” Miriam murmured with a smile.

“I did regret leaving you, Miriam,” Brad continued sincerely. “In fact it broke my heart to leave you behind in that tiny little town in the sand. I don’t regret the path I took, but I never want to leave your arms again.”

Miriam didn’t reply immediately. Instead, she snuggled even closer into Brad’s arms, incredibly moved by his words. In the midst of it all, she felt his cock start to harden again, stirring from its brief slumber.

“I think you may have earned some shower sex,” she said with a dirty smile.

Book 1 of the
Karthadossian Riders MC Series

Ellie Thorn and Rex Pershing have been friends since they were children. It was about the only thing their fathers--presidents of two rivaling outlaw biker gangs--could agree on: whatever rivalries between their motorcycle clubs may have didn't extend to the children.
But that was ten years ago.
Rex is starting to realize that the chubby girl he'd known all these years ago has become a beautiful, sexy woman in her own right. Likewise, Ellie has been eyeing Rex with some less-than-holy thoughts of her own. She wants him, his smile that made her heart flutter on sight, his strong tatted body, and his devil-may-care attitude.
But when Rex's father Manny Pershing--founder and president of the Siouxan Brothers--comes home from San Bernadino county after ten years and hell-bent on winning back the territories his club ceded to Ellie's father Xander, both Rex and Ellie will find that the agreement their fathers made when the two were children is no longer valid. Can their love survive the bitter grudges of their fathers?
