“Need to be inside you. Feel all of you.”

“But—”

He shook with the effort it took to keep his
hips stationary, to stop from plunging into her hot, wet core.
“Hear me out. I want you.” Inhaling a shuddering breath, he
continued. “Not for tonight or tomorrow, but forever.” His mouth
suddenly went dry and he swallowed past the knot tightening his
throat. “I want to make love to you without any mental or physical
barrier between us.” He paused, frustrated, knowing he was screwing
this up. “Dammit, Kelly. I need this closeness with you. I need to
know that you feel the same—want the same.” Just then the head of
his dick eased into her pussy and he nearly screamed his next word.

Me!
Kelly. I need you to want me,” he said firmly before
his hoarse voice softened. “Darlin’, say you’ll stay with me
forever.”

Her eyes grew misty. She looked as if she was
going to cry.

A sinking sensation swept over him along with
the heat of disappointment, and then she smiled.

“I want you, too. Not for tonight or
tomorrow, but forever,” she repeated his sentiment.

The air he hadn’t known he held gushed out of
his lungs, pushing him forward. The slight movement against her
slickness slid him beyond her swollen folds, all the way into her
haven. He gasped at the same time he groaned with satisfaction.
Everything about her was heightened. Her warmth. Her creaminess.
Her tightness. The intimacy between them beyond anything he had
ever experienced with a woman.

At the same time guilt riddled him. Maybe
he’d pushed too hard, gone too fast. “Kelly, I’m sorry.” He started
to withdraw when her palms braced against his ass to hold him in
place.

“I want this as much as you do.”

And Lord knew she did.

Powerless to stop the wild fervor whipping
through her, she held on to him, her inner muscles pulsing around
him. Shifting restlessly beneath him, she craved the friction of
their bodies, the music that only they created together.

Then he pulled back, almost coming completely
out of her before easing back inside her incredibly
slow—excruciatingly slow. It felt so good. Her breaths turned to
panting sighs, and then to whimpers as she arched against him,
needing and wanting more. She could feel his heart pound to a
rhythm that matched hers.

“Fuck me, Trey.” She pulled him closer, her
fingers tangled in his silky hair as she hooked her legs around his
waist and ground against him.

His abdomen muscles jumped, twitched and a
growl rumbled somewhere deep inside him. Shoving his hands beneath
her ass, he palmed her cheeks before raising her hips off the bed.
Then he began to pump into her hard and fast, his grip holding her
still. Each stroke struck deep and true. His pelvic bone rasped
back and forth against her sensitive clit, driving her crazy.

Suddenly her body flushed with heat. A strong
tingle rippled in her sex, radiating outward like flailing
tentacles as the center of her core wound tighter and tighter,
building with an unbearable pressure. She sank the back of her head
into the pillow. Her thighs clenched his waist while her fingers
dug into his back. Then streams of electricity raced up her
trembling legs, slamming fast and furious into her groin. She
screamed as the heaviness inside exploded, sending a massive wave
of overwhelming pleasure throughout. It was like nothing she had
ever felt before.

As she began her descent, Trey pounded into
her cradle once, twice, before he cried out her name, stiffening
within her embrace. But the magic was inside her. His cock jerked
and swelled, releasing hot jets of come. The intimacy of the moment
set off another series of contractions within her and he trembled,
moaning long and low before collapsing atop her.

Body still throbbing, she opened her eyes and
saw him watching her. Her pulse sped in a way that had nothing to
do with their closeness and everything to do with the way he looked
at her. Tenderness, desire and adoration all swirled in his eyes
and maybe, just maybe, there was love there, too.

Would that be too much to hope for?

Rolling over, he stretched before gathering
her into his arms. “Kelly?” His husky voice interrupted her
thoughts.

She snuggled into his warm embrace.
“Hmmm?”

“I know things are said in the throes of
passion that one later regrets.”

Kelly tensed, her heart dropping. As she felt
the beginning of tears swell in her nose and eyes, she gave herself
a mental slap on the forehead. How foolish could she be? She held
silent as the air between them seemed to grow brittle.

“I need to hear you say that you’ll never
leave me.”

“Yes.” She released a breath of relief on a
hiss. “Trey, I’ll stay with you for however long you want me and TJ
to.”

“Darlin’, it appears you still don’t get it.
I’m not asking you to just live with me. I’m asking you to marry
me. I want you for my wife. Today made me see my life isn’t
complete without you and TJ. I know that we are practically
strangers, but oddly I don’t feel that way.”

“Marry?” she breathed.

Happiness made her almost giddy, but the
edges of her joy were dulled when she realized he hadn’t mentioned
love. Maybe it was too soon for him. Even she wasn’t sure when it
had happened, or how it happened so fast, but she knew without a
doubt she had fallen in love with Trey.

His Adam’s apple jumped and he angled his
shoulders away. “I know this sounds ridiculous.” His voice grew
taut and quavered. “But I love you.” He rushed in to add. “I think
I fell in love with you the moment I met you in Denver.”

“Oh, Trey.” This time when tears dampened her
eyes nothing short of a natural disaster could hold them back. “I
love you, too.” So much that her chest ached with the tender
emotion.

“Thank God.” He wiped her cheek. “Are those
happy tears?”

She nodded.

For a moment, they lay in each other’s arms,
basking in the warmth of their love, then Trey pressed a kiss upon
her forehead. “I’m sorry about earlier.”

“Earlier?”

“The no condom thing, but damn I wanted you
without latex between us.”

“I think we’ll be alright. I— Uhm— The timing
was good in this case.”

“Then we can do it again?” A grin spread
across his face as his eyes darkened with desire. “I can’t tell you
how good it felt. You’re so hot, wet. It was amazing.”

“It was for me, too.”

“Then maybe we could find a different method
of birth control? I hate condoms. It’s like feeling the rain on
your skin versus beating down on your umbrella.”

“Rain on an umbrella?” She chuckled.

“You think that’s funny?” He turned and began
to tickle her.

Giggling, she pushed his hands away, but he
caught her and drew her close. When he gazed into her eyes, his
laughter died. He nudged his nose against hers.

“Merry Christmas, Kelly.”

When he slanted his mouth over hers and eased
atop her, Kelly knew she had found Christmas magic in this man’s
arms.
