Evan crawled over the bed to him and straddled Jesse’s hips. “Then you’ll stay with me tonight?”
“I’d love to.”
The smile Evan gave him struck Jesse in awe, not only at its beauty, but at the true happiness behind it.
Evan lowered his smiling lips to Jesse, delivering a slow, sensual kiss. So engrossed in the kiss, Jesse didn’t realize Evan had opened the lube until he felt his slippery fingers slathering his cock.

Evan slowly drew back from the kiss to kneel above Jesse’s jutting erection. He reached back with his slick fingers, inserting two inside his hole to line himself for Jesse. He finished quickly, and taking hold of Jesse’s shaft, he lowered himself, using his weight to push the cock inside him. As Jesse’s cock head passed over his rim and forced him open, he choked out a stuttering breath. He eased down a little more and moved his hand away, wiping it clean on the sheets, and placed both palms on Jesse’s ribcage. He paused briefly to let his body adjust, then dropped down until he sat fully on Jesse. He closed his eyes, reveling in the feel of Jesse’s hard length resting deep inside him. Never in his life had he felt so perfectly filled.

All the while, Jesse watched his cock sinking deeper and deeper into Evan, feeling each contour of his body, the moist inferno of him doubling his own body temperature, the tightness of him causing his body to shudder with the threat of climaxing.

Jesse moved his gaze over Evan. His strong legs dusted with hair leading up to his slender, angular hips. His thick cock pointed up to his belly button. The lines of muscle in his abdomen smeared with the wetness of pre-cum. The smoothness of his toned chest where his perked nipples waited for attention. Jesse ran his hands down Evan’s arms, feeling the cords of strength in his biceps and forearms. He laid his hands on Evan’s hands, veined and strong, and looked up at his face, so exquisitely beautiful. He stared at Evan, amazed that he was inside so magnificent a man.

Evan opened his eyes, finding Jesse’s on him. No one had ever looked at him the way Jesse was. People always stared at him with a wide-eyed star-struck gaze, but that wasn’t the look Jesse held for him. Maybe it was his own wishful thinking, but it seemed Jesse’s expression was one of complete attraction and affection for
him
, the man bared before him, not the man who sold out concerts across the world.

The thought sent a rush of emotions through him; joy that it could be true, desire to be with him beyond the weekend, fear that when Jesse learned the truth of him, he’d walk away. Evan battled the last emotion back. He didn’t want to think about that moment. He wanted this moment. He wanted to make Jesse happy.

Evan twisted his hands under Jesse’s and interlocked their fingers. He rocked on Jesse’s hips, pressing their palms together, using Jesse’s strength to brace himself. A high moan hummed in Jesse’s throat. Slowly Evan raised and lowered himself on Jesse’s length, going from base to tip over and over again. He lifted up until only the head was left inside him and thrust down on it in short movements.

Jesse exhaled a hushed sigh and arched his hips up, the teasing making him desperate to have his full cock engulfed in Evan’s heat once again.

Evan sank all the way down fast and hard, his head fell back with a loud groan. Jesse pressed his head back on the pillows with a moan closer to a shout. Evan pulled his hands free and laid them on Jesse’s chest, riding him so hard he rocked Jesse’s body on the bed. Jesse clenched Evan’s hips with both hands, breathing low groans with each of Evan’s thrusts.

Evan sat back, changing the rhythm of his movements by grinding Jesse deep inside him. He reached back with one hand to gently fondle Jesse’s balls. Jesse moaned louder. He pressed Evan down on his cock while raising his hips. Evan gasped and clutched Jesse’s forearms. Jesse moved Evan’s hips for him and jerked his own up hard.

Evan held onto Jesse’s forearms and let him take control of his body.

Jesse let go of Evan’s left hip and grabbed his cock, grinning at Evan’s loud cry that hit a note he had never heard from him before. Evan’s hand slapped down on Jesse’s chest, his fingers hooked into his pectoral. Jesse felt all of Evan’s muscles constrict. Evan slammed back, shouting as his climax shook him. At the warm wetness splattering across his stomach, Jesse snapped his hips up with his own release.

Evan opened his eyes, watching Jesse climax. He smiled. All this time he had thought Jesse was at his most beautiful when singing. Jesse relaxed under him, and he continued to gaze at him, admiring the passionate flush in his cheeks, his lips parted to take in deeper breaths, his black hair framing his face that was still concentrated on the pleasure he just received.

Jesse slowly began to smile, then his eyes opened. He gave Evan a light tug. Evan fell forward, his lips hovering above Jesse’s. Jesse brushed his fingers through Evan’s hair and touched his lips in a gentle kiss. “I think I’m addicted to this, too.”

Evan laughed softly and laid his head beside Jesse’s. “Me, too.”

The vibration of Jesse’s cell phone reverberated against the wood of the nightstand, making it sound ten times louder than it was. The sound stirred Jesse, but instead of agitation filling him at being awoken before ready, he lay peacefully thanks to Evan’s body pressed against him from behind, holding him with one arm draped over his waist. He had never woken up in anyone’s arms before and wanted to savor being cuddled against a firm body.

His phone silenced, and he shifted back into Evan. A pleased groan rumbled in Evan’s throat. He nuzzled into Jesse’s hair and gave him a squeeze. Jesse smiled and began to doze off when his phone started buzzing again.

“Are you going to answer it, or do you want me to chuck it in the lake?” Evan mumbled, his voice deep with sleep.

“Chuck it,” Jesse grumbled. He stretched for his phone, refusing to move from his position in Evan’s arms. He dragged it across the nightstand and yawned as he flipped it open. His eyes fell on the time. “Shit!”

Evan rested his chin on Jesse’s shoulder. “What’s wrong?”

“It’s nine-thirty. I was supposed to be at work an hour and a half ago.”
Evan yawned, flicking a nonchalant hand in the air. “It’s just a bookstore. Forget about it.”

“That’s easy for you to say. Who’s gonna pay my rent when I get fired?”

“I’ll pay your rent.”
“Yeah? Are you my sugar daddy now?”

“I’ll get my money’s worth.” Evan yanked Jesse closer by his hip and gave his shoulder a firm bite.
“Oww, vampire!” Jesse laughed, playfully shoving him away.
Evan flopped onto his back. “In all seriousness, you should quit that job. It does nothing but take time away from your music.”

“I’ll call in sick today, I’m just the stock manager so they can survive without me, but
I
can’t survive without a paycheck, and even though I appreciate your offer, there’s only one thing I want to suck off you and it’s not money.” Jesse flipped toward him and lay on his side with his head on Evan’s pillow as he scrolled through his missed calls. “Damn, everybody’s been calling me. Kenny called three times just this morning. That’s not like him to be awake before noon. I hope everything’s okay.”

Evan read Jesse’s phone, seeing the number fifteen next to Brandon’s name. “Your brother’s called you fifteen times since yesterday.”

“Yeah, he’s a psycho. It’s not my fault he didn’t answer his phone when I tried to call him. I left him a message letting him know I was fine, but it appears he’s decided to keep freakin’ out that I’m with someone he hasn’t met yet. He’s a really huge fan of yours, like scary huge, so when he does meet you he’ll probably warp into fanboy mode.”

“So long as he doesn’t maul me, we’ll be cool,” Evan said, climbing out of bed.
Jesse sat up, his eyes on Evan’s tight butt as he walked into the bathroom. “Has that ever happened before?”

“A lot of fans get overly touchy,” Evan called from the bathroom. “I do okay if it’s just a few people, but when I’d get surrounded by hordes pushing and screaming through security to get a grope in, that makes me nervous. I’d say it’s part of the reason why I get claustrophobic in crowds, but I’ve always been that way.”

Jesse quit scrolling through his phone, surprised by Evan’s statement. “Is that why you quit performing?”

Silence from the bathroom answered him.

Jesse sat quiet, wondering if Evan hadn’t heard him and was about to ask again when Evan’s subdued voice responded, “No. The crowds didn’t bother me when I was on stage. It was different.”

Jesse stared toward the bathroom. Why was it every time he brought up Evan’s career, Evan’s whole tone and mood changed? He became quiet and distant, and either dodged the question or replied as if in an interview with a polite response that still didn’t answer the question. It was as though Evan looked at music as something he did for a while, and now he had closed the book on that part of his life. He couldn’t understand how someone as gifted as Evan could turn his back on it.

He sighed and called Kenny’s cell. Maybe he expected too much. Even though he felt he’d known Evan forever with all that had happened between them, he shouldn’t expect Evan to feel the same way.

His thoughts halted as Kenny’s voice yelled through his cell phone without a hello.

“You bastard! I don’t even know where to begin with all the things I’m pissed at you about! Where the hell are you and where the hell are my guitars? I’m gonna kick your ass as soon as I see you for keeping them from me for two freakin’ days!”

Jesse held the phone away from his ear and Kenny’s screeching. When Kenny’s voice quieted asking if he was okay, Jesse put the phone back. “I’m great, awesome, and incredible!” He listened to Kenny take a deep breath, and as Kenny spoke again, he could tell it was through clenched teeth.

“Wonderful. I’m not even gonna get into it right now. We’ve got more important things going down. The secretary of that Greg guy from Phoenix Records called and said he wants us to come down to their offices today at two o’clock and bring a demo.”

Jesse bolted upright. “Are you serious?”

“I wouldn’t joke about this, man,” Kenny said, no traces of irritation left in his voice. “She tried to call you, too. This is it!”
“I can’t believe it! I’ll be home by noon!”
“Don’t be late!” Kenny yelled, and hung up.
Jesse snapped his phone closed and looked over at the bathroom.
Evan leaned against the doorframe. “Good news?”

“Phoenix wants to meet with me and Kenny today at two o’clock!”

Evan walked back across the bedroom. “That’s great.” He slipped under the covers, and Jesse bounced up to kneel on the bed.

“It’s more than great! Do you think they’ll sign us? I couldn’t imagine, I mean, I’ve dreamed about this for so long, but after playing in all those shitty bars I was beginning to worry it wasn’t going to happen. We just weren’t getting the right exposure, and the band! The people who were playing for us—”

Jesse’s words silenced as Evan’s mouth closed over his.

Evan pushed him onto his back and eased on top of him. “If you have this much energy, I can think of a hundred different ways to burn it.”

Jesse beamed up at him, his eyes glinting with excitement. “They’re your record label too, so you know all about them. You must be pretty good friends with them since you were hanging out with them when we met.”

Evan rolled off of him and lay on his back.

Jesse sprang up. “You could be on our album! You could sing a duet with me!” He crawled on top of Evan and sat on his hips. “If they decide to sign us, will you do that? Guest star on one of my songs?”

Evan brushed Jesse’s hair to the sides of his forehead. “Maybe.”

Jesse met his gaze, but only for a second before Evan glanced away. Jesse’s heart twisted at the injured look in Evan’s eyes, the strained tone in his voice. He did it again, mentioned music and caused Evan’s hidden pain to surface. Wanting to elevate Evan’s mood again, he glided his fingertips down Evan’s chest and tweaked one of his nipples. “Thanks for helping me get this meeting.”

Evan brought his eyes to Jesse’s. He laid one hand on the side of Jesse’s face. “Listen to me, I didn’t do anything to get you this meeting. All I did was lead Greg to you. He had the final say on whether or not to bring you in. I don’t want you to think you’re getting this chance because we spent the weekend together. Your talent earned you this opportunity. Not me.”

“I know. You could’ve been screwing me for a month before introducing me to him instead of stalking me at my shows. You know, I’ve heard of fans stalking a celebrity, but never a celebrity stalking a fan. You really do have your own way of doing things, don’t you?”

Evan laughed. “I wasn’t stalking you!”

Jesse took his lips down Evan’s throat. “But even though you say you didn’t do anything, technically you’re the catalyst since Greg never would have come to see me perform if it wasn’t for you. So I really should thank you.”

Evan closed his eyes, his fingers tangled in Jesse’s hair. “I don’t deserve any thanks, but if you’re going to insist on giving it, I guess I’ll take it.”

Jesse smiled as he kissed his way down Evan’s body.

Jesse glanced in his rearview mirror and smiled at the black Cadillac Escalade tailing him through the city streets. Even with his sunglasses on, Evan couldn’t hide how hot he was. Jesse watched the fingers of Evan’s right hand tap a rhythm on the top of the steering wheel; a red flash sparkled with each flick of his index finger from the ruby set in the eagle ring. During their weekend together, he noticed Evan didn’t wear his multitude of rings around the house, only the one that had belonged to his father.

Evan had yet to share anything about his family life, but from the snippets he let slip, he knew Evan’s father had passed away, and from what he could tell, he must have meant a lot to him since Evan always wore his ring. Jesse wondered if he would miss his father if he died. Considering he didn’t miss him while he was alive, probably not. Evan hadn’t said much about his mother, but now that he thought about it, he realized even though they talked a lot over the weekend, Evan had mostly asked questions about him and listened quietly as he spilled every detail about himself, while Evan answered his questions with a two sentence maximum.
