Scooter had finally got the fuckin' cast off his ankle, and had started riding his bike on short rides.

They all met at the Clubhouse at 7:30, on Monday. They drove over in the van.

Dean had already told Anne to stay home until he got back to her. She didn't question it. Shit was always going down that was none of her business.

When they arrived, Ken, the owner, let them into the small office. They were all ready for him. The interview was set for 8 am. 8 o'clock came and went. It was 8:20 and they were ready to call it, when Joel's truck rolled up.

Ken walked out of the office, as if he was headed to the first bay of the shop.

Joel piped up. “Hey, are you Ken?”

Ken nodded.

“I have an interview with you. I’m a bit late. Sorry 'bout that,” he said, not giving a reason.

“Oh, I was just about to give up on ya and get to work,” Ken said, as he pointed around the inside of the garage. “Here is the shop. We have three mechanics, including myself, and just need one more, with all the business that has been coming in.”

Joel nodded, looking around. “Nice.”

“Let’s go into the office and we can sit down and talk.” Ken pointed to the door, and let Joel walk through it first.

As soon as he was through the doorway, Ken scooted in, and shut the door.

Scooter grabbed him, and put him in a headlock. Joel was struggling hard, trying to get away. Dean got the tape on his mouth. Drifter was trying to get his legs, but Joel was panicking and kicking. Scooter and Drifter got him down to the ground, and got his hands tied. He continued to struggle and kick. Scooter leaned down, and talked to him.

“Look Joel, you know what you did and now it's time to face the fuckin' music. If you want to keep struggling, we will do what it takes to put an end to it.... or you can stop, and go quietly. We aren't gonna fuck you up yet, so chill the fuck out.” Scooter stood back up. “You gonna chill?”

Joel quickly nodded his head, and stopped kicking, as Drifter tied his ankles together.

Not wanting to say any more in front of Ken, they took their prize, and headed out the back door. Drifter had Joel thrown over his shoulder.

Once they were back at the club, they got him into his new living quarters, and tied into the chair. Then they left him there for a couple hours, mostly to scare the hell out of him.

Joel knew what happened to people who fucked with a MC, and he had fucked with their president. He knew he was a dead man, and was scared shitless. He had always been so careful not to be involved, and stay anonymous, and now his worst nightmare was unfolding. He did his best to test all the restraints, with no luck at all. He sat, and he waited for his doom.

After several hours of drinking and talking, Scooter and Drifter entered the room. Drifter approached Joel. Joel cowered, expecting to get hit.

“I'm not gonna hit you. Fuck. If I take that tape off, are you gonna talk, or scream like a bitch?” Scooter asked, as he removed a corner of the tape, so he could make out what Joel's answer would be.

“Taaak,” Joel managed to get out, around the rest of the tape.

Drifter still holding the corner, ripped it off quickly.

“Ahhh, Fuck!” Joel blurted out. “That fuckin' hurt.”

Drifter stepped back next to Scooter, and they just stared, hoping to intimidate him further.

After a few minutes, he started talking.

“Look, I didn't know it was you, Scooter. I don't ever see the details. I get the info, and forward it on, without even seeing it. For the love of God, if I had known it was you, and that Nikki's dad had been the one puttin' out the hit, I would have come to you.. I promise,” Joel said, singin' like a fuckin' canary.

“We got all that. You should be more careful when you are makin' phone calls on our fuckin' turf, you stupid ass,” Scooter warned him. “We got fuckin' ears everywhere.” He spun his finger in the air.

“I am so sorry guys. So fuckin' sorry,” Joel said, putting his head down. He knew he had blown it. He was ready to face the music.

“Whatever you guys want, I will tell you anything,” Joel said, with his head still down.

Scooter and Drifter left the room, and locked the door.

As they passed Dean's room, they could hear faint grunts and moans. While the cat's away the mouse will play. Both men shook their heads, and headed to the meeting room to discuss what to do next with Joel, George Dalton, and whoever the hit man was.

As they started to shut the door to the meeting room, the front door to the club opened. In walked Anne.

“Oh fuck,” Drifter said, under his breath, walking back out.

“Hey Anne, we aren't quite done here, hun. Can you come back in a while? I can text you,” Drifter said to her, trying to be casual. He made his way across the room to her, doing his best to get her back out the door.

“I left my wallet under the bar last night and I need to grab it really quick. Then I will be on my way, sorry guys.” She slipped past Drifter's big frame, and walked swiftly towards the bar. As she passed the hallway, she heard a familiar grunt. It stopped her, dead in her tracks.

“Anne honey, get your wallet and go,” Scooter said to her.

The look on her face was shock. She just stood there, slowly looking at both men, and then down the hall. Then she did an about face, and started down the hall.

Drifter was on her. “No Anne, you need to go.”

She looked up at him, with tears about to spill over. “Drifter, don't you fuckin' touch me.” She pulled out her master key, and slid it in the lock.

Dean’s voice from the other side of the door grumbled, “There is someone in here, God damn it.”

Drifter backed off. Even though he didn't allow women to overrule him, this was Anne, and she was more like a sister or a mom to him, not just another bitch. He respected that, and let her have her space to find the truth on the other side of that fuckin' door.

Anne was in shock. Was he really doing this to her? Was this the only time? This asshole is gonna get it. She kept the key in the lock, in the unlocked position, for a few more seconds.

Dean again, piped up from the other side of the door, “Guys, quit screwing around and get lost.” Both Dean and the woman giggled.

Anne's tears came hard and she grabbed the knob, and pushed the door open, revealing both of them. The whore is laid out on the bed, under Dean. He is still on her, and presumably, in her, as they both look towards the door.

The look on Dean's face is pure remorse, but he knows it is way too late for that.

Anne recognizes the whore, Sophie. She raised her head, and smiles at Anne.

Anne lunges towards her.

By this time, both Scooter and Drifter are standing just out of sight in the hall, to handle things if they get out of hand. They just did.

Drifter steps into the room to grab Anne around the waist. She slips from his hands, and jumps on Sophie, as Dean gets out of the way. Dean tries to grab her.

“Don't you lay a fuckin' hand on me you FUCKING ASSHOLE!” she screams, tears falling. She turns back to the little whore that is pinned to the bed by Anne's body.

“You little fuckin' whore! You not get the memo that this is my man, you stupid bitch?” Anne reaches for Sophie's throat, grabs with both hands, and starts to squeeze.

Drifter grabs Anne's wrists, putting pressure on the points that open her hands. He wraps her arms around herself, and slowly pulls her off the bed. She relents, and drops her head crying.

“Neither one of you is worth my time.” She gets to her feet, and heads for the door with Drifter right behind her.

Dean pulls his boxers on, and starts towards the door. “I am so sorry, Hun.”

“Don't waste your breath. You and I are over. Now it's all clear to me. You won't claim me because you need to dip your dick into that… well, she's all yours. Fuck you and your whore!” she spits out at him.

Sophie is gasping, as she recovers from briefly being choked. “Good going fuck face,” Drifter says to Dean, and shuts the door.

As soon as they get down the hall, Anne turns to Scooter and Drifter, “You knew about this didn't you?”

“Anne, you know we don't get into other brother's shit with their women, unless it's to protect them,” Scooter says.

“And this wasn't considered protecting me? Are you fucking serious?” She says, tears still streaming.

“So sorry, Anne. I tried to stop you,” Drifter says. This is tearing him up. He has firsthand knowledge of how she must be feeling.

Anne ignores them, and goes behind the bar to grab her wallet. Just then Sophie scurries from the hall to the front door, with her skimpy little outfit on.

“Get the fuck out, and stay out! I better not see you in here again, bitch!” Anne yelled at her, as she burst out the heavy club door.

“Anne, you stay out here with Drifter. I am gonna go have a little chat with Dean.” Scooter started down the hall.

Anne collapsed on one of the bar stools, put her head on the bar, and cried. Drifter didn't know what to do, so he just sat next to her, and rubbed her back, across her shoulder blades, not saying a word. He didn't know what to say to her, and he didn't want to get yelled at, so he just let her cry.

Scooter banged on Dean's door.

“It's open.”

Scooter went in and shut the door.

“Why the fuck didn't you stop her bro?” Dean asked, almost pissed off.

“We tried, we tried hard, but she heard your fuckin' gruntin,' and there was no stoppin' her. Just for the record, we were trying to stop her for her own good, not yours. You better find a way to make this right. Anne deserves better than this and you damn well know it. We all saw it comin', and here it is. You have been caught. She means the world to most of these guys, so make it right.”

“I will Pres,” Dean said, following him back out into the main room.

Anne popped her head up, and looked at him. She couldn't afford to walk away from this job, nor did she want to, so she, at that moment, decided she would make him suffer.

“I am so sorry, babe. Please forgive me. I won't ever see her again,” Dean begged.

She gathered her things, and stood up from the bar stool. She turned to Scooter and smiled, then to Drifter, and hugged him.

“Thanks boys, for letting me get my wallet. I will see you in the morning, when I am assuming that your club biz will be done. If it's not, let me know.” She sucked up her tears in her eyes, and walked out with dignity.

“That sounds fine Anne, see you tomorrow,” Scooter said, as she exited the building.

Dean knew as soon as she ignored him. Anne was not happy and his life was going to be hell. He had fucked up bad, big time, and no turnin' back. She was PISSED!
