“You’re telling me not to have an issue with my best friend kissing, my woman?”

He had to think fast.

“Did she respond to you?” Chase asked.

Shit. Lawrence didn’t want to go there.

“Yes, she responded.”

Chase smacked his fist against the wall.

“I don’t want you to talk to me.”

Lawrence watched his friend disappear. The front door slammed and he charged for the phone. Emily wasn’t picking up. He knew where he was going.

Lawrence cursed and grabbed his car keys. The sound of Chase’s bike leaving the house charged him into action. Emily didn’t deserve this cock fighting.

He drove the quick distance to her house. Chase was banging on the door and shouting for Emily to come out.

“Chase. Fucking stop this,” he yelled as he got out of the car.

A curtain twitched upstairs and Lawrence saw Emily staring down at Chase.

The front door opened. Tyler and Andrew stood at the door.

“Where’s Emily?” Chase demanded.

“None of your business, son. Get your attitude off my property,” Andrew pushed Chase away.

Lawrence seeing the fight brewing grabbed Chase by the arm. “The only person you want to fight is me,” he said.

Chase spun around with a crazy look on his face.

“You want to do this now?”

“I kissed your woman and I’m prepared to fight for her. This is the time and place.”

****

“You think we should fight for her?” Chase couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He loved his friend and he would not fight him for a woman. But Lawrence had admitted to kissing Emily. He couldn’t control his rage any longer.  For as long as he could remember he’d always been on the sidelines. watching his friend and Emily. No more. He wouldn’t back down, not from this fight.

“Yes. I want, Emily.”

He made it sound so simple. Lawrence wanted Emily and so he’d have her.

“I’m not going to fight you for the woman I love.”

“I remember when a woman was a piece of ass to you. What changed?” Lawrence asked.

Chase stared at his friend and saw the rage blazing out of his eyes. “I was, Emily’s first. That’s what changed.”

He knew he’d hit below the belt. He welcomed the coming attack.

Lawrence lashed out hitting him square in the jaw. “You bastard. You don’t deserve her.”

“You really want to do this, tough guy?”

Since high school, Lawrence and Chase had never fought over anything. Their friendship meant more to them than any woman. Usually they shared a woman they crushed on. Emily was different. She wasn’t some woman to use and discard.

Chase didn’t care that her parents watched. He knew how they saw him. They didn’t know how much Emily meant to him.

The curtain twitched again and he saw Emily staring at him. Her eyes pleading with him over the distance that separated them.

His very future depended on this fight. Some of the neighbors had come out to check out the commotion being made. He ignored them and lashed back out at his friend. Lawrence was a little smaller than him but knew how to use his fists.

Usually he gave time for him to relax and rest. Not this time.

“Emily, is mine.”

Chapter Seven

Her men were sparing over her. It was kind of hot if a woman was into the whole dominant guy routine.

She hunted for her dressing gown but couldn’t find it.

“Shit,” she shouted. Her mother stood staring at her. She had to do something. Never would she allow two men to ruin a friendship over her. She would leave town before she let that happen.

The flimsy white negligee did nothing to conceal her body. Flinging her arms up in the air she cursed and charged past her mother.

“Is this what you had to put up with?” she asked as she passed the older woman.

“I made a choice to save us all.”

Emily paused on the step and turned to her mother. “Do you love both of them?”

“With all my heart and soul. Being apart was tearing us up. I did what I had to do.”

She nodded her head and charged down the stairs. Her dad and Tyler stood blocking her path.

“Let me pass,” she demanded.

“No. You’re not going out there,” her father argued.

The sound of the grunts and knuckles hitting flesh made her cringe.

“Dad, I love you but I’ve got to do this.”

“You’re not going out there.”

Emily punched him in the arm. An immature act she knew. She had to grab his attention.

“Really, you want to go there. Isn’t this what you and Tyler had planned with mum? Out there are two men I love more than anything. If they get hurt because of this, I will hold you personally responsible.”

Her hands on her hips she faced off with the two men who’d tried to protect her when she was younger.

“You can do better than that, Spencer boy,” he growled.

“You don’t know, Chase. I do and he’s perfect for me. Step aside or lose me forever,” she told him. The ultimatum had sprung up on her instantly.

She had to use everything at her disposal to get him out of the way.

“Don’t threaten me!”

“Then step out of my way. I’ve left once and I can do it again.”

Tyler pulled her dad out of the way. She sent him a smile, she didn’t want to have to go through with her threat.

“Stop it,” she screamed running down the stairs. Lights from the garden helped her run down. Emily was pleased it was summer otherwise she’d be freezing her tits off. “Stop.”

Her voice wasn’t being heard.

She looked at them. A good distance was between them.

Going on instinct rather than thinking it through she ran between them. Chase had his fist raised and she stood in front of Lawrence. “Stop,” she yelled and closed her eyes. He’d thrown the punch before he’d seen her.

She waited for the pain and the lights. Nothing came. She opened her eyes to see Chase staring at her.

“Are you fucking stupid?” he growled.

“Don’t you dare scream and curse at me you fucking bastard.”

“See. She ran in front of me to protect me,” Lawrence said.

Emily turned and whacked him on the face. “Don’t start.”

Chase charged for him again.

“Will you guys stop?” Emily screamed as she got between them again. Blood, cuts and bruises marred their skin. The neighbors stood on their lawns looking at them. Her chest was heaving and she knew her breasts would be visible through the fabric.

“You kissed him,” Chase accused.

She turned and glared at Lawrence. “No. He kissed me.”

“But you responded.”

“I told you I’m a good catch,” Lawrence growled.

She ran a finger through her hair and stared at one man and then the other.

“Yes, I responded. It was our first kiss and it took me by surprise. Why the hell did you decide to settle this score outside my house?” Emily demanded.

“He fucking started it,” Lawrence growled and moved closer.

Emily pressed against his chest and pushed him away.

“I don’t care who started it. You’re best friends. Do you remember that? You do everything together. Do not let me get between you or your friendship.”

“You already did,” Chase said.

“When?” she asked.

“Five years ago in a motel room.”

Emily opened her eyes wide. She stared out past all the people.”You think this started then?”

“You are mine, Emily. You’re always going to be mine.” A thump of excitement coursed through her body. His gruff voice and demanding manner affecting her more than she’d have liked. In her mind an image flashed of Chase’s head between her spread thighs. His tongue licking up her cream. Shit. She didn’t have any panties on. Emily needed to reign in all those deliciously wicked memories otherwise she’d be embarrassing herself in front of all the neighbors and her parents.

“I’m not anyone’s property,” she argued even though it sounded weak to her.

“You’re mine.”

She stared at him and in her heart she knew it was true. She was his from the moment she walked inside that motel room. What she also knew is that she was Lawrence’s girl as well.

She’d never stopped wanting him.

“I told you. I’m not giving her up without a fight,” Lawrence said behind her. He’d gotten closer while she’d been talking with Chase.

“We can’t fight for her,” Chase said.

“Yes we can.”

“No. You can’t. I won’t let you fight outside my house.”
Why does this have to happen to me?

“Then you’ve got to choose,” Chase said.

“What?”

“If you want us to be friends, we need to know the man you want.”

Emily should have seen this coming. The guys reeked of testosterone and many other qualities. She glanced at Chase and then at Lawrence.

“I’m not picking between you two,” she told them.

“You’ve got to.”

“Yes, I agree with Chase. You’ve got to pick one of us.”

Emily stared at each man, one on either side of her.

“No. I won’t do that. I love you both. Lawrence, you’re one of my best friends and I love you but Chase you’re the man I’ve been thinking about for the past five years. I love you both the same but different and I know how stupid that sounds.” Emily pulled out of their hold and moved towards her house.  If Lawrence had been here that night five years ago would she be where she was now?

She pushed her hair behind her ear and glanced over the beautiful landscape. They may be two men living together but they had good taste.

The garden was maintained and the flowers decorative and gorgeous.

“When I was away I thought about us all together,” she said.

The truth. Her mother had a relationship with two men and they were happy. Could she be happy with Chase and Lawrence?

“What are you saying?” Lawrence asked.

“In Clifford Arbor we keep to ourselves, right? Anything goes? What if I don’t decide. What if I say we’re all in a relationship?”

Silence met her question. Emily bit her lip and wondered if she’d made a big mistake. Chase moved first. He placed a hand on her shoulder and she gasped. The contact shocking her more than anything. For five years she hadn’t been with another man. All she had were her memories of that night. The one night she’d spent in his arms. Loving, fucking whatever he wanted to call it.

“I’d do anything to be with you,” he said.

Her heart lifted and she turned, wrapped her arms around his neck. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Lawrence came into view. “We’d better try this out to see how it works,” he whispered.

Chase nodded. “Come live with us for the next couple of weeks.”

Emily liked the idea of being out of her parent’s house. She loved them but she knew she was cramping their style.

“What happens after two weeks?” she asked.

“If after two weeks, it’s not working and we really can’t deal with each other. Then we have a clean break. No complications.”

“And if it does work?” She needed to make sure everything was settled between them.

“Then you stay and we make a life together. The three of us.”

Chapter Eight

Emily packed a few things while Chase and Lawrence waited in the car. Lawrence stared at his friend while dabbing at a cut with a piece of towel her mother had brought out. He didn’t feel in a good mood. In fact he felt like shit. Chase didn’t look much better.

“We shouldn’t have fought on her front lawn,” he said to try and cut through the awkward silence.

“We got what we wanted. That’s the main thing.”

Lawrence nodded and watched as the door opened and closed.

“I’d do anything for her,” Lawrence told him.

“I know and that’s why this is going to work. I love her. Now is our time to prove how much we do.”

“I’m ready to go,” she said as soon as she caught up with them.

Chase hugged her close and placed her inside the truck Lawrence had brought. “I didn’t bring a second helmet. You’ll be safer in this than on my death trap.”

Lawrence smiled and drove home. He didn’t speak and every once in a while he checked his rear view mirror to make sure Chase was following close behind.

While his friend put away his bike, Lawrence took Emily inside their house. She used to spend time at their place before she left. He rubbed a hand over his face and took her suitcase from her. Chase came in a few minutes later.

“Do you want your own room?” Lawrence asked. He didn’t want her to be pressured into sharing a bed with one of them.

“No. She’ll share one of our beds,” Chase interrupted. Knocking out his idea.

Emily smiled at both men. “I can’t believe we’re going to do this.”

Blood rushed to his dick. The girl of his dreams was finally in his home. He dropped the suitcase and wrapped her in his arms. Her lush body was meant to be with him. He’d fantasized for years about his Emily.

She let out the cutest, little gasp followed by a moan. Chase came up behind her and pulled her hair out of the way. Lawrence watched as his friend kissed the column of her neck. Her eyes closed and she leaned back giving him better access.

He’d shared women with Chase before but never got off on watching his seduction. This wasn’t only about seducing her but savouring everything Emily had to offer. Every touch or and caress.

Lawrence was already addicted to her soft sounds. His cock rock hard and about to explode from his jeans.

Shit. He needed to get inside her hot little body soon.

Chase’s hands came up between them and removed her jacket. She still wore the plain white negligee that didn’t hide anything from sight.

“I can’t believe you came outside in this,” Lawrence growled. He took in every inch of exposed flesh. He wanted to see her tits and to taste them after being denied for so long.

“I had to get to you and I was dressed in this.”

“It’s so fucking sexy. What were you doing?” Chase demanded to know.

Fucking hell, Lawrence sensed his body responding to the low growl in his friend’s voice.

“I was fingering myself,” she replied.

Her fingers were digging into the flesh of his arm.
