Addie continued rolling his smooth head over her nipples as she held the base of his length with her fingers. Chas, his head propped up on a pillow, watched as she pulled back and lowered her face, brushing his silky head with her closed lips. As if she were applying her lipstick, she rubbed his head across her wet mouth.
“Fuck, you’re killing me,” Chas said.
Once again, she rubbed his head over her lips, only that time, they were open and the tip of her tongue swiped over him. When she stroked his head over her opened lips the next time, her mouth covered it, her tongue swirling around it before she went back to rubbing his tip against her lips. With each swipe, each plunge, and each brushstroke, Chas felt wetter and wetter, and his balls tightened as his dick pulsed.
Fuck!
Looking up at him from under mascaraed lashes, Addie licked his crown with her full tongue. Watching her, Chas’s skin tightened and a million needles pricked at him. “Fuck, baby, you teasing me is drivin’ me crazy. Get up here so I can kiss you and suck your tits.”
Her wet lapping echoed in his ears as she shook her head and trailed her tongue down his cock. Running her hand up and down his hardness, she slowly circled her tongue around his head again. When she reached the tiny knob of flesh underneath his head, she gave it a few fast flicks with only the stiff tip of her tongue then returned to laving the head unhurriedly. Over and over, she repeated the sweet torture until he couldn’t stand it anymore.
Chas sat up, put his hands under Addie’s arms and slid her over him, his mouth crashing against hers. Breaking away for air, flushed and startled, she gasped, “What the hell?”
“On your knees, woman,” he said in a hoarse voice.
Not moving fast enough, Chas picked her up and placed her on her knees before him. Spreading her thighs wide, he licked his lips as he gazed at her pink, glistening heat.
“You’ve got the best pussy I’ve ever seen, precious. I gotta taste it, and then I’m gonna fuck you real hard.”
Before Addie could answer, Chas’s finger played with her sweet spot while his tongue dove into her hot wetness. As his tongue fucked her, his fingers moved up and down her folds, flicking her hard nub over and over. When her staccato moans filled the room, Chas spread her ass cheeks wide and rammed his aching cock into her warm, clenching pussy.
“Yeah, this is what I want. You feel good. So fuckin’ good.”
He grabbed a fistful of her hair and jerked it backward, making her back arch. Leaning over, he kissed the side of her face, his tongue trailing her jawline. As he pounded harder and harder, he pulled her hair until she cried out. He eased up, and wicked delight filled him when Addie said, “Don’t lighten up. Harder.”
Always aiming to please when it came to sex, Chas pushed her thighs wider with his knees then shoved Addie’s head down so her ass came up higher, allowing him to plunge deeper and rougher into her silkiness. Reaching under, he squeezed her tit, pinching her stiff peaks like crazy.
“Feels so good, Chas. Harder.”
“That’s what I fuckin’ love to hear.” Chas slapped her ass hard, and she jerked from the contact. His warm mouth soothed the sting. Then another slap, another soothing kiss. Chas replayed the scene over and over while Addie moaned and gasped into the mattress.
Grabbing her tits again, he rasped, “These tits are mine, all mine. You got that, woman?”
Not giving her time to answer, he squeezed her reddened ass. “This ass is mine.” Then he pinched her clit and slammed his cock back in her. “Your pussy is mine. All of you belongs to me. I’m claiming you, woman. No man will ever touch you but me. No cock will ever fuck your pussy but mine. And no man will ever suck your tits but me. You got that? You’re fuckin’ mine.
Mine
.”
Breathlessly, Addie panted, “I’m yours, Chas. Always and forever, yours.” Her voice squeaked and she yelled, “I’m coming! Oh, God…”
As her body convulsed, shuddering and clenching over his pounding dick, his balls tightened, his thighs stiffened, and a tsunami of moans and grunts came from him—surprising the hell out of him—followed by an out-of-this-world climax that shocked the shit out of him. As the last few drops of him spilled in Addie, he wrapped his arms around her waist and rolled her over with him. They were a tangled mess of arms and legs as they clung on tight, panting and sated.
After several minutes, Addie took Chas’s hand and traced tiny circles with her fingertips in the center. “You know something?” she whispered.
Kissing the top of her head, he answered against her hair. “What?”
“I love you. I really do. You don’t have to say it back. What we just shared brought out something inside of me I’ve never felt before, and I just had to tell you.” She brought his hand to her lips and kissed it, then held it close under her chin like a child with a favorite bedtime toy.
Fuck, the L-word. I can’t say it back. I’ve never cared for another woman the way I do for Addie, but love? I can’t go there. I can’t. But knowing she loves me feels fuckin’ awesome.
Chas hugged her closer to him and stroked her hair for a long while, until well after Addie had fallen asleep. Her love both thrilled and scared him. One thing he knew for sure—he’d never let her go. He’d claimed her, and she was his.
All
his.

Musical notes woke
Chas up from a deep sleep.
What the hell is that?
He was disoriented and the light, electronic tune filled the darkness. It was damned annoying. Reaching behind him, he picked up his phone. The screen was black.
That’s not my ring. What the fuck?
The tune played another chorus. Chas saw Addie’s phone on the nightstand, its screen illuminating, casting a blue glow. He glanced at Addie—she was sound asleep. A check of the time told him it was three-thirty in the morning. Chas picked up the phone and saw a local number flashing. Thinking it may be an emergency since it was so late, he answered it.
“Yeah?” Chas said.
“Hello?” a male voice responded. Upon hearing the voice, Chas’s anger pricked at him like an angry mosquito drawing blood on the skin.
“Is Lizzie there?” the voice asked.
Breathing out some of the anger, Chas said, “There’s no Lizzie here. You’ve got the wrong number.”
As Chas began to disengage, the cold voice continued. “I’m sorry, I meant Addie. Is Addie there?”
Chas’s eyes narrowed, and his jaw clenched. “She’s sleeping. Who in the hell are you, and why’re you calling so fuckin’ early in the morning?”
In a voice that dripped ice, the man answered, “Who in the hell are
you,
and why’re
you
with my wife so fucking early in the morning?”
“Y
our
wife
?” Chas
gritted.
“Yep, my beautiful, redheaded wife. I’ve come back for her.”
“Fuck off, asshole.” Chas threw the phone down on the nightstand. Roaring in his head and a deep pulsing around his clenched jaw made his eyes bleary.
What the fuck was that all about? Addie’s married? What the fuck?
He stared at her. The slam of her phone must have woken her because she stirred then looked at him through sleepy eyes. A big smile accompanied by a few scoots closer to him cooled his anger a little bit. Sitting up, back against the headboard, he reached out and smoothed down her hair. He couldn’t believe she wouldn’t have told him she was married. The guy was a jerk. It could be that fuckface, Snake, trying to harass her.
She gave him a quizzical gaze. “You look deep in thought. Anything wrong?”
“You married?”
The shock on her face as the color drained from it answered his question. Looking down at the sheets that covered them, she nodded.
Black and red spots danced in front of his eyes as the blood rushed to his head. “Fuck! Don’t you think that’s something you should’ve told me? I asked you if you were ever married, and you said no. Fuck!” Guttural sounds came from deep in his throat as he shook his fists, trying to keep from exploding. She’d fucking lied to him. She’d told him he was the only man in her life, that she fuckin’
loved
him, and yet she had a goddamned
husband
. What kind of shit was she throwing at him?
“It’s complicated.”
“I’d say it’s more than complicated. It’s fucked, and in a big way.” Not being able to stay still, he jumped up from the bed and paced around the small room. “You fuckin’ lied to me! Is all the shit you’ve been saying a pack of lies?” Anger coursed through his body at an alarming rate, and he had to do
something
. Grabbing a wooden folding chair, he hurled it against the wall; the splintering wood mimicked the splintering hurt and anger inside him.
Throwing her hands over her face, she cried, “Please, Chas. Stop. Please, calm down. I am
legally
married, but I left my husband over two years ago. I made up my mind I didn’t want to be with him.”
“Who’s Lizzie?” Chas eyed her suspiciously, the bite still in his voice.
“Me, my real name. I like Addie better. Addie is the new me. She’s the person who walked away from a very bad marriage with a cold, unloving sonofabitch.”
“You’re not from Denver, are you?”
Addie shook her head. “I’m from Chicago.”
Chas ran his hand through his hair. “Fuck, Addie. Why all the damn lies? Why did you
really
change your name?”
Addie paused for a few seconds. “So he wouldn’t find me.”
“Well, baby, he did.” Fear laced her eyes as he said that. Wondering why she was so afraid of him, he asked, “Did he abuse you?”
“No,” she said in barely a whisper.
“You need to tell me what the fuck is going on with you.”
“He wasn’t the person I thought he was. He was too controlling. I lived in a prison devoid of color, happiness, or love.” Tears welled in her eyes. “I couldn’t take it anymore. When I found out who he really was, I had to leave. I just had to.” Her voice hitched, and she covered her face with her hands again.
Chas gently took her hands away from her face and kissed her softly on her lips. “Why don’t you tell me the whole story?”
Addie cleared her throat, inhaled deeply, bunched the sheets in her hands, and shared her past with Chas. She confided her whole story to him, except the part where she was implicated in the murder of a doctor’s wife.
After she finished speaking, she looked up at Chas, her cheeks wet. He reached out and wiped them then tugged her into the crook of his arm. “Why don’t you divorce him? Why the charade of changing your name and setting up shop in Pinewood Springs?”
“I
had
to get away. Ian doesn’t play nice, and he’d never agree to a divorce. He can be cruel, and it was easier for me to disappear than to stay and try to reason with him. Ian doesn’t like to let go of his possessions very easily, and that’s what I am—his property. Changing my name assured me that it’d be harder to track me down. I took my father’s great-aunt’s middle name. I always loved the name. It seemed like a good fit.”
“Is Ian the fucker’s name?” When he heard Addie say it, his blood boiled.
Fuck!
She nodded.
Twirling strands of her hair around his fingers, he said, “You’re never gonna get free of him until you divorce the asshole.” He cupped her chin and gazed into her teary eyes. “You’re part of my life, and I get it about you keeping quiet about the fucker. I’m not gonna lie to you, I’m pissed at you for keeping this from me.” He placed his finger on her lips to silence her. “I heard your reasons, but it still doesn’t take away the fact that you didn’t trust me enough to tell me. In the beginning, I get why you didn’t say anything, but later on—now—fuck, it gnaws at me that you kept it from me. If the fucker wouldn’t have called, would you have ever told me?”
Sighing, she replied, “I’ll be honest with you, Chas. I don’t know. Most of the time, I forget that I was Lizzie. I love my new life. I love Pinewood Springs, the library, and all the people.” She kissed his chin. “And believe me, I love you. When I told you tonight that I love you, I meant it. It came from my heart. Don’t ever doubt my love for you.” She buried her face against his shoulder and cried.
“Come on, Addie, don’t cry. We’ll get through this.”
Fuck, I hate seeing her cry. I can handle anything she throws at me, but crying? No way. I hate the tears.
“I’m sorry I lied to you. I’m just so ashamed over my life with Ian. I’m ashamed about
everything
associated with him. Everything.”
“We won’t talk about it anymore tonight, but you
do
have to divorce him. As long as you’re tied to him, he’ll never leave you alone. And don’t worry about the fucker—I’ll handle him. You know, I get how hard it is to go through a divorce. It was hell going through it with Brianna, and she’s still a pain in the ass. Since we got Jack together, there’ll always be a string between us, but you’re alone. You can get rid of the asshole, and you’ll never need to have any contact with him. I’ll help you. If he won’t go for it then I’ll handle it. I can be very persuasive if I have to be.”
“I know you’re right, but I really don’t want to involve you. I can—”
