Rosalee screamed and held onto his shoulders for dear life as a magnificent orgasm tore through her body. She collapsed onto his body panting at the intensity.

Adam held her to him, gently running his hand up and down her back as he nuzzled her bonding mark. She felt his still semi-hard sex throbbing inside her, and she tensed her muscles around him. She was delighted at the lusty moan she elicited from her mate.

Rosalee nipped his ear. “How about we take this upstairs, Alpha?

“Sounds like a plan, sweetheart.” They had a long night ahead of them, and he did want her to be comfortable.

He lifted hers, keeping their bodies intimately entwined, and carried her to their room. His wolf howled in glee. Soon, if not already, their mate would be pregnant. He couldn’t wait.
Mate. Mine.

Carly & Cain – The Bed

Carly sighed as her mate kissed her shoulder and rubbed his stubbly chin on her bonding mark; pleasurable electric shocks darted straight to her sex. She rolled over and looked into the face of her rugged mate.

“Ummmm, morning.”

Cain ran his hand down her back and cupped her ass. She giggled as she felt his hot erection against her leg. “Don’t you ever get tired?”

Cain kissed her nose. “Not where you’re concerned, beautiful.”

“Ummmm, well, unfortunately, I’m starving.”

He stroked his thumb in circles on her buttock. “Good thinking. We’ll eat, recharge and then come back to bed.”

Carly nipped his chin, and he growled affectionately. “I think if you get any more charged you’ll shoot into space. I, however, need pancakes.”

“I could eat pancakes.”

“Shocking, the bear’s hungry.”

Carly wriggled out of his grasp and stood up stretching. Cain feasted on the sight of her luscious naked body. His bear groaned lustily. He was torn between allowing her to eat and just pulling her back into bed. He wanted her soft body writhing beneath him, trembling in ecstasy, but he also knew he wouldn’t be much of a mate if he let her go hungry.
Besides, if she started missing meals she might lose some of the sinful curves that drove him so wild.

Cain was disappointed when she covered herself in a kimono. “Spoilsport.”

She stuck out her tongue and wiggled her ass as she sashayed downstairs.
Minx
.

Leaning back in bed, Cain smiled as he heard his little mate pottering around the kitchen, humming happily. They’d only been together for a few weeks, but they were already so domesticated. They were like an old married couple,
who couldn’t keep their hands off each other.

His bear suddenly growled and he stiffened as he heard the front door open. The scent of an unknown male wolf assaulted his senses.
Carly!

Hurling himself out of bed, he ran downstairs.

“Carly, where the fuck are you?” demanded the belligerent sounding wolf, before oofing as the seven-foot Kodiak bear shifter crashed into him.

Cain pushed the wolf to the ground face first and knelt on his back. The wolf struggled helplessly under the weight of the bear.

Carly rushed in. “What’s happening? Bryce? What are you doing here?”

Bryce
. Cain seethed at the mere mention of his name.
Carly’s ex-boyfriend
. The wolf had treated her badly, cheated on her and then callously dumped her via a text message. Cain roared, ready to rip his throat out.

“Get him off me!” snarled Bryce as menacingly as possible,
which wasn’t very considering he was mashed against the floor.

Carly put a hand on her mate’s back. “You should probably get off him…”

In spite of the red hot rage he felt, Cain gave her an adoring look before slowly standing up. Carly always remembered her mother warning her about getting too near a male shifter when they were enraged. She said the male would just as soon lash out at anyone stupid enough to get near them, whether they were a female or a pup.
But it wasn’t like that with Cain.
The smallest touch from his mate saved him from the bloodlust, and made what felt like all-consuming anger just disappear.

Bryce squirmed on the floor. Carly made a move to help him, but Cain firmly took her hand. After a few moments, the very pissed-off wolf stood up. His face was purple with rage, and he was breathing heavily.

“What the fuck?” he yelled.

Cain snapped his jaws, and Carly squeezed his hand. “Bryce, what are you doing here?”

Bryce took in Carly’s rumpled hair and kimono while studiously avoiding looking at the naked bear shifter. “Who the fuck is this guy?”

Cain growled; his muscles trembled as his roaring beast tried to push forward. Carly sent him a strong wave of love, and his bear stilled, puffing out his chest proudly.

“Bryce, this is my mate, Cain. Cain, this is one of our pack, Bryce.”

Bryce’s eyes bulged. “Mate?! Our pack?!”

Carly shrugged. “Well, yes, now that he’s my mate he’s joined the pack.”

Cain stared at the male wolf with loathing. Cain was big, but at six-foot-four the guy was no light weight, he easily towered over Carly’s five-foot-three frame. The male wolf’s eyes were dark and his face was stony.
The thought of the cruel looking shifter ever having touched Carly was maddening.

Bryce looked between the small she-wolf and the large bear. “When did this start exactly?”

“I really don’t see that it’s your business, Bryce,” replied Carly quietly.

Bryce took a step toward Carly. “It better not have been when we were together!”

Cain stood in front of his mate, claws itching to be freed. “And if it was?”

Carly peeked around her broad bear. “It wasn’t; I’m not that kind of person. How is Carrie, by the way?”
The woman Bryce cheated on Carly with.

Bryce narrowed his eyes. “We broke up.”

“I’m sorry to hear that,” murmured Carly.

Bryce eyed the bear with displeasure. “I came to see if you were okay, Carly, but clearly your needs are being taken care of.”

Cain folded his massive arms. “She’s fan-fucking-tastic. How the hell did you get in our house?”

“Don’t you mean Carly’s house?” taunted Bryce.

“No, I mean our house, Carly belongs to me and everything she has is now ours.”

Bryce quirked an eyebrow at the she-wolf.
She’d always had a problem when Bryce acted possessively; it grated that she so readily accepted it from this bear
. “Carly gave me a key.”

“Which you’ll be giving back now, of course.”

Bryce opened his mouth to argue, but Carly interrupted, “Yes, I would like the key back, please.”

Bryce huffed and fished the key out of his pocket. He moved to pass it to Carly, but Cain snatched it up. “Well, then, I want my stuff back too!”

Carly clucked her tongue. “What stuff?”

Bryce looked into the house, which wasn’t easy with the enormous nude bear shifter blocking the way. “The TV! We bought that together, part of it is mine.”

Carly shook her head.
Fine with her!
She only agreed to buy it to keep Bryce happy. He was aghast at her tiny, old TV and insisted she upgrade to a large flat screen. “Fine, take the TV; we never watch it anyway.”

Cain smirked. “We’ve always got something better to do.”

Bryce scowled and stomped off to get it. Carly gently rubbed her mate’s back in soothing circles.

When Bryce returned, struggling with the extra weight, his lips curled upwards. “The bed.”

Carly frowned. “What about it?”

Bryce chuckled. “We bought the bed together too. Don’t you remember? We had to after we broke your last one.”

Cain’s eyes turned black with rage as Bryce leered at the she-wolf suggestively. Only Carly’s hand on his back was stopping him from lunging at the male wolf.

Carly’s wolf snapped her jaws at the nerve of this man. “You contributed fifty bucks! I’d hardly say we bought it together. I’ll give you fifty bucks.”

Seeing the discord and unhappiness in Cain was enough for Bryce. “Nah, don’t bother, sweetheart. I figure the amount of time we spent in it, I got my fifty bucks worth and then some.”

The male wolf winked at Carly and Cain let out an almighty roar. His bear howled in fury. The wolf paled, and Carly told him to leave quickly as she tried to calm her mate. She’d never seen Bryce move so fast as he ran out the door,
not an easy feat given he was clutching the TV.

Carly trailed kisses over her mate’s tense back. “I’m sorry about him.”

Cain turned round suddenly and grasped her arms. She tried to overcome the rage and hurt he was feeling.
It sure wasn’t easy.

“We’re getting rid of that bed.”

With that, the naked shifter stomped upstairs with Carly trailing after him. “But that’s silly! It’s only a couple of months old. It’s practically new!”

“How did your old bed break? Were the two of you having sex when it broke?” His bear snarled.

Carly pursed her lips. “It was just an old bed and, not that it makes any difference, no, we weren’t. We were just lying in bed when it collapsed.”

That didn’t calm him down at all. “Lying in bed? Did he have his arms round you? Did he curl himself around you and kiss your neck like I do?”

Carly felt her ire rise, but she tamped it down and instead forced herself to send warm, loving feelings to her mate. He visibly wilted and moved to sit down, although he bypassed the bed and slumped onto the window seat.

Carly walked over and stood before him. She raked her fingers through his short hair and kissed the top of his head. “If we’re going to get jealous of the people each of us has slept with before we found each other, I really don’t think you have a leg to stand on. My three to your ‘I lost count at fifty’ hardly compare, do they?”

Cain pulled her closer and nestled his head into her ample breasts. “No, I guess not.”

“It’s just a bed. It doesn’t mean anything. I mean, you start thinking like that and I could say, ‘I don’t want you wearing that t-shirt because you kissed another woman while wearing it.’ I mean, it’s silly.”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Although doubts still niggled him, and his bear whined.

“Of course I am, I’m great that way.”

“You sure are, beautiful.”

Carly yelped as Cain pulled her down to lap to straddle him. He pushed the kimono open and kissed the hard bud of her nipples. “You know, we haven’t had sex on this window seat yet…”

Carly gave him a saucy grin. “We haven’t? How very negligent of us. We really should rectify that now.”

They christened the window seat twice that morning before Carly absolutely said she had to eat something. After devouring pancakes, they decided to test out the sturdiness of the kitchen table and then had a nice long shower.
The issue of the bed apparently forgotten.

“Ooohhh, look at this one.” Kayleigh ran an admiring hand over a headboard. “You know I could really use a new bed too. Do you think Don would like it?”

Kayleigh, Melanie and Carly were at Bed World looking for a new bed for Carly and Cain. Carly still thought Cain was overreacting, but she wanted him to be happy. They hadn’t slept in the bed last night. Cain had kept her busy in every other room in the house until, eventually, they fell asleep on the couch. Cain wouldn’t admit it, but it was because he was still miffed.

Besides, it wouldn’t hurt to get a bigger bed. The one she already had was queen size, and fairly large, but her mate was colossal, and his feet hung off the edge. They had to press right up against one another when they slept.
Not that she was complaining…

Melanie bit back a snicker. “Yeah sure, Don strikes me as the kind of guy who goes for pink velour.”

The huge bed Kayleigh was fondling was pretty standard expect for the headboard which was in the shape of a heart and covered in pink velour.
It looked like something from an Austin Powers movie.

Kayleigh slipped off her shoes and climbed on the bed. She started lifting her feet up slowly until she got in a rhythm and was bouncing to her heart’s content.

Much to the displeasure of their wives, all the men in the store were grinning and nodding their heads with each bounce. It wasn’t everyday they saw a five-foot-seven buxom blonde jumping up and down giggling.
They were savoring the experience
.

A nervous looking sales assistant called Manny ran up, adam’s apple bobbing. “Miss! Miss, you can’t do that!”

A few of the men in the store booed but were pleased that Kayleigh continued bobbing up and down anyway. Melanie and Carly sat cross-legged on a bed opposite trying not to laugh.

“It’s Mrs., and I need to test out the durability of the bed,” she panted in between bounces.

Manny wrung his hands while trying to look anywhere but at Kayleigh’s enticing form. “I can assure you it’s a very sturdy bed.”

Kayleigh stopped bouncing and put her hands on her shapely hips. Her cheeks were flushed. “But is it sturdy enough?”

“Uhhhh…”

“Look, how can I put this delicately? My hubby is a wolf shifter, okay? He’s a very vigorous lover and a total headboard shaker. I need to know that this bed is going to stand up to being pounded at least three or four times a day.”

“Lucky cow,” muttered one of the women shoppers.

Manny turned a charming shade of tomato red as Carly hid her face in her hands, half in embarrassment and half amusement. “Well done, Kayleigh, very delicate!”

“Only three or four?” asked Melanie archly.
